Release notes provide the applicable personnel the ability to review enhancements, modifications and regulated changes prior to accepting an update. It is advised that users review the release notes carefully and alert appropriate district staff to changes in Campus.

The Release Information article lists the approximate release date of all 2020 Campus releases.

Academic Programs

Academic Planning (SIS-123027)

When a teacher added a course recommendation in a previous year to a student’s course plan that did not result in the student successfully being scheduled into the recommended course, teachers in subsequent years were unable to recommend that same course. This has been corrected.

Today’s Date Student Ad Hoc Fields Added (SIS-132268)  [Enhancement]  

The following ad hoc fields were added to the student view to allow for reporting today’s date values in ad hoc and messenger tools:

Ad hoc Reporting Filter Designer - Exporting to Excel or PDF with a Concatenate Function (SIS-133873)

When exporting a filter that included a Concatenate Function to either Excel or PDF caused display issues, including an error message and html tags. This has been corrected.

Test Results Report (SIS-132893)

The Test Results Report was not filtering on selected grade levels or a result option. This has been corrected. In addition, the following text changes have also been made:

  • The Score Type Section now reads as 'Which Score Type(s) would you like to include on the report?'
  • When 'Include only tests that students have not taken' is marked, the 'Which results would you like to include in the report?' and 'Which score Types would you like to display in the report?' are not available for selection. This also applies to the Student Assessment Summary available in Campus Instruction.

Attendance

Attendance Wizard (SIS-120838)

When using the ‘Period’ mode in the Attendance Wizard, ‘Current Period’ time was using military time. This has been updated to the 12 hour AM/PM time.

Attendance Letters (SIS-124197)

When generating an attendance letter, ‘Qualified Date’ was sorting numerically. This has been updated and generated letters will sort by the date the student qualified to receive the letter based on the entered qualification criteria.

Attendance (SIS-134355)

When a large number of periods or period schedules exist, certain views of a student’s attendance will not display all period absences correctly. This has been corrected.

Behavior

Behavior Audit Attendance Report (SIS-85143)

The following modifications have been made to the Behavior Audit Attendance Report:

  • Roster start and end dates are now considered when including a student in the Behavior Resolutions without a Selected Corresponding Attendance Code report.
  • An Attendance Date column (Attn Date) now displays for the Behavior Resolutions without a Selected Corresponding Attendance Code report.
  • Multiple School Months can now be selected for states that use School Months.
  • The report editor note has been updated.

Calendars

Ability to Delete Unwanted Calendars (SIS-122902)  [Enhancement]  

With proper assigned tool rights, users can now delete calendars that were created in error or as part of the scheduling process and are no longer needed using the new Mark for Deletion option on Calendar Details and the new Delete Calendar tool.

This process is two-fold.

  1. Marking a for deletion (Calendar Details). This means a user can select a particular calendar to be deleted and add a comment as to why it's being deleted. The calendar can also be unmarked for deletion.
  2. Removal of calendars that are marked for deletion (Delete Calendar). This involves viewing a list of calendars that have been marked for deletion, validating those calendars, previewing the calendars, deleting those calendars, and printing a report of those deleted calendars.

A user who marks a calendar for deletion may not be the same person who performs the deletion of calendars. Those responsible for scheduling may have the ability to mark unwanted calendars for deletion, but the Campus Administrator may be the one who performs the removal of calendars. Tool rights are required for both the Mark Calendar for Deletion process and Delete Calendars process. See the articles below for information on tool rights.

Campus Instruction

Control Center - Attendance (SIS-134117)

Previously, when viewing attendance details for a student through the Control Center, dates did not line up properly in the calendar. This has been corrected.

Reports - Student with Multiple Enrollments (SIS-134236)

Previously, students with two enrollments in the same calendar (as a result of a grade level change) displayed twice in the Select Students list in reports. This has been corrected.

Report Font Changes (SIS-134370)  [Enhancement]  

All reports that include standards have been updated with to display in a new font that includes a wider selection of symbols, special characters, and languages.

Missing Flag in Multi-Score (SIS-134697)

Previously, if filling all scores in the multi-score editor, the missing flag was not cleared for all students even if the option to remove the flag had been selected. This has been corrected.

Comments in the Grade Book (SIS-134808)

Previously, teachers could enter custom comments when the Grade Book was scoped to a section group even if the system preference to disable custom comments had been set. This has been corrected.

Previously, teachers assigned to sections that did not have a section placement could not use the Advisory tool. This has been corrected.

Campus Learning

Printing Scoring Rubrics (SIS-128923)

Previously, when printing a scoring rubric from an assignment, the system attempted to print scored rubrics, instead of a printed version of an unscored rubric. This has been corrected. Scored rubrics can be printed from the Scored Rubrics report.

Score Analysis Update (SIS-135623)  [Enhancement]  

The Score Analysis tool is now available in the Multi-Score editor and the scoring screen in the Progress Monitor.

Campus Parent and Amazon Alexa (SIS-135409)  [Enhancement]  

Infinite Campus has integrated with Amazon Alexa to provide parents with access to select Campus Parent information via Alexa. This functionality is available as of GA of this release, with the Infinite Campus Alexa Skill available in the Alexa Store.

