Academic Planning

Academic Planner Error on Portal (SIS-172295)

The Academic Planner on on the Portal was displaying an error instead of the student's Academic Plan. This has been corrected.

Activity Registration

Activity Registration Maintenance (SIS-172246)

The following updates have been made to the Activity Registration tool:

  • Duplicate teacher names were shown under section on Post to Course Section. This has been corrected.
  • Activity Monitor step 4 description was not loading if the user clicked Previous in step 5. This has been corrected.
  • Added an info icon on Step 4 of the Activity Builder.

Assessments

Assessment Score Fields Update (SIS-170970)

The selection of certain score fields under the Test Detail section of the Assessment Center triggered errors that prevented users from creating or modifying assessments. The issue has been corrected.

Proficiency Levels Added to Assessment Center (SIS-171553) [Enhancement] 

The Result Statuses section under the Test Information area of the Assessment Center has been updated to include Proficiency fields.

Attributes have been added to the Test section of the Attribute Dictionary. These are unlocked so users can modify the list or add more dictionary values:

  • Proficiency Status
  • Proficiency EL Status

New checkboxes added:

  • 'Use Proficiency Statuses': Unchecked by default.
  • 'EL': Inactive until 'Use Proficiency Status' is marked.

Section headings changed:

  • 'Result Statuses' changed to 'Result / Proficiency Statuses'.
  • 'Label' changed to 'Result Label'.

New column added:

  • 'Proficiency Status': Required when 'Use Proficiency Statuses' is marked.

End of Life Messages Added to Proficiency Levels and Achievement Standards (SIS-171580) [Enhancement] 

The Proficiency Levels and Achievement Standards tools will not be available after Fall 2023.

The Result / Proficiency Statuses section (formerly known as Result Statuses) under the Test Information area of the Assessment Center has been updated to include Proficiency fields (SIS-171553).

Test Detail Date Fields Updated (SIS-172094) [Enhancement] 

The date fields under the Test Detail of the Assessment Center have been updated to require the full date value to save. An error toast message displays when the complete date value is not entered.

Test Detail User Interface Updated (SIS-172439) [Enhancement] 

The Test Detail section of the Assessment Center has been updated to enhance user experience:

  • Users can navigate backward / forward on the screen and expand / collapse the page dividers using the 'Tab' button on their computer keyboard.
  • All labels have been updated to be read when using a screen reader application.
  • The Proficiency Status field clears when the EL checkbox is selected after the Use Proficiency Statuses box is marked and data is entered in the Minimum Value, Result Code, Result Label, and Proficiency Status fields. This allows for the selection of an EL-specific proficiency code.

Campus Instruction

Instruction Reports - Multi-Select Dropdown Lists (SIS-158141) [Enhancement] 

Section dropdown lists in reports now stay open once clicked to allow users to select multiple sections without needing to reopen the dropdown list each time.

Accessing Classroom without Grade Book Rights (SIS-168332)

Previously, users who do not have tool rights to the Grade Book encountered an access error when accessing Classroom. This has been corrected.

Instruction Reports - Saved Templates (SIS-169952)

Previously, report options were not saved in the Save Report Options modal if the user dismissed the modal by hitting Enter instead of clicking Save. This has been corrected.

Importing Standards - CFDocument Limit (SIS-171050)

The CFDocument limit when importing standards via a CASE framework has been increased from the default value of 100 to 2000.

New Look of Campus and Classroom (SIS-172023)

Previously, when a user had enabled the Classroom view, the index in the New Look showed Classroom as the current tool, regardless of what tool the user was currently viewing. This has been corrected.

Previously, GRAD Scores were not displaying in the Advisory tool This has been corrected.

Campus Learning

Logging into Google Drive from Campus Student (SIS-166030)

Previously, Campus Student app users sometimes encountered a white screen when responding to assignments with Google Drive submission enabled. This has been corrected.

