Tool Search: Kindergarten Readiness
The Kindergarten Readiness Report provides a summary of each Kindergarten student's information, based on the fields selected on the Kindergarten Readiness tool. Data needs to be entered on the Kindergarten Readiness tool and the report needs to be generated within the first 60 days of the school year.

Report Logic
The report aggregates students by number of domains (options marked on the Kindergarten Readiness tool) and demographic data (student gender, eligibility, race/Ethnicity) for those students enrolled in State Grades 006: Half Day Kindergarten and 007: Full Day Kindergarten.
Students are first grouped by each Kindergarten Readiness domain:
- NONE - students without any domains selected
- PHYS - students with the Physical domain selected
- SOC - students with the Social-Emotional domain selected
- LANG - students with the Language domain selected
- COG - students with the Cognition domain selected
- MATH - students with the Math domain selected
- LIT - students with the Literacy domain selected
Students are then grouped by Gender, Eligibility, and Race/Ethnicity for each Kindergarten domain.

| Effective Date | This date is used to determine certain data eligibility. If a student has an enrollment start date that is after the entered effective date, a record is not reported for the student. If the student ends an enrollment prior to the effective date and the student has a Special Education Discipline Event, a record is reported for the student. The field is auto-populated with the current date, but can be changed by using the calendar icon to select a date or entering a new date in mmddyy format. |
| Report Using Legal Gender | When marked, the student's gender reports from the Protected Identity Information section on the student's Identities record. |
| Ad hoc Filter | Select a saved ad hoc filter to only include those students in the filter in the report, assuming those students meet the reporting logic and business rules of the report. |
| Format | Selection determines whether the extract generates in the CSV or HTML format. |
| Calendar Selection | At least one calendar needs to be selected in order to generate the report. Calendars can be selected by the active year, by school name or by year. Only calendars that include the State Grade levels of 006 and 007 are available for selection. When a calendar is selected in the Campus toolbar, that calendar is automatically selected for the extract IF that calendar includes the State Grade levels mentioned above. |
| Report Generation | The Student Layout extract can be generated immediately using the Generate Report button. Or, use the Submit to Batch button to select when the report is generated. See the Batch Queue article for more information on this functionality. |
Generate the Report
- Enter the desired Effective Date.
- Mark the Report using Legal Gender checkbox, if desired.
- If desired, select students from an existing Ad hoc Filter.
- Select the Format of the report.
- Select the Calendar(s) from which to report information.
- Click the Generate Extract button or use the Submit to Batch button. The report displays in the desired format.
