While Infinite Campus maintains standard guidelines for all states, districts have the ability to enter additional compliances. The following information describes vaccine compliance rules as defined by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

General Compliance Rules

There is a 4 day grace period for deadlines of a dose. Doses administered 5 days earlier than the minimum interval will not be counted as valid doses and should be repeated as age appropriate.

Hepatitis B

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, and
  • the student receives three doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, and
  • the student receives two doses of the Hepatitis B - 2 dose vaccine.
Between doses 1-2 K-12
In Process
Students are considered in process when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 
  • the student receives one dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the effective date is less than 28 days with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
Between doses 2-3 K-12
In Process
Students are considered in process when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 
  • the student receives two doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine, and
  • the difference between the second dose and the effective date is less than 56 days with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

  • the difference between the first dose and the effective date is less than 3 months with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

Students are considered non-compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, and
  • the student has not received any doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.

Students 2 months old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.

Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 3 months, but no older than 4 months old, and
  • the student receives one dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
5 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 5 months, but no older than 18 months old, and
  • the student receives two doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
19 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 19 months old, and
  • the student receives three doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
Between doses 1-2

Students are considered in process when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student receives one dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the effective date is less than 28 days with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.
Between doses 2-3

Td, Tdap, DT, and DTaP vaccines are acceptable for these requirements.

  • the student is no older than 83 months old,
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12,
  • the student receives three doses of the DTaP vaccine, and
  • the difference between the third dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 5 months with a 1 day tolerance.
Between doses 3-4 at 7yr, K-12

Students are considered in process when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12,
  • the student receives three doses of the DTaP vaccine, 
  • the difference between the third dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 5 months with a 1 day tolerance, and 
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is less than or equal to 11 months with a 4 day tolerance. 
Between doses 4-5, K-12

Students are considered in process when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is no older than 83 months old,
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12,
  • the student receives four doses of the DTaP vaccine, and
  • the difference between the fourth dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 5 months with a 1 day tolerance.
Default for K-12
Non-compliant
Students are considered non-compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade(s): KG, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, and
  • the student has not received any doses of the DTaP vaccine.

No Requirement
Students 2 months old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the DTaP vaccine.
3 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 3 months, but no older than 4 months old, and
  • the student receives one dose of the DT or DTaP vaccine.
5 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 5 months, but no older than 6 months old, and
  • the student receives two doses of the DT or DTaP vaccine.
7 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 7 months, but no older than 18 months old, and
  • the student receives three doses of the DT or DTaP vaccine.
19 mos
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 18 months old, and
  • the student receives four doses of the DT or DTaP vaccine.
Between doses 1-2

Students are considered in process when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student receives one dose of the DT or DTaP vaccine, and

Tdap

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade(s): 08, 09, 10, 11, 12,
  • the student receives one dose of the DT, DTaP, TD, or Tdap vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than 119 months with a 1 day tolerance.
1 Dose 7-12
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade(s): 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, and
  • the student receives one dose of the Td, or Tdap vaccine.
Default 7-12

Students are considered non-compliant when the following conditions have been met:

Hib

  • the student receives two doses of the Hib vaccine.

  • the student receives one dose of the Hib vaccine.

  • the student receives one dose of the MMR or MMRV vaccine.
After 16 mos 1M,M,R

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 16 months old, and
  • the student receives one dose of the Measles vaccine, OR
  • the student receives one dose of the Mumps vaccine, OR
  • the student receives one dose of the Rubella vaccine.

Varicella

A note from a parent or doctor indicating that the student had the disease is acceptable in place of vaccinations.

  • the student is at least 12 months, but no older than 23 months old,
  • the student receives three doses of the Pneumococcal PPV or PCV vaccine, 
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 7 months with a 4 day tolerance, 
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is less than or equal to 11 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.
12 mos 2 shots

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 12 months, but no older than 23 months old,
  • the student receives two doses of the Pneumococcal PPV or PCV vaccine, 
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is less than or equal to 23 months with a 4 day tolerance.
