This release includes upgrades to printed reports as part of our ongoing FOP project. Rather than listing updated reports for individual cases, a list of all updated reports can be found in the PDF and DOCX Report Updates article. 

Release notes allow relevant personnel to review enhancements, modifications, and regulated changes prior to accepting an update. It is advised that users review the release notes carefully and alert appropriate district staff to changes in Campus. 

The Release Information article lists the approximate release date of all Campus releases.

Academic Planning

Add a Tool for Managing State Credit Types to State Edition Academic and Graduation Programs (SIS-188331) [Enhancement] 

An enhancement has been made that allows State Credit Types to be created at the state level and then mapped by districts to local Credit Types in Credit Group Setup. This allows the management of state credit types in state-managed Academic and Graduation Programs.

An issue was resolved where credits were being counted twice in the Progress View of Academic Planning.

GPA Calculation Display Issue on Progress Tab (SIS-196690)

An issue with a caching mechanism was causing GPA Calculation on students' Progress tabs to display inconsistently across different application servers. This issue has been resolved.

A Course Requests issue that was related to State Grade Codes and State Grade Names not matching has been resolved.

Activity Registration

Activity Registration & School Store Maintenance (SIS-196593)

The following updates have been made to the Activity Registration and School Store tools:

  • Fixed an issue when creating a new activity where Step 4 Categories displayed schools that were not selected in Step 1.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the View In Progress side panel to load indefinitely.
  • Improved accessibility by adding Required labels to applicable fields in School Store.

School Number Matching Issue in Assessment Imports (SIS-194882)

The issue preventing the correct matching of school numbers during assessment imports in State Editions has been resolved.

Campus Instruction

Editing Assignment Error (SIS-194497)

Previously, some users received an error when attempting to save changes to an assignment, including changing the End Date, hiding the assignment, or moving it to a folder. This has been corrected.

Grade Book Performance (SIS-195641)

Previously, some users experienced poor performance if the Grade Book was set to display 100 assignments per page. This issue has been corrected.

Instruction - Accessibility Improvements (SIS-195744) [Enhancement] 

Various accessibility improvements have been made to Instruction tools, including keyboard navigation and focus, and screen reader support.

Category Copier Redesign (SIS-196482) [Enhancement] 

The Category Copier tool in the Grade Book has been updated to improve the visual design and accessibility of the tool. Functionality of this tool has not changed.

Multi-Score Keyboard Navigation (SIS-196651)

Previously, users had to click Enter twice to navigate to the next student in the Multi-Score screen, when Rapid Scoring was turned off. This has been corrected.

Portal Translations (SIS-196444)

Some translations for newer tools have been restored after being inadvertently removed in a recent case.

Photo Import Error for Certain ZIP Files (SIS-193758)

An issue where the Photo Import tool would error when processing certain ZIP files has been resolved, and error messaging has been enhanced.

Classroom Integrations

LTI 1.3 Configuration (SIS-196188) [Enhancement] 

The process for configuring LTI 1.3 connections has been updated to allow the following fields to be prepopulated if values exist in the Campus internal digital learning vendor system: LTI 1.3 Public Keyset URL, LTI 1.3 Login Initiation URL, LTI 1.3 Target Link URI.

Cross-Site Enrollment

Cross-Site Enrollment - Batch Edit Attendance Data (SIS-193301)

When the home school used the Batch Edit mode on the Attendance Entry Wizard to enter attendance data for multiple days, the serving school did not receive that attendance data for any day after a day without a Cross-Site Enrollment course. This has been corrected.

Cross-Site Enrollment - Home School Attendance Calculation (SIS-193448)

Previously, when attendance was transferred from the serving school to the home school, or vice versa, present minutes were always set to 0, regardless of the student’s actual attendance. Additionally, attendance present minutes could not be edited at the home school once transferred.

Now, logic has been updated to accurately transfer present minutes based on the value recorded at the school taking attendance, regardless of the number of mapped periods involved. Home school staff can now edit the present minutes when necessary, providing greater flexibility and more accurate attendance reporting.

To help administrators understand how transferred present minutes align with period times, the following improvements were made to the Student Attendance tool:

  • Each period now displays its start time, end time, and duration. 
  • A lunch indicator has been added to any period that includes lunch time.

Cross-Site Enrollment - Section Checkbox Restriction (SIS-196146)

Users can no longer remove the Cross-Site Enrollment checkbox in serving school sections when roster records exist in linked home school sections. This prevents issues with grade synchronization and maintains proper linkage between serving and home school sections

Core and Custom Attribute Dictionary UI Update and Search Addition (SIS-194498) [Enhancement] 

The UI of the Core Attribute Dictionary and Custom Attribute Dictionary tools was updated to current modern UI standards, improving usability and accessibility.

Also, a search field has been added to both tools, allowing users to quickly find a specific attribute.

Custom District and Custom Tool Sync Fix (SIS-194559)

A data mismatch issue between the District Edition and State Edition records was resolved.

Report Instructions Field Not Displaying in SSRS Report Configuration (SIS-196561)

The Report Instructions field was not populating in the SSRS Report Configuration tool, even if there were instructions saved. This issue was corrected.

