The following corrections are included in Rx Packs for October and November 2020. Rx Packs contain a small number of critical cases to fix urgent issues, with delivery in an immediate time frame (e.g., the fix cannot wait for the next four week Release Pack).

It is recommended that customers apply all subsequent Release Packs immediately following Rx Packs. Doing so will benefit both customers and Infinite Campus when it comes to supporting the patch.

Rx Packs are cumulative; each Rx pack will automatically include all previous Rx packs within that release. These cases will also be included in the Campus.2048 pack unless otherwise noted.

Kentucky – Virtual Attendance Post Preference Tool Updated to Allow Previous Day Posting (SIS-142955)

To allow for correction of previous day attendance data, the Virtual Attendance Post Preferences tool has been updated to allow users to run the tool for previous days without posting attendance for the current date as long as the tool is run before the end of the instructional day.

Massachusetts – HR License Numbers and MA Degree Info Missing from SIF Data (SIS-142759)

HR License Numbers and MADegreeInfo extended element info were pulling data from incorrect data tables and reporting null values via SIF. To correct this issue the following updates were made:

  • For the SIF StaffPersonal object, the following trigger logic was added:
    • A Change event occurs when any changes are made to a staff’s License Number
    • A Change event occurs when any changes are made to a staff member’s MADegreeInfo element.
  • Logic for the StaffPersonal/OtherIdList/OtherId element has been updated to the following:
    • When the License is Active as of the State Reporting Date (or today's date if the State Reporting Date is Null) and the License Number is Null, element (OtherIDList) does not report.
    • When multiple licenses exist for the same Employment record, then report the License that is Active as of the State Reporting Date (or today's date if the State Reporting Date is Null) and use the Active License that contains the latest Start Date.
    • If any of the 3 fields of Degree Type, Degree Institution, or Degree subject are Null, then report all Null values for all fields.
    • If any of the 3 fields of Degree Type, Degree Institution, or Degree subject contain 00 values, then report those 00 values in addition to any field that may contain numeric values.
    • The data table location has been updated to now pull from Human Resources > Personnel > Personnel Master > Qualifications > Education > Qualifications Details.

Utah – December 1 Reporting Updates (SIS-141976)

The following SIF-related updates were made to ensure proper Dec 1 reporting:

  • Logic for the StudentAcademicRecord/AcademicPerformanceSummary/ ProjectedGraduationDate element has been updated to report the year in NGA Cohort End Year, followed by the month in which the student’s latest year calendar ends, prioritized by latest Start Date, then Primary enrollment.
  • Logic for the StudentParticipation/ExtendedElement/TimeCode element has been updated to report null when the Time field is Null or N/A.
  • Logic for the StudentParticipation/StudentSpecialEducationFTE element has been updated to report null when the Regular Percent field is null or N/A.
  • Logic for the StudentParticipation/ExtendedElement/IsOnePercent element has been updated to the following:
    •  In the SPED StudentParticipation (0270) instance:
      • Reports “Y” when DLM 1% field = Yes.
      • Otherwise, reports blank.
  • Logic for the StudentAcademicRecord/ExtendedElement/PercentileRank element has been updated to have a maximum allowed value of 99.99.
  • Logic for the DisciplineIncident object has been updated to the following:
    • For a Primary Event - When there is only 1 Behavior Event on the Behavior Incident:
      • When Primary Event = Checked.
      • Otherwise, report "Primary" for the lowest Event ID when no Primary Event exists.
    • When there is more than 1 Behavior Event on the Behavior Incident, and the student does not belong to a Behavior Event with "Primary Event" = Checked, report "Primary"
  • Logic for the StudentSchoolEnrollment object has been updated to include the following:
    • When a student has > 1 enrollment that belongs to the same School, where the enrollment Start Date and End Dates (or null End Date) overlap, and the Service Type of the overlapping enrollment(s) is NOT Primary, only 1 StudentSchoolEnrollment record must be reported, which will be from the Primary enrollment.
    • Note: When an enrollment End Date is entered, we report End Date +1, which means that if the subsequent enrollment begins on the End Date +1, the prior End Dated enrollment will overlap the subsequent enrollment, and so this would be considered an overlapping enrollment.

