Tool Search: OR CTE Collection
The CTE Student File reports all students at each CTE site who may or may not participate in a CTE program. It is assumed that ALL students have at least one CTE record.
CTE participants can report a maximum of four Student Leadership Organization memberships, a maximum of four CTE Work-Based Learning records, and a maximum of two CTE Industry Recognized Credential records between July 1 and June 30 of the selected school year.
The CTE Course File uses the student information submitted from the same year in the CTE Student File to verify each record. Therefore, the CTE Course File cannot be completed until after the submission of the Student File.

Report Logic
The information collected in the CTE Student collection is required to calculate the information submitted for the Carl D. Perkins Act. It is submitted in a report called the Consolidated Annual Report (CAR).
Data reports from the following records associated with the student:
- Student Leadership Organization memberships are entered on the Programs tool.
- Work Based Learning is entered on the Career and Technical Education record.
- Industry Recognized Credentials (IRC) are entered as an Academic Program.
Every student is included in this report, regardless of their participation in CTE programming.
A student reports when:
- They are assigned a Student State Identifier (ID).
- They are actively enrolled in at least one selected calendar during the selected reporting year.
- They are enrolled in a grade level mapped to a state grade level code of 09-12.
A student does NOT report when:
- The Calendar of Enrollment is marked as State Exclude.
- The Enrollment record is marked as State Exclude or No Show.
- The Grade Level of Enrollment is marked as State Exclude.

| Exclude Cross-Site Data | When marked, the report does not include staff information for Cross-Site Enrollment courses. Cross-Site Enrollment is a new tool coming soon. Watch the Cross-Site Enrollment video for more information. |
| Ad hoc Filter | Select which students to include in the extract by choosing a filter that was created in the Filter Designer. Only those students included in the filter are included in the report. |

| Report Processing | Select Generate Now to generate the report immediately. Select Submit to Batch to choose when the report generates. Submit to Batch is useful when generating the report for several calendars or for larger amounts of data being reported. See the Batch Queue article for more information. |

Generate the Report
- Search for and select the desired Calendars.
- Select CTE Student from the Report Type field.
- Enter the correct Start Date and End Date.
- Choose an Ad hoc Filter to return just the course and staff information included in the selected filter.
- Select the desired Report Processing option of Generate Now or Submit to Batch Queue.
- Select the desired Format Type.
- Click Generate. The report displays in the selected format.
