Activity Registration

Activity Registration Maintenance (SIS-151125)

The following improvements were made to Activity Registration.

  • The filter fields on the Activity Monitor and Activity Dashboard were not displaying when users clicked New then clicked Cancel. This issue was corrected.
  • The Registration Close Date may now be on (or after) the Registration Open Date to allow for single-day registrations.
  • To help limit the number of activities that display and improve usability, a new checkbox called Prior Year Only was added at the end of the filters for the following screens. When the checkbox is marked, only activities from the prior calendar year display.

Assessment

Test Detail Error (SIS-152014)

Campus Instruction

Posting Grades for Unrostered Students (SIS-151772) [Enhancement] 

The warning icon that displays on the Post Grade popup in the Grade Book if a student is not rostered into the section has been changed from gray to yellow.

Assignments Outside of Roster Dates - Follow-Up (SIS-151864)

The indicator in the Grade Book released with SIS-151249 that shows if a student was not rostered in a section on the due date of an assignment has been updated. If the student has a score for an assignment they were not rostered for, a gray square displays in the bottom left corner of the score cell, instead of a yellow triangle, which was difficult to see when pass/fail color coding was turned on.

Campus Learning

Learning Interoperability/Digital Learning Applications Configuration Update (SIS-148426) [Enhancement] 

The Learning Interoperability/Digital Learning Applications Configuration tool has been updated so that when generating a new OneRoster connection, users have the option of selecting which version of OneRoster and OAuth the connection should have.

With this change, users can select OAuth 2.0 for OneRoster 1.1 connections, whereas previously, OAuth 2.0 was only available for OneRoster 1.2. Districts should be in contact with vendors to verify which version of OneRoster and OAuth they support prior to making new connections.

In the configuration tool, OneRoster connections now display grouped together, with the OneRoster and OAuth versions noted. Click 'Edit' to view details about the connection, including URLs, keys, and secrets.

Campus Learning - Quiz Updates (SIS-151284) [Enhancement] 

Updates have been made to quizzes in Instruction, including available library sharing and searching, and enhanced feedback options.

When creating a quiz, teachers now have the option of sharing it to a quiz library, which makes the quiz available to other teachers in the district. Note: to share quizzes, teachers must be given the new 'Curriculum Library District Share' tool right.

When adding a quiz to a section, teachers can start from scratch, search for complete quizzes in the library, or search for individual questions to add to their own quizzes. When a teachers uses a quiz or quiz question from the library, a copy is created, leaving the original in the library intact and allowing the teacher to modify their copy as desired.

This update also includes enhanced feedback options. Teachers now have the option of whether answers and feedback are displayed to students when they finish the quiz or not, which helps keep answers secret. Teachers can edit this feedback setting after the quiz has been taken. For example, if multiple sections are taking a quiz, teachers can wait to release answers at the end of the day. While quizzes are still scored automatically, teachers also have a new option of providing question-level feedback to students by clicking 'Evaluate Work' for the assignment in the Grade Book or opening the assignment and clicking 'Score.' This feedback is also governed by the assignment-level feedback setting.

Fees Assigned to Parents (SIS-151832)

Previously, parents were unable to see fees assigned to themselves in Campus Parent. This has been corrected.

Census

Census– Protected Identity Fields Not Rolling Forward With New Identity Record (SIS-121243)

A tool right issue prevented existing Protected Identity Information field values from rolling forward with a new identity record if the user who created the new record did not minimally have Read rights to Legal Name & Gender (Tool Rights: Census > People > Identities > Legal Name & Gender). This has been fixed.

Users do not need tool rights to the Protected Identity Information section in the Identities tab to create a new identity record. Protected fields continue to only be accessible when a user minimally has Read rights to Census > People > Identities > Legal Name & Gender.

Counseling

NEW Centralized Contact Log (SIS-148293) [Enhancement] 

A new Contact Log tool has been added to Student Information General, to act as a centralized hub for all other Contact Log records available in the product. All Contact Log tools have been given a new interface that allows for easier entry of contact log records.

