The Advanced Attendance and Appointments toolset is a custom tool and is only available to districts who purchase these tools. The Advanced Attendance and Appointments toolset is part of the Campus Workflow Suite.

Release notes provide the applicable personnel the ability to review enhancements, modifications and corrections included in a release pack prior to accepting an update. It is advised that users review the release notes carefully and alert appropriate district staff to changes in the product.

Advanced Attendance and Appointments Release Notes describe all changes included within the release pack which may impact users who use the Advanced Attendance and Appointments tools as add-on functionality to their existing student information system.

Advanced Attendance and Appointments Version 2.5.44 (10/31/2025)

Please note that a Campus Workflow release coming in December will change the default attendance posting logic for the Check In/Out Scanner and Absence Requests (which also indirectly affects the Check In/Out Kiosk). Ensure staff are prepared to review these changes at that time so they understand how the system will behave going forward.

Enhancements

Added the ability for districts to set school wide limits for hall pass types. (CDP-3063)
Added a new column to the Hall Pass table for Created by PersonID, which will track the personID of who created the pass. If it was created by a staff member, their personID will be listed. If it was created by a scanner, 0 will be listed. (CDP-3482)
Added a new Hall Pass History Report that specifically reports on Hall Pass information. Revamped the Scan History Report to add more search functionality, information, and remove any Hall Pass information. Deprecated the Student Scan History Report as you can now find all the same info for individual students in the Scan History Report. (CDP-3895)
Changed Hall Passes to be School Scoped instead of Calendar Scoped. This allows districts who have a school that has multiple calendars to have one set of hall passes to use, rather than needing to setup multiple sets for the same school. This also allows them to see all hall passes for that school without needing to jump between contexts and allows restriction groups to work across calendars within the same school.
- Districts that only have 1 calendar per school each year will see no change in their functionality.
- Districts that have a school with multiple calendars will see all hall passes from those calendars in one singular Hall Pass Settings tool for that particular school, with passes from each calendar being labeled with the Calendar Name it came from. Districts will need to determine which passes they want to keep using and rename them to whatever they like, while deactivating the passes they no longer wish to use. (CDP-3928)
Added a literal above the upload button in Absence Requests to warn parents about uploading Personally Identifiable Information. (CDP-4255)
Added an error message to the Mass Assign Alternate ID tool that warns the user when they try to import a file with a person ID that doesn't have a student ID associated with it in Infinite Campus. (CDP-4258)
Added warning/landing screen for the Check In/Out Manned Scanner to let users know when the tool will work (i.e. it only works during the school's period schedule). Also added a validation on Absence Requests that prevents a request from being processed when the request has an arrival time or departure time outside of the school's period schedule. This is simply providing visibility into the attendance posting logic that is already in place, but wasn't communicated to users. (CDP-4345)
