Activity Registration

New Option to Copy an Activity (SIS-146194) [Enhancement] 

To save time, users (with Add tool rights) can now copy an existing Activity in the Activity Dashboard and the Activity Monitor. When you copy an Activity, Campus creates a new Activity by duplicating most of the information from the existing activity. Registration and Activity dates are not copied and must be entered. Campus verifies Activity Owners, Ad Hoc filters and Custom Forms are still active and requires you to update that information if necessary.

Printing Activity Registration Information on the Portal (SIS-146847)

Virtual Attendance Posting Job (SIS-145973)

Virtual Attendance Preferences (SIS-147017)

The Attendance Excuse warning that displays when using an attendance code that is not linked to the selected calendar was incorrectly triggering. It has been modified to only trigger when Virtual Attendance Posting is enabled and saved with an incorrect ExcuseID.

Blended Learning

Blended Learning Groups - Backdating Error Display (SIS-146592)

When a student has more than one enrollment in the same calendar (first enrollment ended, then second enrollment for re-enrollment), an error/warning message displayed when attempting to backdate a Blended Learning Group assignment. This has been corrected.

Campus Instruction

Pass/Fail Color Coding (SIS-123468)

Previously, when accessing the Grade Book as a guest, Pass/Fail color coding was incorrect if the score included a decimal point. This has been corrected.

Census

Mailing Labels Report (SIS-146153)

The following modifications have been made to the Mailing Labels Report:

  • Ad hoc filters now sort alphabetically.
    • Teacher, Staff and District labels only contain Ad hoc filters for the Census/Staff Data Type.
    • Student labels by Grade & Guardian contain Ad hoc filters for both the Census/Staff Data Type and Student Data Type.
  • When a student does not have any relationship records or when a student has relationship records, but not to a person marked as Guardian, the label prints the student's name and the student's address.
  • When generating Student by Course/Section labels, Source Calendar, Source Schedule Structure, Source Course and Source Section are now required.

Enrollments

State End Status, State Start Status (SIS-117614)

Marking the State End Status and State Start Status fields as "Hide" in the Attribute/Dictionary was not removing the fields from the Enrollment editor. This has been corrected.

Marking the Hide checkbox on an attribute causes the Required checkbox to become inactive.

This change does NOT affect BIE or State Edition.

Enrollment Status Report (SIS-44389)

When selecting one calendar from the report editor to include in the Enrollment Status Report, the header of the report lists the calendar selected from the report editor, not the calendar selected in the Campus toolbar.

When selecting more than one calendar from the report editor to include in the Enrollment Status Report, the header of the report lists the name and number of the district.

Learner Planning

Draft Special Ed Plans Added to Portal (SIS-144554) [Enhancement] 

Draft Special Ed Plans can now display as read-only on the Campus Parent and Campus Student Portal. From the Special Ed Documents tool, users can choose when a draft Plan will Publish to the Portal. In order to make changes to a draft Plan that is already on the Portal, users will need to remove the document from the Portal first.

Locator

Student Locator - Student Number Assignment (SIS-135937) [Enhancement] 

The Student Locator now assigns local student numbers based on the Student Number Format Preference.

When the Student Number Format is set to *No Auto Numbering*, a user can enter a specific student ID number.

When the Student Number Format is set to any of the other options:

  • When the person already exists in the database and is already assigned a Student Number, modification of that number is not possible (the field displays in gray text and edits cannot be made).
  • When the person already exists in the database, but a Student Number is NOT assigned, red text displays indicating the number is Automatically Generated.

The State ID assignment is managed by the Student State ID Method System Preference and has not been changed with this update.

Messenger (Email)– Chinese characters supported in email messages (SIS-135143) [Enhancement]

OneRoster

OneRoster Performance (SIS-142338)

Student data is now cached to improve the performance of the Student and Students by School endpoints in OneRoster 1.1 and 1.2. Student-related records are cached and updated hourly from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM and once overnight at 4:10 AM (local time). The specific time each refresh is triggered is dependent on the system restart time for the district. On non-production environments (sandbox, staging, and training) the cache is updated only nightly.