The Title 1 Start Date and Title 1 End Date fields have been reactivated on the Title 1 program.

The Special Ed Time, Regular Percent, and DLM 1% fields have been added to Ad hoc:

  • Time (settingCode1)
  • Regular Percent (settingCode 2)
  • DLM 1% (extendedTime)

Blended Learning

Blended Learning - Ad hoc Participation Detail View (SIS-142194)

In the Campus.2044 Release (see SIS-141293), spaces were removed from column names in the Blended Learning Participation Detail View to maintain consistency with other database views. This caused errors for users who had saved filters using the column names with spaces.

To correct this, the original column names with spaces have been re-added but are deactivated. Use the Element Replacement tool in Data Utilities to update the saved filters with the spaced column names to instead use the non-spaced column names.

Blended Learning - Backdating of Blended Learning Groups (SIS-142435)

Performance issues have been discovered when larger districts are backdating many calendars over longer periods of time. To avoid these issues, backdating is currently being limited to one week at a time while a permanent solution is constructed. Internal error tracking measures have been added to assist in addressing the issue.

Transcript - Credit Type Display (SIS-142481)

The Credit Type values now display in the Credit Type column on the Transcript read-only view without having to select a record.

Transcripts Does Not Load when ModifiedByID No Longer Exists (SIS-142581)

Student transcripts were not loading when a transcript record was last modified by a person who no longer exists in the database (either by deletion of that person or by the combining of that person with a duplicate record). This has been corrected.

Credit Overflow Override values were not displaying when editing or viewing a Transcript record until the Credit Type field was edited. This has been corrected.

Localization - Arizona

Arizona - Attendance Extract Updates (SIS-141470)

The following updates were made to the Attendance Extract:

  • The Student Attendance Summary has been split into two reports: Student Attendance Audit and Distance Learning Student Summary.
    • The Student Attendance Audit provides aggregate attendance data per student within the selected calendar.
      • Additional fields have been added to the Student Attendance Audit to assist with state audits.
    • The Distance Learning Student Summary provides distance learning statistics per student within the selected calendar.
  • The Distance Learning Summary has been renamed to the Distance Learning School Summary.
  • The description at the top of the Attendance Extract editor has been updated to properly refer to and describe the new Student Attendance Audit and Distance Learning Student Summary reports as well as reference the renamed Distance Learning Summary.

NOTE: The Student Attendance Audit will not populate the Aggregate Ed-Fi Days Absent field for any school year prior to the 19-20 school year. For the 19-20 school year, the field will only report if a resync of the attendance data can successfully be performed. There are no issues in reporting for the 20-21 school year and beyond.

Also, the Student Attendance Detail will not populate properly for any school year prior to the 19-20 school year. For the 19-20 school year, the report will only populate correctly if a resync of the attendance data can successfully be performed. There are no issues in population for the 20-21 school year and beyond.

Localization - Massachusetts

Massachusetts - SIF StaffAssignment to Send Non-Teacher Record to State (SIS-142578)

Population and business rules for the SIF StaffAssignment object have been updated to include the following:

  • The following requirements only apply to assignments where the title codes only have a value attribute of "t"
  • The staff must be assigned to the section as a Primary Teacher OR a Teacher
  • Note: If all assigned sections have no students with primary enrollments rostered into the course, staff assignment will not pull (in other words, at least 1 student with a primary enrollment must be enrolled in at least one course section the teacher is assigned to).

Also, the following Non-Teaching Staff Assignment Codes were updated with a "t" in the Value column to identify those non-teaching staff codes that should report to the State. These Staff Assignment Codes can be found under System Administration > Custom > Attribute Dictionary > EmploymentAssignment > Title > Dictionary. "T" values can be updated by the district at any time as needed.

