Health vaccines and their associated compliance listings are based on state guidelines. While Infinite Campus maintains standard guidelines for all states, districts have the ability to enter additional compliances. The following information describes vaccine compliance rules as defined by the Kansas State Department of Health and Environment.

General Compliance

  • Vaccine doses administered less than or equal to 4 days before the minimum interval or age are counted as valid.
  • Doses administered 5 days earlier than the minimum interval or age are not counted as valid doses and need to be repeated as age-appropriate.
  • With the exception of Hepatitis B vaccine, immunizations given before 6 weeks of age are not considered valid.
  • Half doses or reduced doses of a vaccine are not considered valid.

DTap

Rule

Condition(s)

Age 0-1 month 

No requirement

The student is not required to receive any doses of the DTaP/DTP vaccine when the student is less than 1 month old.

1 dose Age 2-3 months 

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 2 months old but no older than 3 months old,
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP) or Diptheria and Tetanus (DT) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days,with a 4 day tolerance.

2 doses Age 4-5 months 

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 4 months old but no older than 5 months old,
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP) or Diptheria and Tetanus (DT) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses Age 6-14 months 

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 6 months old but no older than 14 months old,
  • the student receives 3 doses of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP) or Diptheria and Tetanus (DT) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance.

4 doses Under 5 

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is no older than 59 months old,
  • the student receives 4 doses of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP) or Diptheria and Tetanus (DT) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the fourth dose and the previous is greater than 4 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the fourth dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

4 doses

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 4 doses of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP), Diptheria and Tetanus (DT), Tetanus-diptheria (TD), or Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the last dose and the previous is greater than 4 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 84 months (7 years) old,
  • the student receives 3 doses of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP), Diptheria and Tetanus (DT), Tetanus-diptheria (TD), or Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 6 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 12 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 84 months with a 4 day tolerance.

4 doses 7+ 

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 84 months (7 years) old,
  • the student receives 4 doses of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP), Diptheria and Tetanus (DT), Tetanus-diptheria (TD), or Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is less than 11 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the fourth dose and the previous is greater than 6 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 84 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses 

In Process

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 3 doses of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP), Diptheria and Tetanus (DT), Tetanus-diptheria (TD), or Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than 5 months with a 1 day tolerance.

2 doses 7+

In Process

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 2 doses of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP), Diptheria and Tetanus (DT), Tetanus-diptheria (TD), or Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than 5 months with a 1 day tolerance.

1 dose 

In Process

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 1 dose of the Diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP/DTP), Diptheria and Tetanus (DT), Tetanus-diptheria (TD), or Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than 28 days with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

Tdap

Rule

Condition(s)

1 dose grades 7-12

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is in state grades 12: Seventh Grade, 13: Eighth Grade, 14: Ninth Grade, 15: Tenth Grade, 16: Eleventh Grade, or 17: Twelfth Grade, and
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.

1 dose DTaP grades 7-12

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is in state grades 12: Seventh Grade, 13: Eighth Grade, 14: Ninth Grade, 15: Tenth Grade, 16: Eleventh Grade, or 17: Twelfth Grade,
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 84 months with a 4 day tolerance.

Grades 7-12

Non-compliant

The student is considered non-compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is in state grades 12: Seventh Grade, 13: Eighth Grade, 14: Ninth Grade, 15: Tenth Grade, 16: Eleventh Grade, or 17: Twelfth Grade, and
  • the student has not received any doses of the Tetanus, Diptheria, and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.

Hepatitis B

Rule

Condition(s)

Birth - 2 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when  the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is no older than 2 months old, and
  • the student has received 1 dose of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine.

3-6 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 3 months old but no older than 6 months old,
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the second dose and the first valid dose is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 3 doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the first valid dose is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the last dose and the second valid dose is greater than 56 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the last dose and the first valid dose is greater than 112 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 168 days with a 4 day tolerance.

2 doses adult

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine.

Hepatitis A

No Requirement

The student is not required to receive any doses of the Hepatitis A (Hep A) vaccine when the student is less than 11 months old.

