Release notes allow relevant personnel to review enhancements, modifications, and regulated changes prior to accepting an update. It is advised that users review the release notes carefully and alert appropriate district staff to changes in Campus.

Notifications for Waitlist (SIS-197630)
Resolved an issue where notifications from the Waitlist did not send due to having too many characters. Waitlist notifications now have a character limit and existing notifications over the new character limit will be shortened. Please review your notifications and revise them as necessary.

Pass-Through SQL Query Errors from State to District (SIS-197956)
When a pass-through query was created and published by the State to District Editions, it would hang in pending status and time out. This issue has been resolved. Pass-through SQL queries pushed down to District Editions are now published as expected, without errors or timeouts.

Campus Instruction
Deleting Assignments with Student Work and/or Scores (SIS-47334) [Enhancement]
Assignments can now be deleted even if they have student work submitted and/or have been scored. If the assignment has student work or score records associated with it, a confirmation pop-up displays when a user attempts to delete the assignment, stating that once the assignment is deleted, it cannot be recovered. The user must mark the "I understand and wish to continue" checkbox to delete the assignment.

Instruction - Accessibility Updates (SIS-195848) [Enhancement]
Additional accessibility updates have been made to Instruction tools, including color contrast, screen reader behavior, and keyboard navigation.

Grade Book Column Headers (SIS-197404)
Previously, the column headers in the Grade Book would disappear for some users when switching between Tasks. This has been corrected.

Seating Charts Redesigned - Limited Release (SIS-197759) [Enhancement]
The Seating Charts tool has been redesigned to improve the usability, flexibility, and accessibility of the tool. Improvements include:
- Greater flexibility in seat placement to more closely mirror non-traditional classroom layouts and larger seating arrangements.
- Option to copy a seating chart between sections and years, allowing teachers to reuse a classroom setup rather than recreating it every term.
- Enhanced keyboard navigation.
To avoid disruption at a time when many school years are ending, this update is not being automatically enabled on customer sites. If a district is interested in this new functionality for training and planning purposes, they can submit a request with Campus Support to have the new functionality enabled. Note: the change will apply to the entire district and once new Seating Charts are enabled, a district cannot go back to the previous Seating Charts tool.
These changes will be released to all customers this summer, targeting the Campus.2627 release at the end of June.

Instruction Reports - Filter by Student Group (SIS-198379)
Previously, when a teacher generated an Instruction report and selected the Filter by Student Group option, the first student in the group disappeared from the student list. This has been corrected.

Campus Learning
New Quiz Setting - Require Responses (SIS-197455) [Enhancement]
Previously, students had to answer each question in a quiz before they could submit it. A new option has been added to Quiz Settings that allows teachers to control whether students can submit incomplete quizzes. The option is called "Require responses before submitting." If the teacher leaves the checkbox marked, students must answer all questions before submitting. If the checkbox is not marked, students can submit the quiz even if they haven't answered some or all questions.

Embedding Google Docs in Curriculum (SIS-197865) [Enhancement]
Google Docs can now be embedded in the text editors on curriculum. Previously, an embedded Google Docs were stripped out when the curriculum was saved.

New Quiz Feature - Question Banks (SIS-198050) [Enhancement]
A new feature has been added to quizzes called Question Banks. Question Banks are a type of curriculum that is only visible to teachers and other curriculum staff. Banks collect questions together to make it simpler to store, access, and reuse quiz questions. Teachers can create banks for subjects, units, or any other grouping that makes sense for their curriculum.
From a bank, teachers can copy questions into an existing piece of curriculum or a new one. They can also start with an assignment and copy questions from a bank to a quiz.
One recommended workflow is to create question banks in the My Curriculum tool, which can then be used to make quizzes in any of a teacher's sections.

Backend Enhancement Makes Upload Button Appear for Non-CDR Districts (SIS-198028) [Enhancement]
An update to the management of backend file storage will cause an Upload button to appear in various tools across Campus for districts that are not currently using the Campus Digital Repository (CDR). When selected, the user cannot upload documents; instead, they are presented with a message directing them to contact their administrator to register for CDR. The presence of CDR functionality enables a seamless transition if/when a district fully enables CDR, and it allows non-CDR customers to maintain long-term access to historical Special Education documents and evaluations.

LTI 1.3 - Placements and Parameters (SIS-196124) [Enhancement]
A new Placements and Parameters section has been added for LTI 1.3 connections. This section populates any parameter set in Campus's internal vendor management system for the connection as a whole or for specific placements of LTI tools. District users can modify these auto populated parameters and enter their own as desired.

New Course Rules for Precedes/Follows and Before/After (SIS-174393) [Enhancement]
New Scheduling Rules have been added for the Precedes/Follows and Before/After rules, allowing the rules to apply to either Terms or Periods. Previously, the rules only applied to the Term. Logic for rules with ‘(by Term)’ in the name has not been changed.
Before and After
The existing rules of Before and After are now:
- Before (by Term) and After (by Term)
- Before (by Period) and After (by Period)
Choosing ‘by Term’ means the student must take the course in a term that comes before the current term or a term that comes after the current term during any point in the school year.
Choosing ‘by Period’ means the student must take the course in a period that comes before or after the period in which that course section is scheduled at any time during the day.
Period order is based on the SEQUENCE of the period as entered in Calendar Periods, not by the Name of the period.
Precedes and Follows
The existing rules of Precedes and Follows are now:
- IMMEDIATELY Precedes (by Term) and IMMEDIATELY Follows (by Term)
- IMMEDIATELY Precedes (by Period) and IMMEDIATELY Follows (by Period)
Choosing ‘by Term’ means the student must take the course in a term in the preceding consecutive term - e.g., if the course is scheduled in Term 2, the other course must be scheduled in Term 1).
Choosing ‘by Period’ means the student must take the course in a period in the preceding consecutive period - .e.g, if the course is scheduled in Period 2, the other course must be scheduled in Period 1.

Scheduling Board, Staff Planner - Teacher Role Assignment (SIS-174395) [Enhancement]
The Scheduling Board and the Staff Planner now include the option to assign a Role to the staff person. When the Role is populated in the Staff Planner, it is automatically populated on the Scheduling Board.
In the Scheduling Board, right-click on a Section and select a value for the new field Assign Primary Teacher Role.
In Staff Planner, select a staff person and enter a Role for them. Or filter the staff list and apply the same role to the selected staff using the Batch Edit Staff option.
Options for Roles cannot be modified.

Course Planner - Alternate Requests and Sections Needed (SIS-197957)
In the Campus.2611 Release, the option to include alternate course requests was added to the Scheduling Board. This incorrectly affected the Course Planner, which included the number of alternate requests for a course in its calculation of sections needed.
This has been corrected. The Course Planner no longer includes alternate requests in determining how many sections are needed for a course, and in the Scheduling Board, loading a section does not include alternate requests unless the Load Section Alternates option is selected.

- When the Attendance Recovery Days (field 24) is greater than zero, a check is done to see if there are qualifying absences for the entered time period.

- Review calendar day events and include indicated instructional minutes when a day event with a standard code of 'AD' was used.

- If a student is assigned to multiple NON-UNIQUE Academic Programs, only one report row of data generates to represent a summarization of the unique Academic Program.
- If a student is assigned an Academic Program that includes the word ‘Participant’ in the title of the pathway, that program is not included in the CTE Extract.
- The CTE Status field logic has been updated to reference data reported in Course(s) In Progress, Foundational Prerequisite Course, Prerequisite Course, and Concentrator Course columns.