Examples of these changes include:

  • Creating or deleting a student's Person record.
  • Creating, deleting, or updating a student's User Account.
  • Creating or deleting an Enrollment in the active year for a student.
  • Updating the following data for a student: Student Number, State ID, Grade Level, or Username.
  • Changes to a student's enrollment status, whether by creating, deleting, or updating an existing enrollment or the status of an enrollment changing based on Start and End Dates.
  • Changes to an External LMS Exclude checkbox that affects the student (Enrollment, Grade Level, Calendar, or School).

OneRoster - IMS Global API for Assessments, Ability to Import Scores (SIS-145480) (SIS-145781) [Enhancement] 

Assessment results functionality with an API established through IMS Global is now available and Campus has completed testing with Pearson Ames Web. Using OneRoster technology, vendors can now import assessment data to state and district installations.

At this time, a manual connection to assessment vendors is required through the Learning Interoperability tool. A connection needs to be created, then the Assessment toggle can be set to Yes. Districts should verify with their assessments vendor to determine whether they are able to utilize this API for other assessments.

In future releases, assessment vendors will be added to the list of available Campus Digital Learning partners.

Refresh OneRoster Cache (SIS-146150) [Enhancement] 

A button called "Refresh OneRoster Cache" has been added to the bottom of the Learning Interoperability/Digital Learning Application Configuration tool. A process alert is sent when the refresh is complete. A refresh cannot be triggered if one is already in progress.

Previously, if a student had multiple enrollments in the same school and year, an error occurred in the getStudentForSchool OneRoster endpoint if one of the enrollment had an End Date in the future. This has been corrected.

Online Payments

Deposit Reporter Export (SIS-146015) [Enhancement] 

Now users can export detailed information from the Deposit Reporter. Report information can be exported as an Excel, PDF or CSV file. The exported report only includes the columns that are visible on the screen. As part of this update, information on the Deposit Detail panel can now be exported as a CSV file.

Option to Run Payments Reporter by Deposit Dates (SIS-146485) [Enhancement] 

Users can now filter report results according to Deposit Dates. Previously, only Payment Dates could be used. A new dropdown list called "View By" allows users to select whether they want to use Payment Dates or Deposit Dates when generating the report.

New Bank Reconciliation Option for Viewing Split Disbursements (SIS-147150)

Districts can now view exactly how transactions are being deposited into their bank accounts. Currently, the Deposit Reporter combines ACH and credit card transactions. However, a new option called "Bank Reconciliation" was added that allows districts to generate an Excel report that separates the deposit. For example, when a $20 deposit displays in the Deposit Reporter, the Bank Reconciliation file will display 2 deposits: ACH - $15.00 and CC- $5.00.

Student enrollmentID Added to Requesting and Releasing Districts Records Transfer (SIS-142417) [Enhancement] 

A district’s student enrollmentID is now included in both the requesting (requestEnrollmentID) and release district’s (releaseEnrollmentID) records when transferring records. This update helps to ensure the proper enrollment records are matched for each student between districts.

Report Cards

Report Preferences (SIS-146240) [Enhancement] 

The Publish to Portal label has been changed to Available In, and now allows the selection of Instruction (previously labeled as Available in Campus Instruction) and Portal.

  • When Instruction is marked, teachers have the ability to generate Report Cards.
  • When Portal is marked, reports are available in Campus Parent and Campus Student.

Reports that were marked as Publish in Portal and Available in Campus Instruction were converted to also be marked for Instruction and Portal.

This change applies to Report Cards, Schedules, Transcripts and eTranscript.

The search bar in the New Look and Feel of Infinite Campus has been updated to use an AND operator for multi-term searches. This update reduces the amount of results a user receives while improving the accuracy of multi-term searches.

For example, when entering text into the search bar, typing 'survey' would begin showing results for items matching this term but adding 'designer' as a second term would narrow results to items matching 'survey designer' (survey AND designer).

Arizona - Ed-Fi Student Program Associations Update (SIS-147183)

The triggering logic in the Student Program Associations resource has been updated to ignore any enrollment where the Resident District does not match the site district.

