Academic Programs

Academic Programs (SIS-156298) [Enhancement] 

The ability to calculate and update CTE and Seals status has been added. A logical expression can be added to define the requirements for calculation in the Compound Requirements tool. Options have been added to the Course Plan Admin tool to update status for students who meet requirements.

Sync triggers were added to the state seal information when a record is added or modified on a State Edition of Infinite Campus. This information automatically syncs to all DIS districts, but states that use SIF need to manually sync this information.

Activity Registration

Activity Registration - Auto-Lock Forms (SIS-157215) [Enhancement] 

An option called Auto Form Lock has been added to the Roster in the Activity Monitor and Activity Dashboard to allow users to auto-complete and lock forms, rather than going through the forms individually. With this option enabled, in conjunction with the Registration Confirmation Process, registrations can be completed automatically when all forms are locked and payment is received.

Activity Registration - Various Fixes (SIS-157243)

The following updates have been made to the Activity Registration tool:

  • Resolved the server error that occurred when a user was added and removed more than once.
  • Added messages to provide more information when product types are removed.
  • Resolved the server error that occurred when assigning a Secondary Owner who is already the Primary Owner.
  • Revised options in step 5 of the Activity Builder for activities that require Preapproval.
  • Previously, if an activity requiring preapproval is created without preapproval being submitted and the user attempts to cancel the activity, the activity did not move to the previous tab with a status of 'Cancelled'. This has been corrected.

Assessments

Biliteracy Option Not Displaying (SIS-157818) [Enhancement] 

The Biliteracy assessment code was not displaying in Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Virginia. This has been corrected. The code BIL: Biliteracy has been added to the state dictionary for these states, so it displays as an Assessment Type option.

State Code Drop List Notification (SIS-157937) [Enhancement] 

A notification displays when adding a State Code to a State Test when the drop list options include the codes / values for individual states. For example, the message displays if the assigned State Code is ‘SD: South Dakota’. The notification reminds the user that assigning a State Code to a test prevents districts from editing the test.

State Edition Assessment Publication Update (SIS-157943) [Enhancement] 

State Edition users can publish tests designated as 'District Assessments'. These assessments display as options under the Select Test section of the Publish Test tool.

Daily Attendance Caller Report, Summary Report Formatting (SIS-156687)

When generating the Caller Report or the Summary Report from Daily Attendance in DOCX format, the header of the report and the alternate row shading were not displaying when there are 12 periods in the calendar. This has been corrected.

Campus Instruction

Assignments - Term Mask (SIS-114553)

When a Term Mask is unmarked on the Courses > Grading Tasks tab, assignments in that Term are moved to another term. Previously, if the Term Mask checkbox was re-marked, assignments sometimes did not move back correctly. This has been corrected.

Attendance in Advisory (SIS-154446)

Previously, if teachers clicked a date in the Attendance section of Advisory, they could receive a permissions error indicating that they do not have access. Teachers only need tool rights to Advisory to view data in that tool. The permissions issue has been resolved and teachers can now view attendance data in Advisory, even if they don't have tool rights to Student Information tools.

Curriculum Planner - Read-Only Access (SIS-129828)

Tool rights for the Curriculum Planner have been updated so that if a user only has Read rights to the tool, their access is limited to only viewing the planner.

Non-Campus Assignment Defaults (SIS-150195)

Previously, the Non-Campus Assignment Defaults tool did not display if a district had only OneRoster 1.2 connections. This has been corrected so that this tool displays for all teachers whose district has OneRoster connections.

Missing Assignments in Campus Student/Parent (SIS-158113)

Previously, if a student had missing assignments in both the extended previous school year and the current school year and student viewed the Assignments tool in the context of the current school year's enrollment, the Missing filter showed missing assignments from both the current and previous school years. This has been corrected.

Custom Tool Placement Editor Incorrectly Allowing Invalid Characters in URLs (SIS-147878)

The Custom Tool Placement Editor was incorrectly allowing invalid characters to be entered and saved in URLs, causing numerous issues within Infinite Campus. This issue was corrected.

All existing URLs containing invalid characters have had these characters replaced with a space.

The Retry functionality in the Ed-Fi Error Log has been updated to improve performance.

Ed-Fi - Reconciliation Report Update (SIS-157942)

The ‘Map to data field’ dropdown list in the Ed-Fi Reconciliation tool has been updated to include the Student State Id and Local Student Number fields to allow users to map to these fields.

The 'Students without an Ed-Fi ID' exclude option has been updated to 'Students without the selected ID'. The logic for the 'Students without the selected ID' field has been updated to exclude students with a missing id based on the id field that is mapped.

A query within the Student Parent Associations resource has been updated to help improve performance when resyncing by Person ID.

Enrollment Cleanup Wizard - Grade Level Issue (SIS-154875)

When using the Enrollment Cleanup Wizard to remove enrollments in future calendars AND Student Assignment Validation is enabled, non-numeric grade levels caused an error to occur. This has been corrected.

