Student Information– Activity Eligibility Report Update (SIS-58697)

If a student was scheduled into multiple sections of the same course during the same term, the Activity Eligibility Report only pulled grades from one of the course sections instead of both. This has been fixed.

Activity Registration

Activity Registration Maintenance (SIS-148638)

The following improvements were made to the Activity Roll Forward tool.

  • The error message that displays for the user when they attempt to delete a custom form associated with an activity was improved.
  • The Inventory Limit now rolls forward from the original activity. Previously, the limit was reduced by the number that was purchased on the original activity. This issue was corrected.
  • A new checkbox called Fill All was added to the second step of the roll forward process. The Fill All checkbox allows users to quickly select all activities and use the Fill Information window to assign registration and activity dates en masse.
  • The Update Forms panel was updated to allow users to mark the default form as required. In addition, the Form Title field was changed to be a dropdown list and allows users to change the forms without having to remove them.
  • The error messages that can display when users complete the roll forward now display in a window that is easier to read.
  • It's now easier for users to ignore activities that they initially selected to roll forward but later decided not to complete. Campus displays an alert that lists the activities that cannot roll forward because of missing data. At that point, the user can choose to continue by ignoring those activities or return to the Activity Roll Forward tool to complete the missing information.

Activity Roll Forward Update (SIS-149067)

Campus was not saving the correct registration and activity dates in the database when new activities were created using the Activity Roll Forward tool. This issue was causing activities to display in Campus Student and Campus Parent portal when they should not and hiding other activities when they should have displayed. This issue was corrected.

Ad hoc Reporting

Ad Hoc Reporting–Chronic Absenteeism Information Tool Rights Not Respecting Ad Hoc Reporting (SIS-149308)

In Ad Hoc Reporting, State Edition users can view Aggregated Attendance details if they minimally have Read tool rights to Chronic Absenteeism Information (Tool Rights Path: Attendance > Chronic Absenteeism Information). When a user with qualifying tool rights attempted to view the aggregated attendance data in Ad hoc they incorrectly received an error token. This has been fixed.

Attendance– Attendance Wizard Displaying Non-Attendance Day Warning (SIS-116961)

An issue was causing a non-attendance day warning to trigger in the Attendance Wizard when a user changed the date from a non-attendance day to an attendance day and attempted to save. This has been fixed.

Campus Instruction

Uncategorized Assignments in the Control Center (SIS-142889)

Previously, uncategorized assignments displayed in the assignment list of the Control Center, but the assignments could not be opened because they did not have grading alignments and an error occurred. This has been corrected. A new filter has been added to the assignment list for Unaligned assignments. When a teacher clicks one of these assignments to view it, they will be prompted to setup grading for the assignment, after which it can be scored.

Missing Assignments with Scores (SIS-147958)

When a teacher enters a score for an assignment flagged as Missing, a warning displays. An assignment can only be flagged as Missing and have a score if it has been received from another program through the OneRoster API. In this instance, logic has been updated so that if the teacher clicks Cancel in that warning, the existing score is not deleted.

Missing Assignment with Multiple Alignments (SIS-148295)

Previously, an assignment with multiple alignments could have one alignment scored and another marked as Missing, if the missing flag was added after the score. This should not be possible and has been corrected.

Mailing Labels Printing without Guardian (SIS-137134)

When printing Mailing Labels for Guardians, if a guardian has more than one student included in the scope of the report, or when a guardian is tied to more than one household with the same address, additional mailing labels are being generated that included only the address with no matching guardian name. This has been corrected.

Student Number Format - State ID as Student Number (SIS-148329)

For districts not linked to a State Edition, the Student Number Format preference of _Use State ID as Student Number_ was not populating the Student Number field when creating a student through the Student Locator. This has been corrected.

Mailing Labels, Health Office Visits Cancellation - Calendar Selection (SIS-149042)

Ability to Sequence Custom Menu Items, Categories, and Tools Added to Custom Tool Placement Editor (SIS-144852) [Enhancement] 

A new Sort Name field has been added to custom Menu Item, Category, and Tool editors within the Custom Tools Placement Editor. Using this new field, users can customize the sequence of these items (alphanumerically) within Navigation Tree.

Note: The Sort Name field is only available for custom Menu Items, Categories, and Tools. You cannot sequence core tools.

