Responsive Scheduling - Video Series

Responsive Scheduling allows schools to establish a special time for focused instruction on a topic, referred to as an offering.

This series of videos provides a general walk-through of how to set up Responsive Scheduling and add students to responsive period offerings..

Responsive Scheduling Overview

This whiteboard video gives a start to finish overview of what Responsive Scheduling is and how to set up and use it in Campus.

Getting Started

The way a school decides to implement Responsive Scheduling impacts the setup that needs to take place.

This video provides an overview of how to prepare to offer Responsive Scheduling courses.

Scenario: A school is creating a special Responsive Period Schedule for responsive days that will be manually placed one Friday every month. A course will be created to hold offerings that teachers and administrators will create for academic help and enrichment opportunities occurring during each responsive session.

Responsive Schedule Designer

After Responsive Periods have been established and Responsive Courses have been created, the Responsive Schedule Designer is used to define the structure needed for designated courses to have offerings created on Responsive Days.

This video shows how to create a responsive schedule using the Responsive Schedule Designer.

Create Offerings: Teachers

Once a Responsive Schedule has been defined, teachers can create offerings.

This video demonstrates how a teacher can create offerings that meet during a Responsive Day Session.

Responsive Schedule Section Builder

This video demonstrates how, after Responsive Periods and Courses have been created and Responsive Schedules have been defined, the Section Builder is used to schedule sections for Responsive Courses based on offerings teachers and other staff create.

Student Requests

Students can be placed into offerings by their teacher or an administrator. A school may allow students to request an offering via the Portal.

This video gives a brief overview of three ways student requests for responsive offerings can be entered.
