Academic Programs

Academic Programs Course Display Fix (SIS-168802)

An issue where a dropped course displayed twice in the Progress and Course Plan tabs has been fixed to display only once.

Activity Registration

Activity Registration Maintenance (SIS-172905)

The following updates have been made to the Activity Registration tool:

  • Validation was added so users can no longer select deleted Product Types.
  • Resolved issue where optional forms with Parent fill/Student signature were unable to be accessed.

Assessment

Child Test User Interface Updated (SIS-172771) [Enhancement] 

The Child Test section under Test Detail in the Assessment Center has been updated to enhance user experience:

  • Side panel defaults as the screen focus when the 'Add Existing' button is clicked.
  • When the user navigates to the child test:
    • Right Arrow / Down Arrow keyboard keys can be used to navigate between child tests putting the focus on the next available item.
    • Left Arrow / Up Arrow keyboard keys can be used to navigate between child tests putting the focus on the previously available item.
  • When the Child Test name is selected:
    • Use the Enter key to move to the child page.
    • Use the Tab key to navigate to the Remove button on the screen and then select the Enter key to remove that child test.
    • Use the ESC key to reload the page and the focus defaults to the Name field.

Assessment Publishing Updated (SIS-172875)

Attempts at publishing assessments either took a significant amount of time or resulted in errors. This issue has been resolved. State Edition users can now publish assessments without errors or time delays.

Score Fields Section Updated (SIS-172898) [Enhancement] 

The Score Fields section under Test Detail in the Assessment Center has been updated to display in a dual list box to enhance user experience.

Student Assessment Proficiency Level Logic Updated (SIS-173211) [Enhancement] 

Logic for the 'Proficiency Level' field on the Student Assessment screen has been updated to display the proficiency value (if populated) related to the Result / Proficiency Statuses data tied to an assessment. The drop list is blank if proficiency levels were not set up for the assessment.

Assessment Center Copy Tool Right Update (SIS-173241)

The 'Copy' button did not display in the New Look of Campus version of the Assessment Center. This issue has been resolved. The 'Assessment Center Copy' sub-right is now included under the Assessment Center tool rights in the New Look of Campus. The 'Copy' button displays as expected when the applicable tool rights are assigned.

Hidden Score Fields Updated (SIS-173425)

With the release of Campus.2339, the following score fields under Test Detail in the Assessment Center defaulted to a hidden status:

  • Comment
  • Question Count
  • Result Level

This issue has been corrected and the fields display as expected.

Please note multiple score field options are available. They can be added or modified (designate as required, hide, change sequence, etc.) in the Attribute Dictionary.

Behavior

Behavior Management Fix (SIS-172803)

An issue where users were unable to delete Behavior Incidents from a Behavioral Referral until the admin notification was deleted first has been resolved.

Campus Instruction

Seating Charts with Multiple Sections (SIS-110636)

Previously, if a seating chart includes multiple sections and one of those sections is deactivated, the seating chart is no longer visible. This has been corrected.

Section Names in Teaching Center (SIS-145542)

Previously, if a section moved from one period to another and a new section was added to the original section's period, the Teaching Center still displayed the name for the original section instead of the new section. This has been corrected.

Personalized Score Comments (SIS-170925)

An option has been added to populate score comments with students' names when filling comments. To add student names to comments, click Score for an assignment, enter comment text in the Comments column header, click the smile icon the add {Name} into the comment, and click the fill icon to indicate which students should receive the comment. Once the comment is filled for students, each student's first name is added to the comment.

Pass/Fail Coloring in Guest Grade Book (SIS-171901)

Settings logic has been updated when accessing the Grade Book as a guest so that Pass/Fail Coloring options are now correctly applied.

Excluded Assignments in Reports (SIS-172742) [Enhancement] 

Report editors that have an assignment picker have been updated so that assignments in a category that is marked as Exclude from Calculation display with a red 'Excluded' pill icon after the assignment name, as with assignments that do not have 'Include in Grade Calculation' marked in Grading information.

Adding Sections to a New Assignment (SIS-172924)

Previously, the 'Save and Add Sections' button that displayed when creating an assignment was incorrectly hidden. This button has been restored.

Campus Learning

Images and PDFs in Curriculum (SIS-170948) [Enhancement] 

Assignments and Resources have been updated so that when an image or PDF is attached, the image displays in the body of the assignment, instead of requiring a user to download it to view it.

Campus Learning Usage - Grading Services Connections (SIS-171764)

The Campus Learning Usage tool has been updated to display the Grading Services column if a OneRoster connection exists, regardless of the version of OneRoster or OAuth.

Assignments in Curriculum Planner (SIS-172900)

Previously, an error occurred when opening assignments via the Curriculum Planner. This has been corrected.

Portal - Responsive Offering Full Class Addition (SIS-172721)

A full responsive offering section (maximum seat count has been reached) is no longer able to be selected on the Portal.

Graduation Progress information has been removed from the at-a-glance information for students on the home page of Campus Parent. On the individual student screen of Campus Student and Campus Parent, the label has been changed to a link to 'Check Status'.