Early Warning

Early Warning Daily, Monthly, and Yearly Score Data Now Available and Sync in State Editions (SIS-146981) [Enhancement] 

Early Warning Daily, Monthly, and Yearly score data is now available in State Editions of Infinite Campus (who have Campus Analytics Suite enabled).

Data from the following tables now sync to State Editions and are available for resync via the State Resync Data tool:

Ed-Fi Resync Logic Update (SIS-149041) [Enhancement] 

The resync logic has been updated to support users with a core Ed-Fi connection that are using a vendor that has implemented a multi-tenant setup. Infinite Campus will only support one open connection at a time when a multi-tenant setup is being used.

Forms

Form Batch Setup Fix (SIS-148958)

An issue with the Check Status screen on the Form Batch Setup tool not loading if an Enrollment for a student is deleted has been resolved. If the student's Enrollment has been deleted after a Form has been generated, "No grade found" displays in the Grade column. For eSignature Forms, an End Date may be entered to allow the Form on the Portal to expire.

STAR LA Extract Update (SIS-145220)

Minnesota Only

For proper salary reporting on the STAR LA Extract, a new field called ""Additional Pay Types"" was added to the extract editor. Users can select additional Pay Types to include in the report. Selected Pay Types display in the ""Selected Types"" window and can be removed if necessary before the report is generated.

Work Location Percent Change (SIS-146690) [Enhancement] 

The Work Location Percent field was changed to allow users to enter 0% or can be left blank. The Work Assignment record will save as long the total of all work location percentages equals 100%.

An update has been made to remove a confusing warning message during the Special Ed Amendment process. Online Payments

Inactive Payments Added to Recurring Payments Report (SIS-144704) [Enhancement] 

Districts can now see inactive payments on the Recurring Payments Report. A recurring payment becomes inactive when it reaches its End Date or when the portal user deletes or modifies the payment. A new toggle called "Display Inactive Recurring Payments" was added to the screen. When set to ON, inactive and active recurring payments display. The inactive payments will display with the label "inactive" or "deleted."

As part of this change, the following new columns were added to the report. These new fields only display if you add them using the "Select Column" tool.

  • Created Date
  • Email Address
  • Low Balance
  • Payment Method
  • Recurring Payment Status
  • Version Date

Templates Added to Payments Reporter (SIS-147822) [Enhancement] 

A new feature called "Templates" was added to the Payments Reporter. Templates allow you to save a custom view of the Payments Reporter and use it again later. You can choose specific columns to display, group them in a useful way, and save your selections as a template. You can create multiple templates as well as update or delete templates at any time.

After migrating to the new payments platform, districts could not retrieve deposit dates via Ad hoc Reporting. This issue was corrected. Now, after migrating, deposit dates can be reported from the following locations.

  • Census/Staff Data Type: Person > Online Payments > Online Payment Transaction items > depositDate > ptp2.depositDate (New)

Deposit Request Reference and Deposit Request Date Added to Payments Reporter (SIS-149150) [Enhancement] 

The Deposit Request Reference and Deposit Request Date were added to the Payments Reporter to help districts with bank reconciliation. The Deposit Request Reference is the ID the payment platform sends to Campus when Campus requests a disbursement. The Deposit Request Date is the date when Campus requested the payments to be disbursed to the bank accounts. A Deposit Request Reference number is attached to each request.

The Payment Method and Payment Source columns are now automatically hidden but can be displayed using the Select Columns tool.

Deposit Process Update (SIS-149153) [Enhancement] 

Changes were made to the logic for the Deposit Process to ensure new deposit requests are not made on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or on bank holidays. This change was made to make it easier for districts to reconcile transactions with their bank.

Requests Satisfied Report - New Editor Options (SIS-110342) [Enhancement] 

The Requests Satisfied Report editor has been modified to include a Course/Section Ad hoc filter (previously, this was an option to limit courses based on whether the course was marked as Required on the Course Editor or not). Now, users can select a Department and/or an existing Course/Section Ad hoc Filter to return desired courses.

Duplicate Blended Learning Group Assignments (SIS-147384)

Using the Adjust Blended Learning Groups tool caused duplicate learning groups to display on the student's Blended Learning Group Assignments tool. This has been corrected.