When assigned proper tool rights, users can view and create Contact Log records from this new location, or any of the other Contact Log tools. These new rights have been automatically assigned upon taking this release; administrators will need to modify these rights to limit access. Users who were assigned tool rights to Contact Log prior to this release have been assigned the same rights.

*Note that Tool Rights have changed for all Contact Logs to require an Access right to Contact Log in addition to requiring standard RWAD tool rights. See the article below for guidance.*

Contact Log records created in Meetings Management and Attendance Letters can also be viewed from this centralized location.

Data Validations Update (SIS-151487) [Enhancement] 

The Data Validations batch queue job has been enhanced to be more performant.

DIS/SIF

SIF Record Deleter Tool Now Available (SIS-148717) [Enhancement] 

A new SIF Record Deleter tool is now available for select states. This tool allows users to delete specific SIF records in an effort to assist in cleaning up troublesome SIF data such as orphaned records or records that were supposed to be excluded but were erroneously sent.

Note: This tool should not be used to mass delete SIF records. The deletion process is intensive and takes time to complete which will cause issues if a mass deletion is executed and SIF change events are occurring while the tool is still processing the request. This tool should not be used to remove students who should no longer report SIF data. These students should be properly end dated or deleted from Infinite Campus.

Early Warning

Early Warning Tool Now Available in State Editions of Infinite Campus (SIS-147717) [Enhancement] 

A new Early Warning tool has been added to State Editions of Infinite Campus who have purchased the Campus Analytics Suite. Using this tool, users can now access, view, and filter student Early Warning scores by district, school (or All Schools), and/or grade level(s). Student Early Warning score data is then displayed in a sortable table, where users can add specific students to their watchlist as well as export table data into an Excel spreadsheet.

Note: This functionality is only available for customers who have purchased the Campus Analytics Suite.

FRAM

FRAM Updates (SIS-127232) [Enhancement] 

The following updates were made for the FRAM tool.

  • Column headers on the Household Application were updated to display correctly and consistently across different browsers.
  • The Income in Household box under Household Applications was not displaying in the proper position. This issue was corrected
  • When using the pre-built letters for FRAM verification, the state code was not generating in the mailing address at the end of the letter. This issue was corrected.

User Account Messenger/Scheduler URL Expiration Extended (SIS-150335) [Enhancement] 

The unique URL generated within Recurring User Account Messages will now automatically expire 5 days after the message is delivered. Previously, the URL expired 2 days after the message was delivered. This change gives parents and students more time to click on the URL.

OneRoster - Enrollment Status Update (SIS-152033)

Logic for the Status attribute in the Enrollment endpoint was updated in the release of Campus.2148.2 to return a status of 'active' for most student records. This change has been reverted.

Online Payments

Improved Error Message for My Cart (SIS-138051)

An error displayed when people added more than 44 fees or items to their cart. This issue was corrected and users can now enter as many as 1,000 fees or items without receiving an error message.

Updates for Scheduling Refunds (SIS-149763) [Enhancement] 

Refunds for echecks are now processed 12 days after the transaction's Payment Date. This change ensures funds have cleared before the refund is processed.

All refunds that are requested between 5:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time will not process until 12:00 a.m. the following day (with the exception of echecks which cannot be refunded until 12 days after the transaction's Payment Date). For example, a refund requested at 5:45 p.m. on September 1st will be processed at 12:00 a.m. on September 2nd.

Refunds for Deleted Product Items (SIS-150358)

Transcripts

Transcripts - Updates to Address Loading Performance (SIS-146203)

To address performance issues with the Transcript when editing records, only the two most recent groups of transcript records are displayed. The groups may be from different school years or different schools for the same school year. A note that "Additional records are hidden" displays at the end of the two groups.

To display all of the records, mark the Show All Records button on the action bar at the bottom of the tool. When all of the records are displayed, a note of "End of Records" displays at the end of the list.

All transcript records display on the initial (read only) view.

Logic for the SIF StudentPersonal/EconomicDisadvantaged element has been updated to include the following:

  • Report Yes when a student’s FRAM Eligibility record with the latest Start Date that is <= the current date has:
    • Eligibility Type = SES
    • Start Date <= current date
    • End Date >= current date
    • Eligibility does not = PAID
    • Certified Type = Any selection

Oklahoma - Statistical Summary Report Update (SIS-146925) [Enhancement] 

A new 'Display Converted Grades' checkbox has been added to the Statistical Summary Extract. If marked, an extra pages generated with the report that displays students in their converted grade level based on their age as of September 1.

