Single Apostrophe in Names Prevents Academic Plan Progress Report Generation (SIS-178441)

A single apostrophe in user group names or person names prevented the Academic Plan Progress report from being generated. This has been corrected.

Activity Registration

Field Trip Activity Updates (SIS-189921)

Field trips have been updated to better align with other activity types, and students are no longer automatically added to the roster when a field trip is created. Additional features have also been added:

  • Removed Students List
  • Transfers
  • Waitlist

Activity Registration & School Store Maintenance (SIS-192371)

The following updates have been made to the Activity Registration and School Store tools:

  • Resolved an issue with the View Removed button showing incorrectly in Activity Registration.
  • Resolved an issue with Document Upload in Activity Registration.

Assessments

Validations After Modifying Step 2 (SIS-191691)

Validations were updated to ensure proper step progression in the Assessment Center:

  • Steps 4 and 5 are now disabled after modifying Step 2.
  • Users must revisit Step 3 before accessing Steps 4 and 5.

The validation update applies to any changes made in Step 2, including:

  • File uploads
  • "Source File Includes Header"
  • "Which fields will map to student identifiers?"

Test Importer Performance Improvement (SIS-192115)

Implemented changes to optimize the speed and overall performance of the test import functionality in the Assessment Center.

Campus Instruction

Categories Redesign (SIS-178714)

The Categories tool has been updated to improve the visual design and accessibility of the tool. Functionality of this tool has not changed.

Classroom Context - All Years/All Schools (SIS-181960)

Previously, an error occurred when viewing Instruction tools with Classroom turned on when the context was set to All Years and All Schools. This has been corrected.

Curriculum - Other Sections (SIS-183142)

When an assignment is assigned to multiple sections, those sections are listed in the Other Sections area of the assignment. Logic has been updated so that when a teacher clicks a section in that area, the section context at the top of the screen is updated to that section.

Curriculum Copier Validation (SIS-186759)

The Curriculum Copier has been updated to restore previous logic when copying curriculum to a destination section that has no tasks/standards aligned, or no tasks/standards in common with the source section. In either of these scenarios, the assignments are now copied as Resources, with Grading toggled off.

Reassign to Student Issue (SIS-191960)

Previously, an error occurred when attempting to reassign a submission assignment to more than one student. This has been corrected.

Curriculum Term Dates (SIS-192226)

The Term filters in the Curriculum tool have been updated so that any curriculum that is in progress during the selected term is included in the list. For example, if an assignment has a Start Date in Term 1 and an End Date in Term 3, if the Curriculum List is filtered to Term 2, that assignment is included in the list.

Campus Learning

New! My Curriculum (SIS-186879)

A new tool called My Curriculum has been added to Instruction. This tool allows teachers to create folders, assignments, and resources outside of the context of a section. Teachers can build out curriculum, with content, quizzes, etc, and then add it to their sections later. From My Curriculum, teachers can add curriculum to individual or multiple sections at a time.

Benefits of My Curriculum:

  • Teachers don't have to worry about dates when creating curriculum. They can create the curriculum and then schedule it into sections later.
  • My Curriculum provides a workshop area where teachers don't have to switch between section contexts or worry about draft curriculum being visible to students.

The Enhanced Curriculum tool right grants access to My Curriculum. This tool does not currently allow teachers to add curriculum from their sections into My Curriculum, or from My Curriculum directly into the Curriculum Library, but these features will be available in the coming months.

The Curriculum Import, which is currently in a limited beta release, has been moved to the My Curriculum tool. Teachers with access to the Curriculum Import can import curriculum into My Curriculum and edit it prior to adding it to their sections and making it visible. To accommodate this new tool, the My Curriculum and Other Curriculum views in the Planner have been renamed to My Planner and Other Planners.

Matching and Ordering Quiz Questions (SIS-192129)

Matching and ordering quiz question types have been updated to include rich text editors for answer options, allowing teachers to enter images and formatted text.

Scoring Submissions - Submitted By (SIS-192174)

If a teacher clicks View Submissions in the submission scoring screen, a new Submitted By column in the table of submissions displays the name of the submitter if it was someone other than the student.

Opening Google Drive Files (SIS-192305)

As a result of a recent update, teachers, students, and parents were unable to open Google Drive files. This has been corrected.

Campus Student - Pinning Quiz Instructions (SIS-189914)

An option has been added for students taking quizzes that allows them to pin page-level Instructions to the top of the screen, so they can scroll through questions while keeping the Instructions visible.