Parents in districts with both Campus Learning and Campus Messenger licenses have the option of enabling this Alexa skill if they so choose. The same district-managed Portal Preferences and other settings that determine what displays in Campus Parent also apply to data accessed through the Infinite Campus Alexa Skill. Parents in districts with licenses to both products will see a notification in Campus Parent that the Infinite Campus Alexa Skill is available. Parents may then choose to configure the connection to Alexa by following the instructions in Campus Parent.

Census (Address) (SIS-135561)  [Enhancement]  

An enhancement has been made to increase the size of the Address ‘Tract’ field from a 5 character limit to 10.

Combine Person

Combine Person Reset Button Generating Console Error and Fails to Clear Fields (SIS-134908)

Clicking the Reset button in the Combine Person tool was incorrectly generating a console error and was failing clear out the search fields and search results window. These issues were corrected.

Ed-Fi

Ed-Fi – Student Education Organization Association Update (SIS-133183)

The default values for the Languages element in the Student Education Organization Associations resource were previously not sending correctly. This issue has been resolved.

Ed-Fi – Core Versions Release, Bug Fixes, and Certificate Import Tool (SIS-134331)

The Core Ed-Fi API for version 2.x and 3.1 have been made available with this release.

The Certificate Import Tool has been made available to allow users the ability to import Certificates needed for Ed-Fi that Campus does not support.

The following bug fixes have been made for the Core Ed-Fi solution:

  • The gradingScore element was still processing and hitting the Event Queue when the Configuration had the Grades resource off when there was a 3.x and 2.x configuration. This has been updated for gradingScores to look at the configuration preferences for the year they are aligned to. If aligned to v3.1 and Grades is turned off, the events will not enter the Event Queue. If aligned to version 2.x, the scores will enter the Event Queue but not send to the ODS.
  • The Resync checkboxes were occasionally being grayed out after a resync was completed. This issue has been resolved.
  • The Resync Indicator on the Event Queue has been updated to ‘Released’ once a resync is completed.
  • Triggers were previously not getting updated when configurations were edited in a site with DCT enabled. This issue has been resolved.
  • Ed-Fi tool rights will now be hidden when the Ed-Fi Preference is set to OFF.
  • A session override will not be created from a course until at least one section placement exists.

The CALPADS Staff Assignment Extract has been modified for the following:

  • The extract only reports each Non-Classroom Support Codes (field 15) one time when the school had multiple calendars.
  • Field 14, Staff Job Classification FTE Percentage, now converts data entered as a single digit in Campus Human Resources into the correct extract format of a percentage. Previously, districts using Campus Human Resources would need to manually modify this value.

The CALPADS Course Section Extract has been modified for the following:

  • Online Course Instruction Type (field 33) reports first from the Section level, then from the Course level when Distance Learning (field 24) reports as N or blank.
  • Charter Non-Core, Non-College Prep (field 31) reports a Y when the field is marked at the Section level.
  • Content Standards Alignment Code (field 30) reports first from the Section level, then from the Course level when Grade Level Range (field 29) is not NOT.
  • Local Assignment Option Code (field 35) reports the value from the Section level.
  • Course Instructional Code (field 19) now reports the new Academic Level 2 Codes previously added.

A ‘Report Legal Identities when provided’ checkbox has been added to the Resource Preferences of the Students and Student Education Organization Association resources to give users the ability to Legal Identities in Ed-Fi.

The logic for the Students and Student Education Organization Association resources has also been updated to report the Legal Identities values when populated in a student’s record.

If you have previously submitted student information in the MARSS-B report with the "Report Legal Identities when Provided" checkbox on the MARSS editor, and you have mismatch notes on the Comparison report, you'll need to select these new checkboxes in the Resource Preferences area, and then resync the applicable students in the Ed-Fi Resync tool for those two resource areas.

The logic for the transportingLocalEducationAgencyReference in the Student School Association resource has been updated to report the value saved in Transporting District. If the Transporting District is null, or no Transportation record exists, then it reports the Resident District number. If the Resident District number is null, then it reports a concatenation of the district type and district number values.

To update any Student School Association records that have already posted to MDE that did not report a default set of Transportation data, perform a resync on the Student School Association records for the calendar(s) you wish to update.

Nevada - HM01 Homeless Report Updates (SIS-134589)

The following updates were made to the HM01 Homeless Report.

  • The report description at the top of the editor was updated to include the default date range of 08/01 - 07/31.
  • The following report columns were removed: Enrolled, Served, and FRL.
  • The report logic was updated.
    • If a student has multiple enrollments within the selection, only the most recent enrollment reports based on the start date of the enrollment and the end date of the extract.
    • Students marked as Pre-K only report if they are within the ages of 3-5 based on the end date selected on the extract editor.
    • Logic for the following columns were updated: Age Grp, Level ID, Entity ID, Year ID, and Migrant.
  • A new column called "Ethnicity" was added.
  • The CIT and Homeless Served by Subgrants fields on the Enrollments tool were removed.

  • The resource preferences for the Student Language Instruction Program Association resource have been updated to include a mapping for EL Service Types. Only state owned service types will be available to map.