Pennsylvania IEP Updates (SIS-149301)

Several updates have been made to the Pennsylvania IEP, including:

  • Template Banks have been added to all text areas on the Communication Plan and Behavior Support Plan editors.
  • the "Not Needed option on the ESY editor has been disabled.
  • the character limit on the WYSIWYG field on the PLAAFP editor has been increased.
  • logic on the Gifted Supports editor has been updated to look at disabilities 2-5.
  • logic on the Enrollment editor has been updated to pull the disability information first from the most recent locked Evaluation, then from the Enrollment information. Disability 6-10 have been removed.

Pennsylvania Report Updates (SIS-151065)

Report logic has been updates on the PIMS Student Snapshot Template:

For District Entry Date, the report first looks at the student's current or most recent enrollment within report generation dates. If a District Start Date is populated, that date reports. If null, then the reports looks at the most recent Enrollment in all the student's enrollment history in any school where Enrollment Local End Status with State End Status Code Mapping is one of the following codes = WD01, WD02, WD03, WD04, WD09 (System Administration > Enrollment > End Status Type) and report the next Enrollment Start Date that is after the enrollment with those end status(es). If that is null, the earliest Enrollment Start Date in any school reports.

For School Entry Date, the report first looks at the student's current or most recent enrollment within report generation dates. If a School Start Date is populated, that date reports. If null, then the reports looks at the most recent Enrollment within the same school where Enrollment Local End Status with State End Status Code Mapping is one of the following codes = WD01, WD02, WD03, WD04, WD09 (System Administration > Enrollment > End Status) and report the next Enrollment Start Date that is after the enrollment with those end status(es). If that is null, the earliest Enrollment Start Date within the reporting school reports. If no previous Enrollment in the school exists, the most recent Enrollment in that school's Enrollment Start Date Reports.

The Special Education Student Template header for December and July file has been updated to AUN_STUDENT_datetime.csv.

The Act 16 Funding dictionary list (Enrollments > Special Ed Fields > Act 16 Funding) descriptions have been updated to the following:

Pennsylvania Special Ed Reports Fixes (SIS-152017)

Several small fixes have been released for the Pennsylvania Special Ed reports, including:

  • an issue with the December reporting period on the Student Template has been fixed.
  • an issue with students reporting on the Special Education Template for the December reporting period when they did not have a locked IEP has been resolved.
  • logic for reporting the Amount of Special Education Services and Type of Support fields has been updated.

South Dakota Special Ed Updates (SIS-148896)

Several updates have been made to the South Dakota Special Ed Area. The following print formats have been archived:

  • Several fields on the Least Restrictive Environment editor have been renamed: Industrial Tech to Career and Technical Ed, Vocational Ed to Early Childhood Program, and Family and Consumer Sciences to Physical Education.
  • An additional bullet point has been added to the Present Levels editor, Remember to include Parent Input.

The Special Ed Setting field on the Enrollment tool has been updated with additional codes: 0310: Regular Early Childhood Program - 10 hrs+/week & SPED Services in Reg EC program, 0315: Regular Early Childhood Program - 10 hrs.+/week & SPED Services in other location, 0325: Regular Early Childhood Program-Less than 10hrs/wk & SPED Services in Reg EC program, and 0330: Regular Early Childhood Program-Less than 10hrs/wk & SPED Services in other location.

All blank forms have been removed.

The following Custom Forms have been added: Consent for Outside Agency, Parental Prior Consent to Evaluation, and Meeting Notice.

Tennessee

Tennessee - EIS 045 Transportation Update+ (SIS-151232)

The following fields in the EIS 045 extract have been updated. In the Transportation record, if In Bus is populated, the AM Bus Begin Date field reports the Start Date of the record, unless the date is prior to the Enrollment Start Date. In that case, the Enrollment Start Date reports. The same logic applies to the PM Bus Begin Date, which reports based on the Out Bus field on the Transportation record.