Value = t for the following Staff Assignment Codes/Titles:

  • 2305 - Teacher
  • 2306 - Co-Teacher
  • 2307 - Virtual Course Teacher
  • 2308 - Virtual Course Co-Teacher

New Jersey - Test Accommodations, State Assessment Registration Extract (SIS-142403)

The following new fields have been added to the Test Accommodations tool:

Rhode Island - Enrollment Census Attendance Report Code 1F (SIS-142398)

Code 1F now reports for field 6, ATTEND_TYPE, on the Enrollment Census Attendance Report. Stored procedures used in the ADT Agent have also been updated to include this code.

Localization - Texas

Texas - Submission 1 reporting corrections for 20/21 reporting (TSDS) (SIS-142547)

Fixes have been made to the following TSDS extracts for Submission 1 reporting.

  • Education Organization Interchange – values were not reporting for the TX-ProgramOfStudy element. This has been fixed.
  • Student Interchange – Homeless records were not following reporting logic for Submission 1 reporting causing multiple records to report. To report, a student must have an active Homeless record on the snapshot date. If multiple Homeless records exist for a student, only the most recent will report.

Wisconsin - WISEid Import, WISEid Export - Special Characters (SIS-141717)

The WISEid Import and WISEid Export now strips all special characters from all first and last name fields.

For student ID and staff ID matching purposes on the Import file, allowable special characters are hyphens, apostrophes, periods and spaces.

Blended Learning - Virtual Attendance Posting Job Performance (SIS-142471)

The performance of the Virtual Attendance Posting Job has been modified to run for one posting job at a time. This prevents a site with many calendars/many days from being brought down when the posting time is the same for all calendars.

Districts with many calendars running the posting job at the same time should set the posting job time 15-30 minutes earlier than the default time, 11:59 PM, to avoid posting attendance for the current day if the job is triggered after midnight.

Localization - Kentucky

Kentucky – Virtual Attendance Post Failing to Create Check In/Check Out Records (SIS-142215)

The KY_PostNonParticipationToAttendance stored procedure has been updated to use the following logic:

  • If an attendance record exists:
    • on a day the student is virtual
    • for the attendance code passed in by the tool
    • with comments passed in by the tool
    • AND there are no associated check in/out records associated with PeriodIDs for the date
  • Delete the attendance record as part of the initial deletes for the tool.

The stored procedure will no longer insert virtual attendance records in non-instructional periods. Also, a one-time delete script has been run to remove virtual attendance previously posted in non-instructional periods.

Massachusetts – FTE Override Fields Added to District Assignment (SIS-142235)

The October 1 FTE Override and EOY FTE Override fields have been added to the Employment Assignment Information section of a District Assignment record.

To account for these new fields, logic for the SIF StaffAssignment/JobFTE element has been updated to the following:

  • Report the value of the FTE of Assignment for the staff. (When a district assignment does not have an associated course section that extends on or past the current date, do not include this district assignment.)
    • Report October 1 FTE Override value if this field is populated and the reporting date is 10/01.
    • Report EOY FTE Override if this field is populated and the reporting date is in the month of June.
  • When the staff does NOT have a district assignment with a Start Date <= the current date, and the district assignment(s) do not have an active course as of the current date, report 0.00.
  • The value reported cannot exceed 1.00.
  • When the District Employment FTE of Assignment field = Null, assume 0.0 in this field.
  • When multiple District Assignment records exist with the same Title standard code (JobFunction/OtherCodeList/OtherCode) for a staff member per school per school year, sum the FTE values of the active assignments.

