Rx Pack - Campus.2032

The following corrections are included in Rx Packs for August 2020. Rx Packs contain a small number of critical cases to fix urgent issues, with delivery in an immediate time frame (e.g., the fix cannot wait for the next four week Release Pack).

It is recommended that customers apply all subsequent Release Packs immediately following Rx Packs. Doing so will benefit both customers and Infinite Campus when it comes to supporting the patch.

Rx Packs are cumulative; each Rx pack will automatically include all previous Rx packs within that release. These cases will also be included in the Campus.2036 pack unless otherwise noted.

Montana Edition State Reported Data Script (SIS-140810)

A script has been run on the Montana Edition to remove the end date from records that match the following criteria:

  • No modifiedBy ID exists on the record within the State Reported Data Tab.
  • A 19-20 Enrollment Record has an End Date that matches the end date of the State Reported Data Record. This end date should be in the calendar year of 2020.
  • A 20-21 Enrollment Record exists.

If multiple records exist, only the most recent record has had the date removed.

Kentucky – Duration in School Days Not Auto-Calculating (SIS-140551)

The auto-calculated value for Duration in School Days for Behavior Resolutions with Start and End Dates/Times was failing to calculate and populate a value on resolutions. This issue was preventing users from being able to save new behavior resolution records. This issue was corrected.

Missouri - MOSIS Student Enrollment and Attendance (SIS-139802)

Field 125, Entry Date, and Field 135, Exit Date, are now required for the August Reporting Period. These fields are included when the Optional Fields Allowed checkbox is marked and when it isn't marked.

Missouri - MOSIS Student Core Extract - Teacher Name (SIS-139983)

Field 45, Teacher Name, was causing the MOSIS Student Core Extract to time out when generating when the Optional Fields Allowed checkbox was marked. This has been corrected by truncating the number of characters of a teacher's name to be 40 characters.

An issue where a warning message remained on the screen after saving a Prior Written Notice, preventing any further action, has been fixed.

Blended Learning - Update to Algorithm (SIS-140221)

The algorithm used to create learning groups has been updated to improve the balance of students across all learning groups.

Blended Learning - Automatic Group Creation (SIS-140406)

Creating new learning groups using the Add Students Automatically option returned an error if no Group Day Rotation value was entered. This has been corrected.

Events & Actions

Events and Actions–New events are not staying in an ‘Active’ status when saved (SIS-137862)

When creating a new event table, events were not staying active due to high database activity interference. This has been fixed.

To avoid future performance disruptions, Campus recommends saving the first active event for a table during off-peak hours when database activity is low. All subsequent events for that table can be saved at any point.

Iowa - State Reporting Updates (SIS-138242)

The following updates have been made in support of Iowa state reporting:

  • Updated the description for six transfer Entry Codes. (Student Information > General > Enrollments)
  • Added a new Destination Code of 15: Bucksbaum Academy. Additionally, the District ENtry Date field has been moved from the State Reporting Fields area of Enrollments to the core area. (Student Information > General > Enrollments > State Reporting Fields)
  • The ELLStatus field in the SRI Data Collections extract has been renamed ELStatus. (IA State Reporting > State Extracts > SRI Data Collections)
  • The Post Grade Plans option of 7: Homemaker has been deactivated and two new codes of 10: Apprenticeship and 11: Internship have been added. (Student Information > Graduation)
  • The Course Origination option of 6: Iowa Learning Online has been deactivated on both the Course and Section fields and a new code of 13: Iowa e-Learning Central has been added. (Scheduling > Courses > Course; Scheduling > Courses > Section)
  • The Graduation Seal Language has been updated with its own dictionary, instead of matching the language list of Home Primary Language. (Student Information > General > Graduation)
  • The ELL Extract has been renamed the EL Extract (IA State Reporting State Extracts)
  • The PROG_ELL fields in the Iowa Testing Barcode Extract and the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress have been renamed PROG_EL. (IA State Reporting > State Extracts)
  • The following fields have been removed from the SRI Data Collection: Entry Date into District, ELL Monitor Year 1 End Date, ELL Monitor Year 1 Decision, ELL Monitor Year 2 End Date, ELL Monitor Year 2 Decision, and Date Re-Entered LIEP Program. Orders Report Update (SIS-139757)

The Orders report was not retrieving Point of Sale Flags (flags used to identify students with food allergies) if the order date was after the flag start date. This issue was corrected. As part of this case, cosmetic changes were also made to the print screen and the csv report.

Arizona - Ed-Fi v3.3 Student Special Education Program Association Resource Update (SIS-140015)

The reasonExitedDescriptor in the Student Special Education Program Association resource has been updated to only send an exit reason of SPED13 if the end date on the SSEPA record is the last instructional day of the school year. If no other conditions are met, a default exit reason of SPED01 will be sent.