Census (SIS-155947)

Paths displayed for hyperlinks located on the Summary tool in New Look have been updated to reflect New Look navigation.

Custom Tool Placement Editor Invalid Character Message Updated to Include All Invalid Characters (SIS-157529)

Within the Custom Tool Placement Editor, message users receive when entering an invalid character in the name of a new menu item or category has been updated to include a complete list of all characters considered invalid.

Custom Attribute Issue with District Information (SIS-167329)

An error message displayed when modifying the District History Record with a custom attribute. This has been corrected.

Breadcrumbs Not Working When Custom Tool is Placed in Multiple Locations (SIS-171643)

Users were getting an error when selecting the breadcrumbs for custom tools placed in multiple locations using the Custom Tool Placement Editor. This issue was corrected.

SSRS Report Configuration Enhancement (SIS-172867) [Enhancement] 

Modified the instruction text box to incorporate a WYSIWYG editor within the SSRS Report Configuration.

SSRS Report Configuration Maintenance (SIS-173340)

The following updates have been made to the SSRS Report Configuration tool:

  • Fixed default values for dates and context values.
  • Leading and trailing whitespace will be removed from execution and management URLs on save.
  • Created a debug mode for reports to find known issues or fields configured in ways that can cause issues.

Data Change Tracker

KYAttDailySummary Table Removed from Data Change Tracker (SIS-172915) [Enhancement] 

The dbo.KYAttDailySummary table has been removed from Data Change Tracker as it was consuming an enormous amount of unnecessary disk resources and because of other attendance tables are already being tracked, its removal does not negatively impact tracking of Kentucky attendance data.

SIF Authentication Object Update (SIS-172805)

The issue with sending the SIF Authentication object when a calendar scope was selected has been fixed

Syncing Daily Grad Score Data Breaking DIS (SIS-173049)

Syncing daily grad score data was overflowing the packNumber smallint on the table, causing negative numbers and thus breaking DIS syncing. This issue was corrected.

SIF Data Tool and Record Deleter Scrollbars Fix (SIS-173192)

The scrollbars in the SIF Data tool and SIF Record Deleter were previously not working properly. This issue has been corrected.

Early Warning

Early Warning Syncing of Yearly Records Does not Complete Properly (SIS-171171)

Early Warning DIS Syncing was suffering from performance issues when syncing the Yearly records that caused, in some cases, the sync event to be unable to complete successfully. The underlying cause of these performance issues has been corrected.

Refinement of DIS Objects for Early Warning State Syncing (SIS-173525) [Enhancement] 

To improve the performance and integrity of syncing Early Warning data to DIS, the following updates were made:

  • Yearly Scores now only sync the current scope year.
  • Monthly Scores sync all scores but the package size was changed to 400.
  • Daily Scores logic was updated to only store the most recent Daily Score.

Ed-Fi - Official Attendance Period Update for Sections and Class Periods Resources (SIS-160852) [Enhancement] 

The Official Attendance Period element has been added for reporting in the Sections and Class Periods resources for Core Ed-Fi.

Ed-Fi ID Field (SIS-173176)

The Ed-Fi ID field was previously not displaying for states not using the Ed-Fi Locator tool. This issue has been corrected.

Events and Actions

Events and Actions Logging Fix (SIS-172986) [Enhancement] 

The CampusEventLog table, which stores log information from debug logging of events in Events and Actions, now has a data retention policy to prevent unrestricted growth of the table:

  • Every night, debug logging is disabled on all events in Events and Actions.
  • The maximum duration log messages will be stored is now seven days.

Existing log messages will be deleted when this update is taken.

FRAM

Meal Benefits Print Report Fix (SIS-172017)

After a parent or guardian had completed the Meal Benefits application on the Portal, the Print Letter from their Inbox message displayed a blank screen on the Mobile app. This has been corrected.

FRAM Eligibility Calendar Rights Fix (SIS-173051)

When users have calendar rights assigned to them through a user group, they would receive an "Unable to load calendar rights" error when they open the Eligibility tool. This has been corrected.

FRAM Eligibility Fix (SIS-173485)

If a student had an Eligibility with a direct type code that doesn't match a code in the Campus dictionary, the Eligibility page would not load. This has been corrected.

Importing Standards - CFIItemType (SIS-171051)

The process for importing standards has been updated to account for either type of method for providing information about the CFItemType, CFItemType or CFItemTypeURI, as defined by the CASE specification.

Sort Order in Grading by Task and Grading by Student (SIS-153468) [Enhancement] 

The Grading by Task and Grading by Student tools have been updated to sort standards by the same logic as the Standards Bank.

Too Many Connections to RabbitMQ Causing Site Slowness (SIS-173249) [Enhancement] 

Users were experiencing declining system performance due to an overwhelming number of connections to the RabbitMQ server. Backend updates were made to resolve this issue.

Templates available for selection in the Insights Dashboard failed to filter based on the report selected. This issue was corrected.