The ‘Post’ trigger logic for the Discipline Actions, Discipline Incidents, and Student Discipline Incident Association resources has been updated to include students that have a resolution that occurs on the student's IEP's last day and/or first day. The ‘Post’ trigger logic has also been updated to include the ‘WI Imported Plan’ print format when a student has a behavior event that meets the criteria with a resolution of 'ISS'.

Wisconsin – Exclude from Ed-Fi Checkbox for Course Grading Task (SIS-140687)

An Exclude from Ed-Fi checkbox has been added to the Course Grading Task Detail and Course Master Grading Task Detail to allow districts to exclude a grading task from reporting to Ed-Fi.

The triggering logic for the Grades and Student Section Association resources has been updated to not report if the Exclude from Ed-FI checkbox has been marked on a grading task.

Districts using the new Exclude from Ed-Fi checkbox will need to perform a resync on the Grades and Student Section Association resources.

Blended Learning - Updates to Blended Learning Groups Incorrectly Updating Future Assignment End Dates (SIS-142047)

When a student has a future Blended Learning Group assignment and an update is made to current or past assignments, choosing to keep the future assignment caused it to be ended. This has been corrected. Choosing to keep the future assignment does not modify the end date.

Blended Learning - Group End Date Updates All Student Assignments to that Group (SIS-142139)

When a Blended Learning Group that automatically assigned students to it was end dated and new groups were created with a future start date, all students in that group were automatically end dates, even when they already had an end date. This has been corrected.

Blended Learning - Student Assignment Not Inheriting Existing End Date on Blended Learning Group (SIS-142147)

When a student was assigned to a Blended Learning Group that has an end date in the future, the student assignment did not inherit the group end date. This has been corrected.

Also note that a student's Group Assignment end date cannot be after the group end date.

Previously, teachers were unable to mark virtual participation for students who were enrolled in two sections in the same period if the student was listed last in the first section and first in the second section. This has been corrected.

Changes were made to ensure users could apply adjustments to fee assignments that were paid and refunded.

Transcripts

Transcripts - Course ID Replaces Course Number (SIS-142072)

When a district has a large amount of courses, adding a new record to the student's Transcript or modifying course values for a current Transcript record, the Course Number field incorrectly stored the Course ID value, and vice versa. This has been corrected.

Massachusetts – SIF StaffAssignment and EmploymentRecord Updates (SIS-140315)

The population requirement for the SIF StaffSectionAssignment object has been updated to the following:

  • Records associated with a Calendar marked with exclude or sifExclude or with a Staff Assignment that is marked with exclude or with a District Employment that is marked with exclude will not report.

The following updates were made to the SIF StaffAssignment object:

  • Reporting logic was updated to trigger a delete when the Exclude check box is checked on the StaffAssignment Object.
  • Reporting logic was updated to trigger an add when the Exclude check box is unchecked on the StaffAssignment Object.
  • New population requirements were added to not send StaffAssignment objects when the District Employment Exclude checkbox is checked.
  • Reporting logic was updated so that if more than 1 District Assignment exists for the same JobFunction/OtherCodeList/OtherCode (Title standard code) within the reported school year, report the earliest start date and the oldest end date from all assignments.
  • Logic for the JobStartDate element has been updated so that if more than one assignment exists for the same JobFunction/OtherCodeList/OtherCode (Title standard code) within the reported school year, the element will populate with the earliest start date from all assignments.
  • Logic for the JobEndDate element has been updated so that if more than one assignment exists for the same JobFunction/OtherCodeList/OtherCode (Title standard code) within the reported school year, the element will populate with the oldest end date from all assignments. If the end date is null, logic will consider that the oldest end date and report based on the end date of the calendar

The following updates were made to the SIF EmploymentRecord object:

