Notification History is your personal log of all the in-app alerts Campus has sent you. Think of it as the full inbox behind the bell icon in the top navigation bar. When you click that bell, you see a small dropdown with your most recent notifications. Notification History is the "see everything" version of that same list, showing your last 200 notifications in one place.
Things to consider
- For parents and students, your district controls which notification categories are active via Portal Display Options. If grades are hidden in Portal, grade notifications will not have a clickable link even if they appear in the list. Your district admin configures this.
- Each notification type has a default subscription, meaning users are automatically opted in. In some cases, users can unsubscribe from specific types. If unsubscribed, new notifications of that type won't be generated going forward, but notifications already in the history remain visible.
- Some notifications are specific to the student or parent context. For example, Assignment Reassign notifications are delivered only to students, not to parents. The system filters these based on the logged-in user's context.
- If notifications aren't appearing, the relevant product (Campus Learning, Food Service, etc.) isn't enabled at your district; the triggering events haven't occurred yet; Portal Display Options have the corresponding category turned off; or you may have unsubscribed from that notification type.

Campus Learning / Instruction

Groups (Campus Learning - Groups Feature)
Group notifications appear only if Campus Learning is licensed for your district and the Groups feature toggle is enabled. If it is not, group notification links are suppressed even if the notification record exists.
