Tool Search: Portal Gender Identity
The Portal Gender Identity preference tool allows districts to indicate whether the Demographics tool in Campus Student and Campus Parent should Display Gender and Display Pronoun. These settings apply to all schools in the district.
The Portal Gender Identity tool determines whether Gender and Pronoun display on portal tools. See the Portal Gender Identity Tool Rights article for information on available tool rights.
The Display Gender and Display Pronoun preferences apply to the Demographics tool in Campus Student and Campus Parent. If the Demographics tool is not enabled in Portal Display Options, these options have no effect.
Both options are disabled by default, unless the district has Self Service Options > Activate Demographics > Display Student Demographics enabled.
Note: display of Gender and Pronoun fields also depend on whether the fields are enabled in the Core Attribute/Dictionary. Pronoun options are managed via the Pronoun Setup tool.