Data Change Tracker

Data Change Tracker Update (SIS-183697)

An issue causing the Data Change Tracker Record Output Limit filter to incorrectly limit the search scope instead of output results has been corrected. All relevant rows are now searched and the output is limited to the specified number of results.

Data Validations Update (SIS-192282)

An issue causing an error when previewing a system baseline rule has been corrected. A column header has been added for Campus-created baseline rules so that results generate without error when using the Preview button.

An issue causing an error when users were viewing non-current schedules in Student Records has been corrected. This has been resolved for both past and future schedules.

Add Document Upload Capability to Title Funded Programs (SIS-195663) [Enhancement] 

An enhancement has been made to allow districts using Digital Repository to enable the uploading of documents for specific Title Funded Program Types:

  • Title VI

Once uploading documents for Title Funded programs is enabled, documents can be uploaded in the Person Documents tool and aligned to the appropriate program by selecting it from the Campus Tool droplist. This can be accessed through the Person Documents tool or by a new link in the Title Funded Programs tool.

Scheduling

Scheduling Board - Load Alternate Course Requests (SIS-174362) [Enhancement] 

Alternate Course Requests can now be loaded using the Scheduling Board. In the Load Settings Panel, a new Maximum Number of Alternate Sections option has been added. The numeric value entered here indicates the number of alternate courses a student can be scheduled into. Once this value is entered:

  • Run Load Alternates to add alternate requests to all course sections.
  • Right-click on a Department, Course, Section, or Term to add alternate requests by those options.

On the Walk-In Scheduler, alternate course requests are prioritized. On the Scheduling Board, those requests are attempted to be loaded in the order they are numbered (prioritized) on the Walk-In Scheduler, and will take into account the value in the Maximum Number of Alternate Sections.

Student Gap Scheduler - Find Students Function (SIS-179827)

When using the Student Gap Scheduler, selecting a student from the student search did not navigate to the Walk-In Scheduler as expected. Navigation logic has been updated to automatically redirect to the Walk-In Scheduler when a student is selected from the search results.

  • When there are multiple students with a schedule gap, the search panel returns a list of students in the search results. Selecting a student from that list opens the Walk-In Scheduler tool.
  • When there is only one student with a schedule gap, the Walk-In Scheduler opens immediately.

Section Information - Max Student Field (SIS-194262)

Removing the value from the Max Student field on the Section Information editor and saving caused the Save banner to display, but the field was populated when navigating away and returning. This has been corrected.

The value entered in the Max Student field at the Section level overrides the value entered in the Max Student field at the Course level. The Max Student field must be a positive whole number, a zero (0), or a null value.

Updated Validation Messages when Deleting Sections (SIS-195699)

Instead of a generic "Delete Failed" error that displayed when users attempted to delete a course section with assignments linked to it or that was included in the grading window, a more informative message explains why the deletion cannot proceed and instructs the user to remove the assignment or the grading window exception first.

Course Management - Updates to Course Masters and Start Year, End Year (SIS-195792)

Start Year, End Year Changes

The Start Year and End Year fields on the Course Management tool have been relabeled to School Start Year and School End Year. The options in these fields list the school year as entered in the Label field on the School Year Setup tool. When a School Start Year of 25-26 is selected, the state code record is active on the date entered in the Start Date field of the School Year Detail. When a School End Year of 25-26 is selected, the state code record is active through the End Date entered in the End Date School Year Detail.

Course Masters Updates

Course Masters that use invalid state codes are now considered inactive when the active school year changes from the current school year to the next school year at the district level on the School Year Setup tool. After the active year changes, Course Masters that use an invalid state code will display the inactive state code with the text (invalid) in the state code field. These codes need to be manually changed at the district to use the updated state code provided by the state.

When Course Master still has an invalid state code that is pushed to Courses, a validation error displays, indicating it cannot be pushed to courses because of the invalid state code.

When invalid state codes are linked to Course Masters in future calendars after the active year changes, the State Code field displays the invalid State Code with the text (invalid). These codes need to be manually changed at the district to use the updated state code provided by the state.

California - CALPADS LEA Programs Update to Automated Process (SIS-193575)

The process for automatically updating attendance hours for ELO students has been modified:

  • The stored procedure now looks at the Type field on Course Information or on Section Information. When the Type field is populated at the Section level, it acts as an override to the value populated at the Course level.

Additionally, logic has been added to support scenarios where a student enters and exits the same section multiple times within a single term.

Nevada-Enrollment Logic Updated on Non-Traditional Supplemental Attendance Report (SIS-195150)

The reporting logic has been updated on the Non-Traditional Supplemental Attendance Report:

  • ‘R2’ added as a traditional start status for Charter Schools
  • Public School enrollments (‘E1’ or ‘R2’) added as traditional enrollments
  • 'Regularly Enrolled School Number' and 'Regularly Enrolled School Name'  data elements updated for start statuses  ‘E4’, ‘E5’, and ‘E6’

The user interface description was also updated to reflect these changes as needed.

