Tool Search: SIF Error Log
The SIF Error Log displays errors for records that failed due to a Campus Error or a SIF error. Users can use this log to help identify potential errors in data setup or bugs in the SIF code.
SIF Unity tools are only available for SIF v3.X or higher.

Read - View the Error Log.
Write - Archive or retry Error Log entries.
Add - Provides no function for this tool.
Delete - Provides no function for this tool.

Prerequisites
- In order to properly use SIF Unity tools, proper values must be established within the SIF Configuration tool. This ensures Campus is successfully sending data.
- All data setup must be completed for the data to be sent.
Filter Error Log Entries
The Filter option in the SIF Unity Error Log allows users to filter errors by Configuration and/or Object. Only errors matching the filter criteria will display.

Review Details of Error Log Entries
The Error Log lists specific details about each error, including:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Error ID | Displays the Error ID for the record. |
Timestamp | Displays the Date and Time the error occurred. |
Configuration | Displays the Configuration with which the error is associated. |
SIF Object | The object on which the error occurred. |
Error Message | Displays the error message that was generated when the record failed. The error message can be expanded for more detailed information. |
Action Type | Displays the action of the record: Insert (I), Update (U), or Delete (D). |
SIF Response History ID | Displays the Message GUID. |
Archive Entries
Users can also archive Error Log entries by selecting an error(s) and archiving it. Once an error is archived, it will no longer appear in the Error Log.
Export the Error Log
The Export to CSV option allows users to generate a report in CSV format listing all errors that occurred.
