Tool Search: Work-Based Learning
In Iowa, Work-Based Learning includes "sustained project-based learning in partnership with an employer, simulated work experiences aligned with industry-recognized credentials, high-quality pre-apprenticeships aligned to an apprenticeship, student learner programs, internships, and apprenticeships” (Senate File 2411). These experiences typically occur during high school and primarily take place in a physical work environment. However, some may be provided in a simulated or virtual work environment within a classroom setting. The Work-Based Learning tool allows staff to record students' participation.

Write - Edit existing Work-Based Learning records.
Add - Add new Work-Based Learning records.
Delete - Remove Work-Based Learning records.

Add a Work-Based Learning Record
- Select the New icon. A Work-Based Learning program information editor displays.
Work-Based Learning Detail Editor2. Enter the Start Date (required) of the record.
3. Select the WBL Experience.
4. Select the SCED Subject Area.
5. Enter any Comments related to the record.
6. Click the Save icon when finished.