Account Linking - Login as User (SIS-191133)

When Account Linking is enabled for a state, if an admin logs into a parent's account using the 'Login as User' feature, they did not see the Manage Districts tool for data privacy reasons. Logic has been updated so that admins can see the Manage Districts tool but not information about any linked accounts. This change gives admins a better understanding of what parents and students see.

Campus Student - File Attachments (SIS-191858)

Previously, students were unable to access files attached to assignments in the Andoird and iOS versions of the app. For Android devices, users could not open the file. For iOS devices, users could open the file but then could not close it. Both of these issues have been corrected.

Classroom Integrations

OneRoster Sequence Cache Refresh (SIS-191359)

The OneRoster sequence cache refresh logic has been updated to use the configured query timeout value when not set to the default time of 120 minutes.

OneRoster - DistrictID and Identity Records (SIS-191559)

OneRoster logic has been updated so that the districtID no longer needs to match the current district for identity records to return demographics data. The system instead relies on the currentIdentityID value of the Person record to return the correct identity. This change was made to address an issue with missing records.

OneRoster Performance Improvement (SIS-191671)

Optimized the query for retrieving user roles in OneRoster, significantly improving performance for large datasets. This change addressed timeout issues when accessing OneRoster users endpoint with various limits in school-scoped connections

OneRoster Cache - Class Code (SIS-192037)

The OneRoster cache has been updated to improve handling of null values.

OneRoster Connections - Identity Management and Secondary Email (SIS-192080)

The Digital Learning Applications Configuration tool has been updated so that if Identity Management is enabled for a connection, the option to Use Secondary Email will be disabled.

LTI 1.3 - Required Fields (SIS-192149)

The Digital Learning Applications Configuration tool has been updated so that all four URL fields are now required for LTI 1.3 connections.

Combine Person

Combine Person Wizard Erroring on State Edition (SIS-191430)

The Combine Person Wizard was erroring out on State Editions of Campus, preventing users from using the tool. This issue was corrected.

Cross-Site Enrollment

Cross-Site Enrollment - Interdistrict Functionality Available (SIS-192343)

Interdistrict functionality for Cross-Site Enrollment tools is now available for several states. Consult the Is Cross-Site Enrollment Available in My State? article to see if your state is on the list.

For states where the Interdistrict column is blank (e.g., not populated with Campus.2539), additional updates are needed before this functionality can be turned on and will be included in future releases.

With this update, additional tool rights were made available for the following:

  • School Connections
  • Cross-Site Enrollment Interdistrict Data Sync Log

Districts Incorrectly Allowed to Change Names of State-Published Custom Tools (SIS-191732)

For District Level Users:

  • When 'Reporting Period' EQUALS 'Unofficial,' multiple calendars/schools can be selected from the extract editor for report reviewing.
  • When 'Reporting Period' EQUALS 'Fall' or 'Spring', only one calendar/school can be selected from the extract editor for report generation, reviewing, and submission.

For State Level Users: Multiple calendars/schools can be selected from the extract editor for submission reviewing.

When multiple calendars are selected on the report editor, the report sorts in the following order:

  1. LEA Name
  2. School Name
  3. Course State ID
  4. Teacher Name

Logic for the Potential Dropout Extract Type has been updated for the following:

  • W4 and W6 students without graduation dates are now included in the report when they are marked as No Show.

  • The Prior Enrollment column has been renamed to Dropout Reporting School.
  • The School Name that displays in the Potential Dropout columns A-B has been removed.

North Carolina - Assessment Used field for Summer Education (SIS-192030)

The Assessment Used field on the Summer Education Program now allows for multiple assessments to be selected for a student. Previously, only one assessment could be selected.

North Carolina - PMR FATAL 13 Validation (SIS-192067)

Students who have never attended a school were included in the PMR Validation FATAL 13 list. This has been corrected.

Students are only included in the FATAL 13 validation when they are enrolled at the school that is generating the report and are enrolled multiple times with an Enrollment Status of E1.

North Carolina - FTE Report Calendar Selections at State Edition (SIS-192220)

The FTE Reports at the State Edition now display the calendars in the following order:

Ohio

Ohio HB410 Student Truancy Extract Update (SIS-184604)

The logic for reporting students on the HB410 Student Truancy Extract was updated to remove duplicate records when students change grade levels mid-year. When a student changes grades during the school year, only one record reports, reflecting the grade level of the student on the date the truancy record was triggered.

Ohio PreID Extract Updates (SIS-189650)

Pennsylvania Protected Identities PIMS Update (SIS-190764)