Special Ed Documents Responsive Buttons Enhancement (SIS-166990)

When users decrease the size of the screen while working in a Special Ed Document, certain buttons now display as an option within a new split button, Actions. This update is applicable to those Special Ed Documents rewritten in the New Look of Campus.

Special Ed Document Editor Release Logic (SIS-172603)

Logic for when one user releases an editor and makes it available to be edited by another user has been updated. An editor is released when the user:

If the Person Information card is for a student, each of the student’s guardians will display this information with the addition of their Relationship to the student.

A new 'Incident ID' column has been added to the Special Ed Disciplinary Removal Report. The new column reports data from the 'Incident ID' indicated on the Incident Detail Information section of a behavior record.

Nevada-Special Ed Setting Reporting Updates (SIS-172997)

Students with new 2023-2024 IEP records were not reporting as expected. The new NV IEP format does not have a 'Special Ed Setting' field in the Enrollment editor. This was previously used to pull data into the Special Ed Count Day and Special Ed Exit reports. This issue has been corrected. Both reports now populate the 'Special Ed Setting' field from the 'Federal Placement Code' field designated under the Placement section of new IEPs.

New Jersey-CTE User Interface Updated (SIS-172852)

Users had to scroll horizontally on the CTE page to view data following the recent addition of lengthy names in the Post Secondary Institution drop list. The fields on the CTE screen have been rearranged to allow for a full view of the page.

Tennessee - EIS 23-24 Updates (SIS-172629)

Updates have been made for the following EIS Extracts:

EIS Extract 44: Starting in the 2023-2024 school year, the new code is ID619 that will be used for children ages 3-5 (not kindergarten) that are being served in an IDEA 619 preschool classroom. These are students with disabilities. They can be in classroom with other students who are funded by VPK or head start.

EIS Extract 46: Zero tolerance for Disciplinary Reason code Updates:

  • Disciplinary Reason Code 26: Vandalism/ Damage of Property - The taking of, or attempting to take, anything of value that is owned by another person or organization under confrontational circumstances by force or threat of force or violence and/or by putting the victim in fear. A key difference between robbery and theft is that the threat of physical harm or actual physical harm is involved in a robbery.
  • Disciplinary Reason Code 27: Bomb Threat - Willful destruction or defacement of school or personal property.
  • Disciplinary Reason Code Code 28: Other type of Threat- School Threat (Threat of Destruction or Harm) Any threat (verbal, written, or electronic) by a person to use other substances or devices for the purpose of exploding, burning, causing damage to a school building or school property, or to harm students or staff.

EIS Extract 49: Retire the Y and Z absence codes starting 2023-2024 school year.

Virginia Responsible Division-School Values Added (SIS-173237)

Wisconsin

Wisconsin Special Ed Team Member Caseload Role Added and Evaluation Updates (SIS-169241) [Enhancement] 

A new Caseload Role, Eval Case Manager, has been added as an option on the Special Ed Team Members tool. This option differentiates those staff who only manage Special Ed Evaluations. Students now display in the staff member's Caseload to reflect this additional role.

With this update, the Wisconsin Referral, Existing Data Review, and Eligibility Report have been updated to pull in the Eval Case Manager information on the Student Information editors.

The Eval Case Manager role has also been added as an option and now reports on the Caseload Summary and Process Compliance reports.

Two new Ad hoc fields, evaluation.evalManagerPersonID and evaluation.evalManagerName, have been added.

Wisconsin - Ed-Fi Immunization Import Tool Update (SIS-172153)

An error that was occurring on the Import tool that was preventing districts from importing immunization data has been corrected.

Wisconsin Special Ed Documents Updates (SIS-172730)

Several updates have been made to the Wisconsin Special Ed Documents. Updates to the IEP and ISP include:

  • explanatory verbiage on the Special Factors editor now displays regardless of selection on the ""Is the student an English Learner (EL)?"" question.

Updates to the Existing Data Review include:

  • the Existing Data Review editor cannot be placed in a Not Needed status. The ""Information from referral for special education/notice of reevaluation was reviewed"" field is now required in order to Complete the editor. When the Additional Data Needed field is marked as Yes, the questions labeled II and III are requires in order to Complete the editor.
  • the Team Participants editor cannot be placed in a Not Needed status.

An issue where historical case managers were pulling in to all Special Ed Documents has been fixed.

Wyoming - SIF Student Attendance Summary Update (SIS-170195)

The EndDate element in the StudentAttendanceSummary object has been updated to report the last instructional day in the calendar when the End Date is null and to report the enrollment End Date value when the enrollment End Date is not null.

The EndDay element in the StudentAttendanceSummary object has also been updated to report the day number of the last instructional day in the calendar when the End Date is null and to report the instructional day number of the enrollment End Date when the enrollment End Date is not null.

Wyoming - Student Lunch Update for WDE-684 Extract and SIF StudentSchoolEnrollment Object (SIS-172404)

The logic in the StudentLunch element in the StudentSchoolEnrollment Object has also been updated to report the ‘E - Directly Certified Reduced Price Lunch Eligible’ code.
