The SIRS Assessment Fact Extract reports all state-coded assessments taken by students within the selected calendar(s) and grade level(s).

Tip for Best Score Reporting

When your district would like to only report the highest grade when a student takes an exam more than once, set up two different versions of the exam in Campus. One exam should be mapped to an active value in the State Code dropdown list on the Test Setup > Test Detail editor. Do NOT map the other exam to an active State Code. The District/School/Counselor can then choose to capture the value initially in the state-mapped assessment and switch the exam to the non-state-mapped assessment if it is determined that a different exam's score should report.

This setup gives you the flexibility of deciding, on a case-by-case basis, whether to take advantage of the best score reporting rule.

Reporting Logic

Any NY Assessment (which also meets the other extract criteria for the report) with a value in the State Code field (Assessment > Test Setup > Tests > Test Detail > State Test > State Code) reports.

Only records where the student's Enrollment Start Date is less than or equal to the extract editor's Effective Date report.

Multiple Enrollments

When multiple Enrollments may report, a record reports from the Enrollment with the first Service Type listed below:
- P: Primary
- S: Partial
- N: Special Ed
When multiple Enrollments meet the previous requirement, the Enrollment with the most recent Start Date reports.
When multiple Enrollments meet the previous requirement, the Enrollment with the lowest Enrollment ID reports.

Students are NOT included when:

their Enrollment Start Status is 0055;
their enrollment record is marked as State Exclude;
their enrollment record is marked as No Show;
their Grade Level of enrollment is marked as State Exclude; or
their Calendar of enrollment is marked as State Exclude.

The following RCT assessments report numeric and alpha pass/fall scores:

The following RCT assessments only report numeric scores: RCT Writing - Jan, RCT Writing - Jun, RCT Writing - Aug.

The score reports from one of the following three locations based on which State Code is saved in the Assessment record: Scale Score, Raw Score, or Result Score. The score reports in Numeric Score (column 10).

All active State Code values report a record in the Assessment Fact extract. However, when they are not part of the current state code mapping in Campus, records report as follows:

Extract Editor

Field	Description
Extract Type	The SIRS Extract to run.
Effective Date	The date for which information reports.
Included State Grade Levels	Identifies the state grade levels to include in the report.
Format	The Format in which the report should generate. Options are State Format (CSV) and HTML. Use State Format for reporting information to the state and the other types for data review and verification.
Ad Hoc Filter	Selecting a filter limits the results to only those included in the filter.
Column Headers	Indicates whether Column Headers should be included in the report. This dropdown list applies to State Format (CSV).
Generate Extract/ Submit to Batch	Users have the option of submitting a report request to the batch queue by clicking Submit to Batch instead of immediately generating the report by clicking Generate Extract. The batch process allows larger reports to generate in the background without disrupting the use of Campus. Select Calendars	Identifies which Calendar(s) should be included in the report. Calendars can be sorted by active year, by school or by year.