Requests Satisfied Report - Incorrect Roster Counts (SIS-148757)

The Requests Satisfied Report was including roster counts from non-active trials. This has been corrected. When running the report from Scheduling Reports, only the currently active trial in the selected calendar is used to return data. When running the report from the Schedule Wizard, the currently open trial is used to return data.

Walk-In Scheduler - Courses with Combined Scheduling Rule (SIS-149149) (148873)

When using the Combined Scheduling Rule, searching for courses in the Walk-In Scheduler returned an error. This was related to there being three or more combined course sections, differing student counts for the combined sections, and differing max seat counts for the combined sections. In addition, the total number of students scheduled into a section that is combined was incorrect.

These issues have been corrected.

Walk-In Scheduler - Missing Courses When Adding Requests (SIS-149291)

Districts who do not have Password Reset functionality enabled were receiving a 403 error when attempting to reset their passwords via a unique URL. This issue was corrected.

Character Lab Student Thriving Index Now Available (SIS-147874) [Enhancement] 

The Student Thriving Index is now available. This tool is used for the formative assessment of student social, emotional, academic, and physical well-being. This survey was developed by Dr. Angela Duckworth, CEO of Character Lab with support from researchers in their research network and feedback from Character Lab school partners.

Repeated participation in the Student Thriving Index allows schools and organizations to monitor student well-being topics such as sleep habits, social media use, and sense of belonging. School staff, district leaders, or organizational leaders can act on the results by identifying areas for improvement and sharing relevant resources to support their students. This input from educators and students helps to encourage student participation and create content aligned with their needs.

The following changes were made to the EL WIDA Student Pre-ID Extract.

  • A new Effective Date field and an Accommodation Date Range field was added so that districts can find accommodations within a date range.

In Infinite Campus, the Protected Identity area contains five fields: Legal First Name, Legal Last Name, Legal Middle Name, Legal Suffix, and Legal Gender. This case updated all Maryland state reporting to use the following logic:

  • If Legal First Name, Legal Last Name, or Legal Middle Name are not BLANK, then all five fields must be used on the extract to report the First Name, Last Name, Middle Name, Suffix, and Gender.
  • If only the Legal Gender is not blank, report the Legal Gender and use the Name Fields from the Identity tab (Not the Protected Identity area).

Legacy 2-digit State Enrollment Status codes have been replaced by new 4-digit codes provided by the State. These new codes will use the Code field to house the new 4-digit code and the Standard Code field to house both the 2-digit legacy code and 4-digit SIF code.

The following SIF StudentSchoolEnrollment elements has been updated to parse the Standard Code column to report either the 4 digit SIF code or 2 digit legacy code when looking at State Enrollment Status codes for element reporting logic:

  • ExitType/Code - Reports 4 digit SIF code
  • ExitType/OtherCodeList/OtherCode - Reports 2 digit legacy code

The [@Name=”ServicesOnly”] element has been updated to report as follows:

Montana – Updated Message Under Enrollment Exceptions Section of Enrollment (SIS-148916) [Enhancement] 

The hard-coded message under the Enrollment Exceptions section in the Enrollment tool has been updated to state:

State Exclude and Extracurricular Activities cannot both be marked. Only non-public students should be marked as ‘Extracurricular Activities Only’.

If ‘Extracurricular Activities Only’ box is marked, no other enrollment tab data is needed EXCEPT End of Year Number of 6+ and Number of 18+ weeks activities completed.

Nebraska - Ed-Fi 2021-22 School Year Updates (SIS-144319)

The following updates have been made to Ed-Fi for the 2021-22 school year:

  • Cohorts, Staff Cohort Associations, and Student Cohort Association resources have been acivated to report Ed-Fi data.
  • New fields and values have been added to the Digital Equity tool. Previous Digital Equity records need to be end dated and new ones created in order to report data correctly.
  • The Attendance Event categories have been updated.
  • The State Code field has been added to the Attendance Excuse Detail editor for each attendance code. This field needs to be populated with a code in order to report data correctly.
  • The Student Education Organization Association resource has been updated to send a mailing address and a physical address.
  • The Parents resource has been updated to send a mailing address and a physical address.
  • The Full Time Equivalency element in the Student School Associations resource has been updated to report based on the Percent Enrolled field.

Nevada - Updates for the Locale and Magnet Status Fields (SIS-147955)

The "Virtual" field was renamed "Locale" and now displays in the School History section of the School tab.

