While Infinite Campus maintains standard guidelines for all states, districts have the ability to enter additional compliances. The following information describes vaccine compliance rules as defined by the Michigan State Department of Health.

Immunization Rules

The following tables describe all Michigan immunization requirements per vaccine.

DTap

RuleRequirements
Age 0-1 month
No Requirement
Students 1 month old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the DTaP vaccine.
2-3 months
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 2 months, but no older than 3 months old,
  • the student is in state grade: 30: Early Childhood/Early On, 
  • the student receives one dose of the DTaP/DTP or DT vaccine.
4-5 months
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 5 months old,
  • the student is in state grade: 30: Early Childhood/Early On, 
  • the student receives two doses of the DTaP/DTP or DT vaccine.
6-18 months
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 6 months, but no older than 18 months old,
  • the student is in state grade: 30: Early Childhood/Early On, 
  • the student receives three doses of the DTaP/DTP or DT vaccine.
19 mos and older
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 19 months old,
  • the student is in state grade: 30: Early Childhood/Early On, 
  • the student receives four doses of the DTaP/DTP or DT vaccine.
4-6 yrs
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 48 months, but no older than 83 months old,
  • the student receives four doses of the DTaP/DTP or DT vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 48 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
7 yrs and up
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives four doses of the DTaP/DTP, Tdap, Td, or DT vaccine.
7 yrs and up Td
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives three doses of the DTaP/DTP, Tdap, Td, or DT vaccine, 
  • the student receives one dose of the TD or Tdap vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 84 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

Tdap

RuleRequirements
1 dose 11 yrs and older
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 132 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Tdap vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 132 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
1 dose 11 yrs and older
Non-compliant
Students are considered non-compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 132 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Tdap, DT, Td, or DTaP/DTP vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is greater than or equal to 60 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

Hepatitis B

Birth-1 mos
No Requirement
Students 1 month old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
2-3 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 2 months, but no older than 3 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
4-18 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 18 months old,
  • the student receives two doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
3 doses
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student receives three doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
2 doses
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student receives two doses of the Hepatitis B - 2 Dose vaccine.

MMR

Measles-Mumps-Rubella

RuleRequirements
Birth - 15 mos
No Requirement
Students 15 months old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the Measles/Mumps/Rubella vaccine.
16 mos - 4 yrs MMR
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 16 months, but no older than 47 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the MMR or MMRV vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
16 mos - 4 yrs M,M,R
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 16 months, but no older than 47 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Measles vaccine, and
    • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance, OR
  • the student receives one dose of the Mumps vaccine, and
    • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance, OR
  • the student receives one dose of the Rubella vaccine, and
    • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
4 yrs and up MMR
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 48 months old,
  • the student receives two doses of the MMR or MMRV vaccine, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
4 yrs and up M,M,RStudents are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 48 months old,
  • the student receives two doses of the Measles vaccine, and
    • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance, OR
  • the student receives two doses of the Mumps vaccine, and
    • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance, OR
  • the student receives two doses of the Rubella vaccine, and
    • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
4 yrs and up 1MMR, 1M, 1M, 1R
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 48 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the MMR or MMRV vaccine,
    • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance, AND
  • the student receives one dose of the Measles vaccine, and
    • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance, OR
  • the student receives one dose of the Mumps vaccine, and
    • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance, OR
  • the student receives one dose of the Rubella vaccine, and
    • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

Varicella

RuleRequirements
Birth - 15 mos
No Requirement
Students 15 months old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the Varicella vaccine.
16 mos and older
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 16 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Varicella or MMRV vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
2 doses
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student receives two doses of the Varicella or MMRV vaccine, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

Polio

RuleRequirements
Birth - 1 mo
Compliant
Students 1 month old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the Polio vaccine.
2-3 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 2 months, but no older than 3 months old, and
  • the student receives one dose of the IPV/OPV, IPV, or OPV Polio vaccine.
4-18 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 18 months old, and
  • the student receives two doses of the IPV/OPV, IPV, or OPV Polio vaccine.
19 mos and older
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 19 months old, 
  • the student is in state grade: 30: Early Childhood/Early On, and
  • the student receives three dose of the IPV/OPV, IPV, or OPV Polio vaccine.
4-6 yrs
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 48 months, but no older than 72 months old, 
  • the student receives three doses of the IPV/OPV, IPV, or OPV Polio vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 48 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
7 yrs and up
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 84 months old, and 
  • the student receives three doses of the IPV/OPV, IPV, or OPV Polio vaccine.

Pneumococcal

RuleRequirements
Age 0-1 months
No Requirement
Students 1 month old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the Pneumococcal vaccine.
1 dose 2-3 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 2 months, but no older than 3 months old, and
  • the student receives one dose of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine.
2 dose 4-5 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 5 months old, and
  • the student receives two doses of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine.
3 dose 6-15 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 6 months, but no older than 15 months old, and
  • the student receives three doses of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine.
4 dose 16 mos and older
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 16 months, and
  • the student receives four doses of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine.
1 dose 24 mos - 4 yrs
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 24 months, but no older than 48 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine, and
  • the difference between first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 24 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
Age 5 yrs and older
No Requirement
Students 60 months old and older are not required to receive any doses of the Pneumococcal vaccine.

HIB

RuleRequirements
Birth - 1 mo
No Requirement
Students 1 month old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the Hib vaccine.
2-3 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 2 months, but no older than 3 months old, and
  • the student receives one dose of the Haemophilus influenza, type B (Hib) vaccine.
4-15 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 15 months old, and
  • the student receives two dose of the Haemophilus influenza, type B (Hib) vaccine.
16 mos - 4 yrs - 1 dose >= 15 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 16 months, but no older than 48 months old, 
  • the student receives one dose of the Haemophilus influenza, type B (Hib) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 15 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
16 mos - 4 yrs
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 16 months, but no older than 59 months old,  and
  • the student receives two doses of the Haemophilus influenza, type B (Hib) vaccine.
5 yrs and up
No Requirement
Students 60 months old and older are not required to receive any doses of the Hib vaccine.

Meningococcal

RuleRequirements
1 dose 11-18 yrs
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 132 months, but no older than 216 months old,
  • the student is in state grade(s): 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, and
  • the student receives one dose of the Meningococcal (MCV4 or MenACWY) vaccine.
1 dose 11 yrs and older
Non-compliant
Students are considered non-compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 132 months, but no older than 216 months old,
  • the student is in state grade(s): 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, and
  • the student has received no doses of the Meningococcal (MCV4 or MenACWY) vaccine.

Previous Versions