Campus Student & Campus Parent

Campus Student & Campus Parent Updates (SIS-172315) [Enhancement] 

The following updates have been made to Campus Student and Campus Parent:

  • Made updates to improve the accessibility of the home screen in Campus Parent and Campus Student.
  • Students with multiple enrollments now see tabs for each enrollment in Today's Schedule.
  • Rearranged the Day Event alert in the individual student card.

The following issues were also addressed:

  • Some language translations caused Campus Student and Campus Parent to lock up when selected.
  • Students were unable to see their Academic Plans under certain Enrollment scenarios.
  • Parents with only one student encountered errors when generating the Academic Plan Progress Report.
  • Clicking an email address in Campus Student/Parent to open an email with that recipient did not work if using a Chromebook.
  • If Academic Planning was enabled only for students, the Graduation Progress field still displayed in Campus Parent. If Academic Planning was enabled only for parents, the Graduation Progress field did not display in either Campus Student or Campus Parent.

Additionally, Zomi has been added to the Translation tool in Data Utilities > Language/Translations for districts who want to add translations for that language.

Custom

Enhancements to Custom Tool Management (SIS-171467) [Enhancement] 

The Custom Outline Link and Custom Tab tools have been replaced by Custom Tool Setup. This new tool streamlines the custom outline link and custom tool experience by providing a singular place to create and manage these items. All existing custom links and tools are now displayed in a single view, with each item’s Classic and New Look locations listed, the type of tool they are, and indication if they are state-owned and published (for state-linked districts).

Internally Linked Custom Tabs Generating Error (SIS-172123)

A previous case caused an issue with internally linked custom tabs opening with externalResource.jsp instead of plaintextURL.jsp, preventing users from accessing and using these tabs. This issue was corrected.

Delete Custom Tool Instructions Added to State Edition Custom Tool Setup (SIS-172487) [Enhancement] 

Additional instructions were added to the Custom Tool Setup within State Edition to inform State Edition users attempting to delete published custom tools that they must first unpublish the tool before they are allowed to delete it.

Data Validation Rules Update (SIS-171738) [Enhancement] 

Data Validation Rules for students that were converted from the Data Health Check are are now able to be run by school plus end year.

Data Validation Rules for Special Education and Behavior that were converted from the Data Health Check are are now able to be run by school plus end year.

Data Utilities

Data Extract Utility Stating File is Being Used by Another Process (SIS-158243)

Users were encountering an issue where the Data Extract Utility was failing to send out extract data stating it could not process because a file was being used by another process. This issue was corrected.

Data Extract Utility - New SFTP Mode Still Giving Some Users a Permissions Error (SIS-171838)

Some users utilizing the New SFTP mode in the Data Extract Utility were getting permissions error due to bugs related path format. This issue was corrected.

Data Health Check Removed (SIS-172091) [Enhancement] 

Per previous communications, the Data Health Check report has been removed. Existing Data Health Check rules were previously converted into Data Validation rules and Validation Groups will need to be added manually to the Data Validation Tool.

SIF v2.7 Certification Updates (SIS-167398) [Enhancement] 

The SIF functionality has been updated to use database triggers and a queue for processing in order to process data more efficiently.

Cash Payment Fix (SIS-169579)

Users were occasionally receiving an error message when trying to void a cash payment. This has been corrected.

FRAM Eligibility Interface Enhancement (SIS-166533) [Enhancement] 

The FRAM Eligibility tool has received a new user interface.

FRAM Letter Batch Alert (SIS-169070)

An alert has been added to the FRAM Letter Batch report notify users that FRAM Preferences need to be set to use the report.

Meal Benefits Fix (SIS-171491)

An error was occurring where parents would have to resubmit an application if they accidently added an invalid character in a Meal Benefits application case number. We have added a check on Step 5 for only alphanumeric in Benefits case number field.

Grading Setup

Course Master - Push to Courses Error (SIS-172255)

When using the Push to Courses button on the Course Master Information tool, there was no indication that the process worked. This has been corrected.

Health

Health Medication Dates Display Fix (SIS-172007)

An issue where Medications with future end dates were displaying in red as if the end date had passed has been fixed. Medications with future end dates display in blue.

