Tool Search: Digital Learning Applications Configuration
As a result of upcoming changes to the Campus OneRoster implementation, districts need to verify their OneRoster connections to ensure they continue to work. Connections that use the legacy Base URL must be updated to use the current Base URL. Verify connections by checking each OneRoster vendor to ensure they are using the correct Base URL in their OneRoster connection.
This article explains how to locate the correct Base URL for your OneRoster connections, which you must then verify with each of your vendors. See the OneRoster Legacy Configurations FAQ article for more information.
You will have one Base URL for your 1.1 connections and one for your 1.2 connections; Base URLs are not vendor-specific. Infinite Campus cannot determine whether a connection is using the current or legacy Base URL, so we recommend that districts check each of their connections to avoid interruption.
Support for legacy connections will end with the Campus.2651 release. Any connections using a legacy Base URL will stop working at that point.
Before you start
Each OneRoster vendor collects and stores data differently. It may save time to:
- Make a list of your current OneRoster connections with what version of OneRoster they use (1.1 or 1.2).
- Determine how each vendor collects information. For example, some vendors provide a portal for managing connections, whereas others rely on email communication.
Locate and verify your Base URL for 1.1 connections
The Base URL is unique to your district. All of your 1.1 OneRoster connections use the same Base URL. Base URLs are not vendor-specific.
- Go to the Digital Learning Applications Configuration tool.
- Click on the tile for any vendor that uses OneRoster 1.1.
- Click Edit next to a 1.1 OneRoster connection.
- Copy the Base URL for reference as you check each vendor that uses 1.1.
-
The current Base URL is found in the Information to Share section:
For comparison, the legacy Base URL is found in the collapsed Legacy Configuration section at the bottom:
This legacy Base URL should not be used in any connections.
The current Base URL follows this format: - https://myexampledistrict.org/campus/api/oneroster/v1p1/exampleDistrict/ims/oneroster/v1p1
- https://myexampledistrict.org/campus/oneroster/exampleDistrict/ims/oneroster/v1p1
- Verify that the correct Base URL is used by each of your vendor programs with 1.1 connections. If a vendor is using a different Base URL, replace it with the current value. How you verify the Base URL with each vendor may be different, such as via a portal or email.
- If a vendor is using the legacy Base URL found in the Legacy Configuration section at the bottom of the Edit screen, that connection will stop working at the end of 2026. Make sure to replace the legacy Base URL with the correct Base URL.
- If the Base URL used by the vendor matches the current one for that OneRoster version found in the Information to Share section, no further action is needed.
Locate and verify your Base URL for 1.2 connections
The Base URL is unique to your district. All of your 1.2 OneRoster connections use the same Base URL. Base URLs are not vendor-specific.
- Go to the Digital Learning Applications Configuration tool.
- Click on the tile for any vendor that uses OneRoster 1.2.
- Click Edit next to a 1.2 OneRoster connection.
- Copy the Base URL for reference as you check each vendor that uses 1.2.