  • the student receives 1 dose of the Measles-Mumps Rubella (MMR) or Measles-Mumps-Rubella-Varicella (MMRV) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

1 M,M,R

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is no older than 47 months old,
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Measles vaccine, and
    • the difference between the dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance, OR
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Rubella vaccine, and
    • the difference between the dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance, OR
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Mumps vaccine, and
    • the difference between the dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

2 MMR

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 2 doses of the Measles vaccine, and
    • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 12 months with a 4 day tolerance, and

  • the student receives 2 doses of the Rubella vaccine, and

Varicella

Students are not required to receive any doses of the Varicella vaccine when the student is less than 15 month old.

1 dose < 4 years

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is no older than 47 months old,
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Varicella or Measles-Mumps-Rubella-Varicella (MMRV) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

2 doses

Compliant


The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 48 months old,
  • the student is in state grade 05: Kindergarten, 06: First Grade, 07: Second Grade, 08: Third Grade, 09: Fourth Grade, 10: Fifth Grade, 11: Sixth Grade, 12: Seventh Grade, 13: Eighth Grade, 14: Ninth Grade, 15: Tenth Grade, 16: Eleventh Grade, or 17: Twelfth Grade,

Compliant

 The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 5 months and no older than 6 months old,
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Polio (IPV, OPV, or IPV/OPV) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses before 08/07/2009

Compliant

 The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 48 months old, 
  • the student receives 3 doses of the Polio (IPV, OPV, or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the student receives the last dose before 08/07/2009, 
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance, 
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the third dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses 7 mos - 4 yrs

Compliant

 The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 7 months and no older than 59 months old,
  • the student receives 3 doses of the Polio (IPV, OPV, or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses 4 years

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 48 months old, 
  • the student receives 3 doses of the Polio (IPV, OPV, or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance, 
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 48 months with a 4 day tolerance, and

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 4 doses of the Polio (IPV, OPV, or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 4 doses of the Polio (IPV, OPV, or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the student receives the last dose before 08/07/2009, 
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance, 
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,

4 doses 6-12

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 4 doses of the Polio (IPV, OPV, or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the fourth dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses IPV 6-12

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 3 doses of the Polio (IPV or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the third dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses OPV 6-12

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is in state grade 11: Sixth Grade, 12: Seventh Grade, 13: Eighth Grade, 14: Ninth Grade, 15: Tenth Grade, 16: Eleventh Grade, or 17: Twelfth Grade,
  • the student receives 3 doses of the Polio (OPV or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the third dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

4 doses K-5

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is in state grade 05: Kindergarten, 06: First Grade, 07: Second Grade, 08: Third Grade, 09: Fourth Grade, or 10: Fifth Grade,
  • the student receives 4 doses of the Polio (IPV, OPV, or IPV/OPV) vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,

2 dose

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 2 doses of the Polio (IPV or IPV/OPV) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the dose and the effective date is less than 5 months with a 1 day tolerance.

Pneumococcal

The student is not required to receive any doses of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine when the student is less than 2 month old. 

3-4 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 3 months old and no older than 4 months old, and 
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine.

5-6 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 5 months old and no older than 6 months old, and
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine.

7-15 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 7 months old and no older than 15 months old, and
  • the student receives 3 doses of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine.

16 months - 4 years

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 16 months old and no older than 59 months old, and

  • the student is at least 5 months old and no older than 6 months old, and
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Haemophilus influenza (Hib) or the Hib 3 vaccine.
7-15 months

  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 192 months, with a 4 day tolerance.

1 dose 7th-10th Grade

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives one dose of the Meningococcal (MCV4 or MenACWY) vaccine,
  • student is in State Grade: 12: Seventh Grade, 13: Eighth Grade, 14: Ninth Grade, or 15: Tenth Grade, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 120 months, with a 4 day tolerance.

The student is considered non-compliant when they are in State Grade: 12: Seventh Grade, 13: Eighth Grade, 14: Ninth Grade, 15: Tenth Grade,16: Eleventh Grade, or 17: Twelfth Grade and has not received any doses of the Meningococcal (MCV4 or MenACWY) vaccine.