The overlapping enrollment end date logic in the Student Program Associations resource has been updated to only look at enrollments with a Local Service Type of 'P:Primary'. The enrollment logic has also been updated so enrollments with a Local Service Type other than ‘P:Primary’ only report if they are the only enrollment in a given time frame. Other local service types do not report if they overlap with any other enrollment from the same school or any other school.

A resync on the Student Program Associations resource needs to be completed with this update.

BIE–Assessment Report Share option enhancement (SIS-146486) [Enhancement] 

An enhancement has been made to the Share option in the pivot designer view of the Assessment Report. A URL link to the current view of the report will generate when Share is selected. This link can be shared with other users using any preferred copy/paste method. Access to the report using a shared link will expire based on the date and time entered in the Share Link Expiration Date fields.

In addition, two new buttons have been added to the Assessment Report editor screen:

  • View Share Links
  • Delete Share Links

Selecting View Share Links will populate a reviewable list of all the links that have been shared in CSV format. Selecting the Delete Share Link button will automatically delete all links that have been shared.

Tool rights are required for sending, receiving and deleting shared URL links. Consider reviewing the Tool Rights section of the Assessment Report article before assigning tool rights out.

Colorado - Testing District on Graduation Guidelines Report (SIS-146125)

A Testing District field has been added to the Assessment Test Setup editor. When marked, a Testing District field is available on the student's test record, and contains the same list of districts available in the Resident District and Serving District fields on the Enrollment record.

The Graduation Guidelines Report lists the selected Testing District in the District of Completion field when populated. When the Testing District field is not populated, the District Code reports.

Non-assessment based guidelines have also been updated to report the entered district; if no district is entered, the home district reports.

Missouri - Graduation Updates, MOSIS Student Core (SIS-146579)

A new Associates Degree Institution field has been added to the Graduation tool. Users can select from which college/university the student received their Associate's Degree. MOSIS Student Core now includes an Associate's Degree and an Associate Degree Institution field.

The Language field now uses its own set of languages, different from the list of languages available when selecting a student's Primary Home Language. The new list of languages is available for selection. MOSIS Student Core now includes a Seal of Biliteracy field, plus three language fields for the Seal of Biliteracy.

A new ICAP field and a new ICAP Review field have also been added to the MOSIS Student Core.

Missouri - Virtual Provider Field, MOSIS Student Course Completion (SIS-147005)

A Virtual Provider field and Other Virtual Provider field have been added to the Course Information, Course Master Information and Course Section editors. These fields allow the selection and/or entry of the organization where the student received online learning. The MOSIS Student Completion Extract has been modified to report these two fields.

In addition, the Student Course Completion Extract reports students in state grades K-05 when they are scheduled into courses marked Yes for Online Learning, and reports students in state grades 6-12.

Nevada

Nevada IEP Updates (SIS-143411)

Several updates have been made to the Nevada IEP, including a new print format (NV IEP 2021). The questions on the CRT Alternate Assessment editor have been updated. A Sequence field has been added to the Specially Designed Instruction, Supplementary Aids and Services, and Related Services editors. Upon Amending the IEP, validation has been removed that would automatically change the End Date on the Education Plan editor.

A new warning message displays when the text field on the Statewide and District wide Assessment is not filled out upon save. This update impacts the 2018.3, 2020, and 2021 print formats.

Nevada - Chronic Absenteeism Report Update (SIS-144742)

The column name "EL Four Years" was changed to "EL Four Years Exited < = 4 Years." The logic was also updated to report Y when a student’s most recent EL record has a Program Exit Date that is LESS than or equal to four years previous from the effective date on the extract editor.

Nevada IEP and Service Plan Updates (SIS-145921)

Several updates have been made to the Nevada IEP and Service Pan. A Sequence field has been added to the Specially Designed Instruction, Supplementary Aids and Services, and Related Services editors on both plans. When Amending, the logic that automatically calculates the Anticipated Duration of Services (IEP) and Service Plan Review Date (Service Plan) has been disabled. These fields can be manually updated.

Two new fields, Signature and Date, have been added to the Medicaid Consent editor on the Service Plan.

New Jersey - SMART SID Management Truancy Calculation (SIS-146705)

Logic for reporting Truancy Day calculations has been modified to use the values for Whole Day Absence and Half Day Absence entered on the Calendar Information editor.