The "Magnet Status" field found in System Administration > Data Utilities > Synchronization Field Settings > SchoolAttribute was moved from state ownership to district ownership. Districts are now able to edit the Magnet Status field located in System Administration > Resources > School > School History > General Info > Magnet Status.

New Jersey

New Jersey - SMART SID Management Extract (SIS-147570)

The SMART SID Management Extract has been updated for the 2021-22 school year. New fields that report in the SMART State Submission are now included in this extract, several fields have been moved in the layout, and a few fields have been removed (Cumulative Days in Membership, Cumulative Days Present and Cumulative Days Towards Truancy).

In addition, Attendance Validation Tools have been added - one for attendance period details and one for attendance day details. These validation tools can be used to review student attendance data prior to submitting the SID Management Extract to the state.

New Mexico

New Mexico - Report Updates for Sections (SIS-147087)

The following changes were made for state cross-file validation.

COURSE

  • When the Submission Schedule is 40D, 80D, 120D, or EOY, report logic was updated to report a record per Course > State Course Code per School from the Calendars selected on the extract editor where at least one Section is scheduled at any time during the School Year of the Calendar selected on the extract editor.

COURSE_ENROLL

  • The report logic was updated to report all students actively on the roster on/between a specific date range based on the Submission Schedule selected on the Extract Editor:
    • 40D - Calendar start up to & including the 2nd Wednesday of October.
    • 80D - Date after 2nd Wednesday of October up to & including the first M-F date in December.
    • 120D - Date after first M-F date in December up to & including second Wednesday of February.
    • EOY - Date after the second Wednesday of February up to & including the last calendar date.

CRSE_INSTRUCT

  • The requirement that a section must have at least one student rostered at any time in the section to report was removed for all submission schedules.
  • Logic was updated so that the teacher who is active on the Standardized Reporting Date of the Submission Schedule selected on the extract editor reports.

STUD_GRADES

  • The Submission Schedule dropdown list on the extract editor was updated to only contain EOY.
  • Logic was updated to report the value returned in the following fields to report based on the date the student was last placed on the section roster: Marking Period Num, Semester, and Course Instructor Snapshot Date.

New York - Digital Equity Tool and SIRS Student Digital Access Extract (SIS-147635)

The Digital Equity tool is now available for districts in New York and allows Districts to track digital devices and internet availability for students.

A new SIRS extract called ""Student Digital Access"" is also available now. The extract reports individual student digital equity survey information collected during a school year.

New York - SIRS Code Updates for the 2020-2021 School Year (SIS-149224)

  • The following new State Seal code was added: 8313 Received Seal of Civic Readiness. The State Seal field is found in Student Information > General > Graduation > State Seal Information > State Seal and reports in the SIRS Programs Fact extract.
  • The following new Exit Reason code was added: 3050 ELL Exit Using August/September 2021 NYSITELL Score only. The Exit Reason field is found in Student Information > Program participation > English Learners > EL > Exit Reason and reports in the SIRS Programs Fact extract.
  • The Gender Code (X) Nonbinary was added to Census > People > Identities > Gender and reports in the SIRS Student Lite extract.
  • The following new Career Path code was added: CIVIC - Civic Readiness. The Career Path field is found in Student Information > General > Graduation > State Reporting Graduation Fields > Career Path and reports in the SIRS Student Lite extract.
  • The following State Program Code was updated: 2759 Summer - Physical Education - A. The State Program Code field can be found in Programs > Flags > Program Detail > State Program Code.

Ohio - Student Assessment (FA) Update (SIS-148893)

Previously, the Score field of the FA extract was not reporting the Scale Score correctly if the Code for the assessment began with three alpha characters. This has been corrected so that if a Scale Score is entered, that value is reported. If Scale Score is 0, reports the Result. Otherwise reports as ***.

  • A new Native American Eligibility tab has been added. This tab allows schools and districts to manage tribe details and membership data for students.

Pennsylvania - New Transitions State Reporting Tool (SIS-146926)

A new Transitions State Reporting tool is now available in Student Information > Special Education > General tool set.