A resync on the Student Special Education Program Association needs to be completed with this update.

Kansas - 2020-21 KIDS Collection and KCAN Extract Updates (SIS-139552)

Modifications for the KIDS Collection and KCAN Extract are now available. See the articles below for detailed logic and reporting information.

KIDS Collection Extract

  • The version number for each extract type has been updated from 15.0 to 16.0.
  • Logic for First Entry Date into a School in the United States has been updated to report a value when the ESOL/Bilingual Program Participation Code reports a value of 1-7.
  • A new field, Language Instruction Education Program, has been added. This field reports the EL Service Type that falls within the start and end dates entered on the Extract editor when the ESOL/Bilingual Program Participation Code reports a value of 1, 2, 3 or 7. See the articles below for detailed reporting logic.
  • The ESOL/Bilingual Student Contact Minutes now reports a value when the ESOL/Bilingual Program Participation Code reports a value of 1, 2, 3 or 7.
  • The Kansas Preschool Program field and the Kansas Parents as Teachers now reports for grade levels 01, 02, 33, and 04.
  • New Dyslexia fields have been added that report from the new Dyslexia tool - Dyslexia Screener (field 60), Dyslexia Subtext (field 61), and Dyslexia Spring Benchmark Performance Level (field 62).
  • The State History/Gov Assessment field reports for grade levels 08-17.
  • New fields for reporting the History/Government Assessments have been added - History/Gov Recognize and Evaluate Score (field 78), History/Gov Analyze Context and Draw Conclusions (field 79), and History/Gov Research and Make Connections (field 80).   • A new Individual Plan of Study field has been added. This reports from the IPS tool.
  • On the MILT Extract, the following fields now report:
    • Residence of Homeless Student while Homeless (field 38)
    • Immigrant Student (field 55)
    • Country of Birth (field 56)

KCAN Extract

  • The version number for each extract type has been updated from 15.0 to 16.0.
  • The Migrant Student field now reports a value of 1 when the student has a migrant record that falls within the current school year's enrollment and within the effective date of the report.
  • The Single Parent Student now reports a value of 0 or 1, and when the last character of the KCC Identifier field is F, C, L or X.
  • The KCC Identifier field no longer uses the HistoryGovScore as a valid value.
  • The Course Section and Local Course ID fields no longer use the HistoryGovScore as a valid value.
  • The Course Status field no longer reports a value of 70.
  • Field 25 is now Work-based Learning. This reports a value of 1 when the Work-based Learning field is marked on the Course editor.
  • Fields History/Gov Assessment Task 1 Score (field 25), History/Gov Assessment Task 2 Score (field 26) and History/Gov Assessment Task 3 Score (field 27) have been removed.
  • Logic for the First Instruction Date (field 30) and Last Instruction Date (field 31) field has been updated to reference the Migrant Student and KCC Identifier fields.

Student Enrollment

The state has added a new value, 05: Transfer using unsafe school provision, to the Special Transfer options. This is used when a student transfers from one district to another district. This value is selected in the State Reporting Enrollment fields for a student. Districts should add this value to the Enrollment > Special Transfer attribute if they want to report it.

Massachusetts – SIF StaffPersonal Population Logic Correction (SIS-136418)

Blended Learning

Blended Learning Group - Error when Adjusting Learning Groups (SIS-140086)

Adjusting a student's assigned learning group from one future start dated group to another future start dated group where the student's assignment date is on or prior to the new group start date resulted in an error message indicating the adjustment wasn't completed and the current assigned learning group was deleted.

This has been corrected. Adjusting a student's learning group now completes successfully.

Google Drive and Youtube in Assignment WYSIWYG (SIS-140002)

Previously, the Google Drive and Youtube buttons were not available in the assignment WYSIWYG for districts that had enabled these connections. This has been corrected.

Blended Learning

Blending Learning - Future Group Display (SIS-139714)

For students who do not have a current Blended Learning Group assignment but are assigned to a group with a future start date, the Blended Learning Group icon now displays in the student header. Hovering over the icon displays the start date for that group.

Note that future group assignments do not display on Student Attendance.

This applies to the classic navigation of Campus only.

Data Extract Utility – SMB Extracts Unable to be Written to Subfolders and Duplicate Extract Names Now Allowed (SIS-139413)

SMB extracts were unable to be written to subfolders. This issue was corrected. Also, modifications were made to allow for duplicate extract names.

The CampusJobTrigger record was incorrectly being deleted and re-added each time a save was made in the Data Extract Utility. This issue was corrected.

Data Extract Utility – Character Limit in SQL Query Field Truncating Queries (SIS-139793)

A character limit on the SQL Query field of the Data Extract Utility was truncating some large SQL queries. To correct this issue, the character limit for this field has been increased.

