Ed-Fi Configuration Tool Rights

The Ed-Fi Configuration tool is used to establish a data connection between Campus and the Ed-Fi system and to map resources to Ed-Fi.

  • Access and view the Ed-Fi Configuration tool. 
  • Select the Reports button to view a list of available reports.

  • Click the Connection button to view the connection details. 
  • Test the connection. 
  • Switch the connection from On to Off, or Off to On.

  • View the Resource Preferences for the selected connection. 
  • Select the Reports button to view a list and generate the available report. 
  • View any uploaded certificates. 
  • Edit or configure new resource preferences.

Suggested User Groups

Typically, users of this tool have already been assigned one or more Product Security Roles that grant administrative-level access; therefore, a user group assignment is not necessary.

If your district's needs differ, you may choose to create a group to meet them.