This new tool includes the following checkboxes. These fields were previously located on the student's IEP

  • Individual Job Coaching Paid

Wisconsin Evaluation Updates (SIS-148687)

Several updates have been made to the Wisconsin Evaluation:

  • a new print format, WI Eligibility Report 2021.2, is now available.
  • The "Date of Eligibility Determination" field on the ER-1 Eligibility Determination editor has been changed to "Date form completed."
  • The criteria worksheet has been removed from the Hearing Impairment, Visual Impairment, Significant Developmental Delay - Re-evaluation, Intellectual Disability - Re-evaluation, and Specific Learning Disability - Initial Evaluation Using Significant Discrepancy editors.
    Print and UI updates were made to the ER-1 Eligibility Determination, ER-1 Need for Specially Designed Instruction and ER-1 Previous Interventions editors.

Wyoming

Wyoming - Course Fields, WDE-638, and WDE-684 Updates (SIS-144585)

On the Course tab, the following codes have been deprecated from the Instruction Level field: AP: Advanced Placement and IB: International Baccalaureate. The Next Year Hathaway field has been renamed to CTE. Additionally, the following changes to code lists have been made:

  • End Status Type: updated description for code 140 and added codes 141 and 142. (System Administration > Enrollment > End Status Type)
  • Special Ed Setting: Removed codes PP and PH and added MN. (Student Information > General > Enrollments > Special Ed Fields)

The following updates have been made to the WDE-638 Course Inventory Data report:

  • The SCEDcode field has been renamed to State_Course_ID.
  • A new InstructionLevel field has been added after the StateCourseID field. This field reports the Instruction Level selected, the default value if null, or null if no default value is selected.
  • The NumberOfCredits and Description fields have been updated to always report, regardless of the StateCourseID value reported.
  • The HathawayIndicator field has been renamed to Hathaway.
  • The SchoolYear field has been removed from the report.
  • A new CTE field has been added to the end of the report which reports based on whether CTE is marked on the Course.
  • The SchoolYear field has been removed.

The following updates have been made to the WDE-684 Extract:

  • Student File
    • Report logic has been updated to include students marked as No Show and a new NoShow field has been added to the extract.
    • The StateALTAssessment field has been removed.
  • Section Enrollment
    • The Milestones and MilestonesComplete fields have been removed.
  • Special Education File
    • Updated to include students marked as No Show.
    • A new MedicaidEligible field has been added.

Wyoming – 2021-2022 SIF StudentParticipation Updates (SIS-144586)

The following updates were made to the StudentParticipation object:

  • Population logic was updated to the following:
    • For each locked IEP (with any Print Format) in the Zone calendar year, report an instance of StudentParticipation when the IEP Start Date <= current Date, and the student has a Primary enrollment on or inside the IEP Start Date and IEP End Date range.
    • When Student has a locked, “Initial” Evaluation at any time during the SIF Zone Year, and does NOT have a locked IEP during the Zone Year, report a StudentParticipation instance.
    • When a SIF element in the object pulls from enrollment, it must pull from the most recent (latest Start Date) Primary enrollment tied to the IEP in the Zone Year.
  • All references to a specific IEP Print Format have been removed.
  • Logic for the EvalulationParentalConsentDate has been updated to the following:
    • Reports the date in (Student Info>Special Ed>Documents>Evaluation>Consent Date) when student has a locked Evaluation with an Evaluation Type = Initial, AND the Evaluation Date is most recent that is <= the current date (and within the SIF Zone Year) ONLY WHEN one of the following are True:
      • The selected IEP has a Special Ed Status = N, R or I.
      • The selected IEP has a Special Ed Status = Y, AND the student does NOT have a locked IEP in any prior year (so this is the first year they have an IEP).
      • The most recent (latest Start Date) Primary enrollment in the year with a Start Date <= the current date has (Student Info>General>Enrollments>Special Ed Fields>Program Exit Date) that falls within the current Zone Year for the calendar, AND (Program Exit Reason) = NOT NULL, AND the student does NOT have a locked IEP in any prior year (this is the first year they have an IEP).
    • When one of the above criteria are not met, or when an Initial evaluation does not exist with a date in Consent Date, report this element as Null: do not report this element.
    • Format: YYYY-MM-DD
  • The ProgramPlacementDate element has been activated.
  • The following extended elements were added:
    • StudentOutOfStateTransfer
    • SpecialEducationAssessment
    • StudentRelatedService1