An issue with Portal Preferences not working with the Custom Forms eSignature functionality has been resolved.

Update to Fix Zero Dollar Transaction Reference Numbers (SIS-139980)

Campus was assigning all zero dollar ($0) transactions the same transaction reference number. This issue was corrected. All zero dollar transactions are now assigned unique transaction reference numbers.

Security

New User Account Security Email Address Incorrectly Being Populated by Census Email Address (SIS-139859)

When a new user account is created, the person’s security email address was incorrectly being populated by their Census email address instead of asking/requiring the user enter their preferred email address. This issue was corrected.

Group Membership Assignment and Campus Account Assignment Limited to Product Security Roles for Add User Account Tool (SIS-139902)

The Add User Account tool has been updated to only allow users with a Product Security Role of Student Information System (SIS) or Student Information System – Group Assignment to add Group Memberships to newly created user accounts or to create Campus user accounts. Users who have Add User Account tool rights but not one of these product security roles are limited to only making Campus Student and Campus parent accounts and cannot assign tool or calendar rights for users.

Also, a missing column in the database was preventing some users from successfully creating new accounts via the Add User Account tool. This issue was corrected.

Iowa - New Program Participation Tabs (SIS-136357)

The following new tabs have been added to Program Participation for Iowa: Homeless, Migrant, Title 1, Gifted/Talented, and Section 504. Existing data has been converted from the Enrollments tab for all students in all years. The following fields have been deprecated from the Enrollments tab: Initial Homeless Type, Unaccompanied Homeless Youth, Homeless Served by McKinney-Vento, Migrant, Title 1, Title 1 School Choice, Supplemental Services (Title 1), Gifted/Talented, and Section 504.

Logic for the StudentSectionEnrollment/CourseEnrollmentStatus element has been updated to the following:

Report Value found in Roster > Enrollment Status. If that is null:

  • If Local Enrollment Status is 04 and Roster End Date = NOT Null and Roster End Date = the calendar day in the enrollment calendar with a Day Event = SD and course term end date is < = the state reporting date, report 03
  • When any of the following conditions are met, report 02:

Ad hoc Reporting - Blended Learning Term Summary View (SIS-139036)

New Blended Learning views have been added to the Query Wizard for the Student Data Type and the Course/Section Data Type.

For the Student Data Type, the *Blended Learning Term Summary* is available in the Student > Attendance folder. Use this view to find the total count of days a student is attending classes virtually and physically for a term.

For the Course/Section Data Type, the *Blended Learning Summary view* and *Blended Learning Summary (Overall)* are available in the Course > Section Information folder. Use these views to find the total count of students associated with particular Blended Learning groups.

Blended Learning - Automatic Group and Membership Assignment (SIS-139704)

The original COVID-19 Attendance Process available for recording virtual attendance in the 2019-20 school year has been replaced with Virtual Attendance Preferences, along with several other tools for Blended Learning.

If your district was using the original COVID-19 Attendance Process for recording attendance for students in the 2020-21 school year BUT Blended Learning Groups have NOT been created, one Blended Learning Group will be created automatically and all students enrolled in a calendar with Enable Covid-19 assignment insert marked will be assigned to that new group.

In addition, that automatic group, COVID-19 Attendance, is also associated with every attendance day in the affected calendar, accounting for all dates prior to taking this update. Students in calendars that do not have the COVID-19 Attendance assignments enabled will not be placed in the group.

Blended Learning Groups - Assigning Students to Same Household (SIS-139784)

When using the Adjust Blended Learning Groups, students in the same primary household were not assigned to the same learning group due to one of the students having multiple primary households. This caused each of the students to be assigned to new groups. This has been corrected. Students in the same household are assigned to the same learning group.

Blending Learning - Students without Households (SIS-139885)

Students who have no assigned household or are in a primary household without an address are now included in the automatic group creation process.

Daily Health Log Update for Campus Parent Portal (SIS-139790)

When viewing the Daily Health Log in the Campus Parent Portal, the Daily Health Log was not loading new information when changing students. This issues has been resolved.

Note that this case only effects LA customers.

Customers that have turned on the Daily Health Log in Campus Tools Portal Preferences during the LA period will need to reactivate the Daily Health Log.

Logic for the StudentPersonal/AddressList element has been updated to the following:

  • Send the address that is effective based on the State Reporting Date
    • If all addresses have an end date, send the address with the end date that is greater than or equal to the State Reporting Date
    • Otherwise, send the address with a null end date
    • For an address to be considered to be reported, the following must be true:
      • Address end date is null OR >= State reporting date. Household membership end date is null OR >= State Reporting date
      • Deleting, adding or editing a student's address or any fields/values related does not trigger a StudentPersonal event.