  • Reporting logic was updated to trigger a delete when the Exclude checkbox is checked on the EmploymentRecord object.
  • Reporting logic was updated to trigger an add when the Exclude check box is unchecked on the EmploymentRecord Object.
  • Reporting logic was updated to report from the most recent District Employment record that was active based on the state reported date where Start Date <= the state reported date.
    • Report staff if the District Employment End Date is NULL or is >= the state reported date.
    • If the state reported date is not populated, use current date
  • Logic for the MAEmploymentStatus element has been updated to the following:
    • When District Employment End Date = Null or when District Employment End Date = NOT Null, AND is >= State Reported Date (If state reported date is not populated, use current date),
      • If state reported date is 10/1 and the 'Oct 1. Status Override' field is populated, report status value
      • If state reported date is end of school year and the 'EOY Status Override' field is populated, report status value
      • If 'Status' field is populated, report status value
      • If Status is Null, report 01.
    • When District Employment End Date = NOT Null, AND is <= State Reported Date (If state reported date is not populated, use current date), report 04.

Oklahoma – Standard Codes Added Admission Attributes (SIS-142149)

A Standard Code mapping has been added to each Admission attribute (Student Information > General > Enrollments > SIF Fields > Admission).

The SIF ResidencyStatus/Code and ResidencyStatus/OtherCodeList/OtherCode (Codeset = "StateProvince") elements have been updated to report the standard code of the Admission value selected. If Admission is null, the attribute Default Value is reported. If the Default Value is null, the element reports as null.

Localization - Massachusetts

Massachusetts – Virtual Day Attendance Override Added (SIS-141936)

A Virtual Day Event Override was added to Day > Type attribute. This field helps in attendance reporting for calendars where blended learning groups were not set up completely correct at the beginning of the school year. This option allows districts to count a calendar day as virtual for the district even if blended learning groups were not set up.

To properly report attendance for Virtual Day Override Events on calendars, the following SIF logic was modified:

  • StudentAttendanceSummary/DaysAttended
    • In Person is defined as a student who does not have a Blended Learning Group assigned to them or is in a Blended Learning Group that is not assigned to a Day Event on the Calendar or there is NOT a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.
  • StudentAttendanceSummary/ExcusedAbsences
    • In Person is defined as a student who does not have a Blended Learning Group assigned to them or is in a Blended Learning Group that is not assigned to a Day Event on the Calendar or there is NOT a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.
  • StudentAttendanceSummary/UnexcusedAbsences
    • In Person is defined as a student who does not have a Blended Learning Group assigned to them or is in a Blended Learning Group that is not assigned to a Day Event on the Calendar or there is NOT a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.
  • StudentAttendanceSummary/DaysAttendedRemote
    • To determine virtual, look at the blended learning group the student is in and the instructional days the blended learning group is added to the calendar as a day event OR there is a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.
  • StudentAttendanceSummary/DaysAbsentRemote
    • To determine virtual, look at the blended learning group the student is in and the instructional days the blended learning group is added to the calendar as a day event OR there is a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.

The following elements on the SIMS Extract have been updated to account for Virtual Day Override events:

  • daysInAttendance
    • A student is considered in-person if they are NOT in a blended learning group OR they are in a blended learning group where there is NOT a day event on that instructional day or there is NOT a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.
  • studentTruancy
    • A student is considered in-person if they are NOT in a blended learning group OR they are in a blended learning group where there is NOT a day event on that instructional day Or there is NOT a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.
  • daysAttendedRemote
    • To determine virtual, look at the blended learning group the student is in and the instructional days the blended learning group is added to the calendar as a day event OR there is a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.
      • If a student is not in a blended learning group and there is not the Virtual Override Day Event on the Calendar, report 0
  • daysAbsentRemote
    • To determine virtual, look at the blended learning group the student is in and the instructional days the blended learning group is added to the calendar as a day event OR there is a Virtual Day Override Event on the calendar.

The Status Start Date and Status End Date fields in the MARSS B extract have been updated to report the correct values.

Nebraska - Ed-Fi Section 504 Plans Error (SIS-141843)

An error was occurring on Section 504 Plans when resyncing data for the 2019-20 school year. This issue has been corrected.
