Homebound (Arizona) - Video

Arizona districts can use Campus to capture attendance information for homebound students. These videos demonstrate how to:

  • Set up a Homebound course and section for use in capturing attendance for homebound students
  • Manage enrollment data for homebound students
  • Enter a Homebound record with start and end dates matching the selected student's Homebound enrollment
  • Record absences that impact the amount of time reported for a homebound student

Course Setup

This video briefly discusses how to set up a Homebound course and section for use in capturing attendance for homebound students. Homebound courses utilize Positive Attendance and are placed in such a way as to accommodate applicable state requirements for reporting attendance time.

Enrollments

This video explains how to manage enrollment data for students who become homebound. Typically, homebound students are enrolled in the regular school calendar. A special homebound enrollment is used to capture homebound information, with start and end dates corresponding to the dates entered on a student's Homebound tab.

Attendance

This article describes how homebound attendance is captured for students in Campus. The Homebound course into which homebound students are placed uses Positive Attendance, but absences can be recorded that reduce the number of present minutes for a student if appropriate.