Absenteeism Percent Insight Report Misnamed in New Look of Infinite Campus (SIS-171356)

The Absenteeism Percent Insights report in the New Look of Infinite Campus has been renamed to Absenteeism Tier to ensure this report has the same name in both Classic and New Look of Infinite Campus.

Insights Dashboard Now Customizable (SIS-171774) [Enhancement] 

The Insights Dashboard has been updated to allow users to control which four insights charts are displayed in what order on the dashboard. Templates created for each Insights report can be applied, meaning users can control not only which four charts are displayed but what and how data is displayed in each chart.

Learner Planning

State Edition Documents Warning Messages Updates (SIS-166709) [Enhancement] 

When State Edition users navigate to the Documents tool and All Districts is selected in the Campus toolbar, a message displays, "Please select the student's district in the Toolbar" when Documents exist for the student. When a District is selected that the student is not associated with, a message displays, "Please select the student's district in the Toolbar." When the student has no documents, a message displays, "No Documents." This update applies to the Special Ed, ILPA (KY only), and Gifted and Talented (KY only), Documents tools.

Medicaid

Medicaid Report Doses Calculation Fix (SIS-172037)

The Doses field on the Medicaid Service Log and the Medicaid Provider Service Log reports was not reporting correctly. This has been fixed so now the field correctly calculates from medication doses administered during Health Office Visits.

Messenger

Messenger 2.0 Recipient Report (SIS-168018) [Enhancement] 

Adding the ability to generate a CSV report to preview:

  • Total and Distinct recipient counts.

In the New Look of Infinite Campus, the Person title bar has been updated to allow for person, student, and/or staff information (such as Staff Number, Student Number, etc). This title is available and shown for all person, staff, and student tools which utilize this bar and will include any combination of person, staff, and student information as needed per person.

In the New Look of Infinite Campus, selecting a person from Person search results and then navigating to a tool which requires a user account be selected was causing the User search overlay to have a broken button that when selected causes the application to fail. This issue was corrected.

Programs - English Learners (EL) - Cannot Change EL Status After 2335 (SIS-172569)

Prior to the release of Campus.2335, the status of students in the EL Program could be changed and saved as long as they had a language entered in the Home Primary Language field. After the .2335 update, districts reported the error ""Language must be either something other than eng:English, or date determined misidentified must be filled in and program status must be set to Not EL"". This has been corrected for states who should be able to change and save a student's EL Program status without receiving an error.

Walk-In Scheduler - Ending Enrollments, Display in Schedule Structures (SIS-134590)

For every enrolled students (where they are not excluded), a record for 19: Other Academic Services need is sent, and reports the start date of the enrollment for the Student Need Entry Date, and the earlier date of either the enrollment end date or the last instructional date of the calendar for the Student Need Exit Date.

Student Program Associations

For every enrolled students (where they are not excluded), a record for 29: Title 1 Other Program need is sent, and reports the start date of the enrollment for the Begin Date, and the earlier date of either the enrollment end date or the last instructional date of the calendar for the End Date.

A resync is needed for both resources listed above.

Arizona - Parent Ed-Fi Locator Tool (SIS-171859)

The Parent search on the Ed-Fi Locator tool has been modified to no longer require the parent birth date to perform a search.

When a resync is performed on Student Parent Associations, a POST is attempted using the Parent Ed-Fi ID entered on the parent's demographics record. When this field is blank, a search and create is automatically performed, an Ed-Fi ID wis entered into the parent's demographics record, and the Student Parent Associations resource POSTs using the new Ed-Fi ID in the parentReference.

A resync of the Parents and Student Parent Associations resources is recommended.

The CALPADS SINF Extract now includes Guardian Highest Education 1 and Guardian Highest Education 2 fields. The highest education level of the student's guardians reports.

A new Graduation Exemption field has been added to the State Reporting Enrollment editor. This is used to determine whether a student was exempted from local graduation requirements. This field is also included in the SENR extract.

Missouri State Program Added (SIS-171061)

The Reading Success Plan state program tool has been added for Missouri to track students who require additional supports for acquiring and maintaining reading skills.

