MSDS Extracts

Extract

Description

 General Collection 

The MSDS General Collection Extract is used to gather student data largely from Enrollments, IEP's and Behavior meant to represent pupil membership counts and participation data.

Early Childhood

The MSDS Early Childhood Extract is used to gather information about students receiving services through an entity or program that are funded through the state of Michigan, specifically reporting enrollments and exits for individual programs.

 Early Roster 

The MSDS Early Roster Extract is used to gather projected student enrollment data for the upcoming school year, will not impact accountability and is required for creating a Direct Certification report.

Request for UIC

The MSDS Request for UIC allows districts to obtain or validate Unique Identification Codes (State ID's) for their students.

Student Record Maintenance

The MSDS Student Record Maintenance Extract is used to examine student data for changes and general data updates throughout the year, particularly for managing graduate data.

 Teacher Student Data Link 

The Teacher Student Data Link reports the link between students and the teachers who instruct them.

Third Grade Retention
The Third Grade Retention extract captures retention decisions for student targeted for retention according to the Read by Grade Three law (MCL 380.1280f). 
Nonpublic School Student Roster
The Nonpublic School Student Roster extract reports data for actively enrolled students.