Nevada-ADE Audit and ADE Reports Updated (SIS-196121)

Nevada State Edition users received an error when trying to access the ADE Audit and ADE Reports. This issue has been resolved, and the reports are accessible as expected.

Additionally, the reporting logic for the ADE Reports was corrected to only identify all Enrollments of type “P” or “N” with an enrollment start date on or before the Extract Quarter End date.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire-iNHDEX- Home School Academic Reporting Students Incorrectly (SIS-189809)

The Home School Academic extract type did not accurately report students. The logic has been updated to resolve this issue:

    • Students who enroll and end on the same day are not included.
  • classStartDate
    • Reports the student's section roster Start Date when not NULL.
    • Otherwise, reports the earliest Term Start Date associated with the Section.
  • classEndDate
    • Reports the student's section roster End Date when not NULL.
    • Otherwise, reports the latest Term End Date associated with the Section.

A new "District Entity ID" field has been added to the School Detail section of the School Information tool in New Hampshire. This field allows for a district ID override, enabling the accommodation of multiple districts.

New Hampshire-iNHDEX- Calendar Extract Updates (SIS-195957)

The reporting population logic for the Calendar extract was updated to report a record for each school calendar in the district that has at least one day scheduled (except ‘Outside District’). All calendars designated as "Outside District" type are reported regardless of whether they have any days set up. The ‘oodStartDate’ and ‘oodEndDate' elements report the Start Date/End Date from Calendar Information when days have been set up.

The State Assessment Registration report did not generate consistently. This issue has been resolved, and the report generates across all test types without issue.

North Carolina - Title 6 and Tribal Affiliation Enhancements (SIS-193571) [Enhancement] 

Updates to Tribal Affiliation were made to store the data outside of the Title 6 Program for better student identity data alignment:

  • On the Demographics and Identities tools, a new Tribal Affiliation multi-select field has been added in place of the Tribal Enrollment field, which has been removed.
  • A read-only view of a student's Tribal Affiliation data has been added to the Title 6 Detail editor. This is in place of the previous Tribal Affiliation multi-select field within the Title 6 Detail editor, which has been removed.
  • Existing Demographic/Identity Tribal Enrollment values and Title 6 Tribal Affiliation values have been converted to the new Demographic/Identity Tribal Affiliation values.

  • For grades 12-13, Expected Graduation Year now displays as the last instructional day of the current school year.

Texas-Ed-Fi-Prior Year Leaver Student Parent Associations Not Reporting (SIS-196512)

The issue preventing the Prior Year Leaver Student Parent Associations resource from reporting records as expected has been resolved. The object triggering logic was updated to ensure that relationships between students and parents are successfully reported from the prior year.

A resync of the Prior Year Leaver Student Parent Associations resource is required for this update.

Texas-Asylee Refugee and Attribution Code Fields Updated (SIS-196594)

Despite being deactivated, the Asylee Refugee (Demographics) and Attribution Code (Enrollments) fields continued to display default values. To resolve this issue, default value and name locks have been applied.

Texas-End Status Generates TREx Extract Error (SIS-196996)

The TREx Extract generates an error when the End Status is ‘MV’. This issue has been resolved. Logic for the  ‘WithdrawReason’ data element has been updated to report ‘99’ if the End Status is ‘MV’.

Texas-TREx Extract Updates (SIS-197037)

The errors that occurred when users generated the Academic Achievement Record or the Student Withdrawal/Record Transfer Form extract types have been resolved. The extracts can be generated without issues as expected.

Vermont

Vermont State Score Codes and Ed-Fi Resource Update (SIS-194363)

The list of values available in the State Score dropdown was updated for Vermont. The logic for reporting scores on the Grades Ed-Fi resource was updated as follows:

  • When the mapped score derives from a Rubric (not codes 10-22), the value reports as the performanceBaseCoversionDescriptor.
  • When the mapped score is derived from a Score Group, the code description reports as the value in the letterGradeEarned data element.
  • Neither "letterGradeEarned" nor "performanceBaseCoversionDescriptor" reports when the other value is reported.
  • The code value instead of the description reports.
  • Code 99 was updated to report as "Numeric Mark Only" in the letterGradeEarned data element.

With this update, a resync is required for the Grades resource.

Vermont Ed-Fi Resources Updates (SIS-194462)

The reporting population on the Virginia Master Schedule Report was updated so that all unlicensed teachers who were active during the reporting period and who report on the D record also report on the E record. This change is to report teachers who were active at any time during the year, not just on the effective date selected on the report editor.

Virginia Course SCED Code Updates (SIS-194486)

The list of SCED Course Codes was updated for the 25-26 school year:

  • Updated descriptions for several existing SCED codes.
  • Inactivated multiple SCED codes.
  • Modified extended descriptions for some active SCED codes.

Virginia Graduation and Academic Program Fields Added (SIS-194718) 

Two new fields that will report on the Student Record Collection were added for Virginia:

  • On the Academic Planning Programs tool, the new field is CTE Credit Accommodation. 

Both of these fields are also available in Ad hoc (graduation.associateDegreeType and spProgram.cteCreditAccommodationFlag).