Missouri MOSIS Student Core Updates (SIS-171543)

Missouri IEP Updates (SIS-172321) [Enhancement] 

Several updates have been made to the Missouri Individual Education Plan and Individual Service Plan, including:

  • new print formats, MO IEP 2023.1 and MO ISP 2023.1, are now available.
  • three new editors, Post Secondary Plan, Post Secondary Transition Goal, and Post Secondary Transition Services, have been added.
  • the ACCESS for ELLS editor has been renamed to WIDA ACCESS. Some small verbiage changes have also been made to this editor.
  • the "A summary of formal and/or informal age appropriate transition assessment..." field has been removed from the PLAAFP editor.
  • verbiage has been updated on the Special Considerations, Course of Study, State Assessment Participation, Grade-Level Assessment Accommodations, and End of Course editors.

Nevada

Nevada-Virtual Checkbox Added to School History (SIS-169408) [Enhancement] 

A new 'Virtual' checkbox has been added to the School History screen under School Information. This update supports the identification and reporting of a school’s status as a virtual school. The checkbox displays in both the Nevada District and State Editions.

Oregon - On Track Program (SIS-171295)

A new On Track State Program tool is now available. This tool provides a way to indicate whether a student is on track with grade level requirements to graduate on time.

The Pronoun Setup tool, along with the Pronoun field on Demographics, Identities and the Portal, has been turned off for all South Dakota districts.

Tennessee

Tennessee - EIS 049 - Add I: Homebound Absent to Attendance State Codes (SIS-170824)

A new State Code, I: Homebound Absent, has been added for Tennessee. This Attendance Type reports a student assigned to a Homebound program as absent if the student was absent 50% or more of a given attendance day. This impacts the EIS 049 Student Attendance Extract (Tennessee) and the ADA/ADM Report (Tennessee).

Virginia

Virginia - Enrollment Roll Forward Error (SIS-167323)

The Enrollment Roll Forward tool returned an error when rolling enrollments to the next calendar. This was caused by an incorrect setup for a particular field on the enrollment record. This has been corrected.

Virginia Master Schedule Report Updates (SIS-171330)

Logic for reporting the Master Scheduled Report F and B Records has been updated. Two new SCED Course Level codes have also been added. This field is now required.

Virginia Student Record Collection and Attribute Updates (SIS-172262)

Several updates have been made to the attribute dictionary for the 23-24 school year, including:

  • the gender code, N: Non-Binary, has been removed and replaced with A: Other. All existing records with a N have been converted to A.
  • the 4 - BE-Advanced Math/Technology option in the Diploma Seal dropdown has been removed.
  • all half day kindergarten codes (KA: Half-Day Kindergarten-AM, KP: Half-Day Kindergarten-PM, JK: Junior Kindergarten, and T1: Transitional First Grade) have been removed.
  • Field 17, Kindergarten Half Day, has been removed from the SRC.

Wisconsin Local Health Department Report Updates (SIS-171762)

Several updates for the Wisconsin Local Health Department Report have been implemented for the 23-24 school year. Updates include:

  • The display order of the vaccines has been reordered.
  • The column, Grade 6 and Above, has been renamed to Grade 7 Enrollment and now counts only Tdap doses for 7th grade students. The summary total section has also been updated to sum the Grade 7 Enrollment column.
  • A new row, 5g. History of Varicella Disease, has been added to the Varicella section. This row counts students with the History of Disease (H:Hx/Dis) waiver. These students were previously counted in the Meets Minimum Requirements row.
  • The "Students with any waiver" summary total row logic has been updated to count students who have a R: Religious, M: Medical, OR C: Per Conv. waiver for one or all vaccines.

An issue where users were receiving an error after attempting to save an editor after an initial save has been fixed. This update applies to the (IE3/RE5) Need to Conduct Additional Assessments editor on the WI Existing Data Review 2022 format.

Wyoming - SIF StudentParticipationAsOfDate Update for Future Enrollments (SIS-168528)