Enrollment Cleanup Wizard - Batch Sync Event (SIS-157514) [Enhancement] 

In the previous release, the Enrollment Cleanup Wizard was modified to include update functionality. With that change, a Batch Sync event had to be manually performed in order to sync the records from district to state edition.

Now, a Batch Sync event is automatically created, scoped to the destination calendar of the cleanup action, that pushes updates to enrollment, roster, and graduation records that have been modified by the cleanup action to the state edition. This only happened when the destination calendar end year matches the zone end year.

Ad hoc - Total Due All Years Updated (SIS-145826)

The "totalDueAllYears" filter field was created to report a value for active students even if they do not have a current year fee assigned (paid or unpaid).

Removing the Exempt checkbox from a fee caused a second fee to display after saving the Exempt to Non-Exempt change. This has been corrected.

When paying a fee using the Process Credit/Debit Card Payment Method, entering a Payment Amount of less than the Fee Balance caused the full balance of the fee to be processed (up to the fee maximum amount) rather than the amount entered. This has been corrected.

Vaccine Setup Validation Added (SIS-157841)

Previously, an error occurred on the Student Immunizations tool when the vaccine data entered on the tool was not linked to a vaccine on the Vaccine Setup tool. OneRoster

OneRoster - OAuth and Base URL Updates - Action Required (SIS-156159) [Enhancement] 

As a result of 1EdTech (IMS Global) deprecating the OAuth 1 security version, district users need to take action to update OneRoster connections. Additionally, the Base URL for all OneRoster connections has been updated. This new URL must be shared with vendors. A Connection Tracker has been added to the Learning Interoperability tool to assist users in managing these updates.

Connections using OneRoster 1.1 with OAuth 1

  • Support of OAuth 1 will end on June 30, 2023. At that point, any connections still using OAuth 1 will stop working.
  • Users must replace any connections using OAuth 1 with connections using OAuth 2 prior to that date.
  • Further instructions are provided in the OneRoster Migration Instructions article, including partner-specific information.

Connection using OneRoster 1.1 with OAuth 2 or OneRoster 1.2

  • Base URLs for all OneRoster connections have been updated. This URL is part of the credentials shared with partners when a new connection. The new URL must be shared with vendors prior to June 30, 2023.

Hawaii Special Ed Evaluation Updates (SIS-157032)

Several updates have been made to the Hawaii Evaluation (HI Eval 2022 print format), including:

  • validation has been added to the Assessment Needed dropdown on the Evaluation Status editor when No is selected, the Assessment Report editor is marked as Not Needed. When Yes is selected, the Assessment Report editor is required in order to Complete the Evaluation.
  • the Consent Sent Date and Consent Received Date fields on the Evaluation Status editor are now read only fields. Both values display on the Consent for Assessment Editor. Consent Sent Date pulls from the Provided to Parent Date field. Consent Received Date pulls from the School Received Consent Form Date field. The Consent Sent Date field is no longer required. 
  • the Case Manager Phone field has been removed from the Student Information editor.
  • the Examiners field on the Assessments Report editor is now a multi-select field. Those people listed as Active team members who are staff on the student's Team Members tool OR those manually entered display in this list.
  • the Pre-referral Interventions fields has been turned into a multi-select field on the following sections of the Assessment Reports editor: Academic, Observation, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech and Language.
  • the "Length of time Interventions are provided" field on the Reason for Referral editor has been changed from a number field to a text field so users can enter time such as "4 weeks." The Direct Admission Survey is now available for Minnesota users. Using the Survey Designer tool, districts/schools can send out the Direct Admission Survey which allows students to select and indicate which post-secondary schools they have an interest in receiving additional information. Within the Survey Designer tool, the Direct Admission Survey is separated into 6 versions, each representing a corresponding DSPA Reported Tier. This means if the district sends out the survey for Tier 5, only students with a DPSA Reported Tier of 5 will receive the survey.

Ohio - Student Assessment (FA) Updates (SIS-153747)

The GD and GM assessment records have been updated to add a new Test Day field, which reports the day the test was taken. The SA assessment record has been updated so that assessments with a Subject of W: Writing are no longer reported. Additionally, the State Standard field in Assessments > Score > Score Not Reported has been updated to remove code T: CTE student earning industry credentials in place of GY assessment.

Ohio - Student Acceleration (FB) Updates (SIS-156216)

The Acceleration subjects fields on student Enrollments have been updated with a new option of N: No Longer Accelerated. The FB Extract has been updated to remove the Accelerated Assessment Flag field and add a Filler field and a new Accelerated Status Flag field, which reports based on the Acceleration subjects fields. Report logic for the FB extract has been updated so that if any of the Acceleration fields are greater than or equal to 0 or N, a record is reported. The Accelerated Level Count field has been updated to report the Acceleration subject selected, or as 0 if N.

Additionally, the CTE Program of Concentration field has been updated to add 4 new codes.

The Attendance Summary Report was found to be reporting duplicate information for students who had more than one enrollment during the entered date range and different admission codes in the enrollments. This has been corrected.

The Attendance Summary Report and the Statistical Summary Report now report the same attendance information for students.