  • A student is considered absent for a whole day when the total amount of minutes for which the student is marked absent is equal to or greater than the value entered in the Whole Day Absence field.
  • A student is considered absent for a half day when the total amount of minutes for which the student is marked absent is equal to the value entered in the Half Day Absence field but less than the value entered in the Whole Day Absence field.

This logic is used in the Cumulative Days In Membership (field 34), Cumulative Days Present (field 35), and Cumulative Days Towards Truancy (field 36) fields.

  • To report a final grade, the grading task must be marked as Final. If any reported grading task has Course Credit associatied with it, all grades marked as State Reported are reported.
  • A grade of I: Incomplete only reports if the term is over and no grade has been given for the reported grading task.
  • A record does not report if the student does not have a grade, unless the term has ended and the student has withdrawn.

The Course Instructor Template now also reports each Primary Teacher assigned to a course section, including historical teachers (has an End Date on the Staff History record for that section) and current teachers. Multiple records report for one section.

Pennsylvania - Student Template, Student Snapshot - Active Students, Reporting Periods (SIS-146397)

The PIMS Student Snapshot Template only reports students actively enrolled on the Effective Date.

Also, the Reporting Periods have been updated to be October/June and December. The October/June reporting period includes students who are actively enrolled on the entered effective date; the December reporting period includes students receiving special education services.

The PIMS Student Template no longer includes a Reporting Period selection on the editor. Students re included when their enrollments are within the Prior Reporting Date and the Effective Date entered on the report editor.

The Previous EIS SSN field has been removed from the Demographics tab and replaced with a checkbox of the same name. The following conversion has been done: for Tennessee students enrolled in District Number 190 in the active year, where SSN is not null and PIN is null, PIN has been set and Previous EIS SSN has been marked. PINs have been set to 919710000, 919710001, 919710002, etc, until all students who meet the criteria have been assigned a PIN.

The EIS 040 Student extract has been updated so that if Previous EIS SSN is marked, the student's SSN reports for the Previous EIS SSN field. The EIS 060 Staff Member extract has been updated so that if Previous EIS SSN reports as 0's.

Wisconsin - Ed-Fi Student Special Education Program Associations Update (SIS-146541)

An error that was occurring on the Student Special Education Program Associations resource when a new plan was created with an end date in a future school year for which a configuration did not exist has been corrected.

A resync on the Student Special Education Program Associations resource needs to be completed with this update.

Wisconsin - Ed-Fi Locator Tool Update for Multiple Configurations (SIS-146567)

The Ed-Fi locator tool has been updated to work with districts that have multiple Ed-Fi configurations in a year. An Identity Credential checkbox has been added to the Ed-Fi Configuration page for districts that have multiple credentials. If there are multiple Ed-Fi credentials, the 'Identity Credential' checkbox must be selected for one of the credentials.

The following SIF updates were made to allow for the collection of 638 and 648 data for the 2021-2022 school year:

  • The StudentIDEA extended element was moved to the StudentSchoolEnrollment object.
  • The StudentEthnicity and HomeLanguage extended elements were removed.
  • The DwellingArrangement and UnaccompaniedYouth extended elements were added.
  • The following extended elements were reporting null when a student’s enrollment Start Date is greater than the current date and have been updated to report their default value instead:
    • StudentFosterCare
    • StudentMilitaryConnected
    • UnaccompaniedYouth

StudentSchoolEnrollment

  • The StudentIDEA extended element was added.
  • Logic for the EntryDate element has been updated to the following:
    • Report the enrollment Start Date
      • Student Info>General>Enrollments>General Enrollment Info>Start Date

SchoolCourseInfo

  • Logic for SubjectArea/Code has been updated to the following:
    • Reports ""72"" when Content Area field on Course is not null.
    • Otherwise, SubjectAreaList reports null (<SubjectAreaList/>).
  • Logic for SubjectArea/OtherCodeList/OtherCode has been updated to the following:
    • Reports the code selected in Course > Content Area when not null.
    • Otherwise, SubjectAreaList reports null (<SubjectAreaList/>).
