Activity Registration - Links to Campus Student/Parent (SIS-156054)

Links in Activity Registration to documents in Campus Student/Parent have been updated to be read as links by screen readers.

Activity Registration - Maintenance Fixes (SIS-158367)

The following updates have been made to the Activity Registration tool:

  • The table tool in the WYSIWYG editor was resulting in layout issues, so the table tool has been disabled.
  • Previously, if additional schools were added to an activity, the display of Step 4 of the builder was incorrectly formatted. This has been corrected.
  • A status message now displays in the Activity Roster when optional forms have been opened in Campus Student/Parent.
  • Previously, submitting a Preapproval resulted in an error upon save. This has been corrected.
  • A label has been added to the set of pill boxes in the Activity Monitor and toggle buttons have been updated to improve accessibility.
  • The Description field now displays on a proposed activity if a Description was not added when the activity was created.

Ad hoc Reporting

Security Email Address Information Now Accessible Within Ad Hoc Reporting (SIS-158620) [Enhancement] 

Administrators can now view and access user account Security Email Addresses via the usage.securityEmail field in Ad Hoc Reporting (Census/Staff > Campus Usage > User Account/Summary > securityEmail). By making this information available, administrators can now help users troubleshoot account issues, particularly those who have forgotten their Security Email Address.

Assessments

Assessments User Security (SIS-156958) [Enhancement] 

The ability to mark a test as 'RESTRICTED' has been added. This functionality limits the visibility of the assessment information to designated user groups:

  • User Groups with READ-ONLY access to this Test
  • User Groups with READ/WRITE access to this Test

At least one user group must be selected to save the assessment when it is marked as restricted. The results of 'RESTRICTED' tests are not visible on the Student Assessment tab.

Publish Test Tool (SIS-158494) [Enhancement] 

A new Publish Test tool has been added to the Assessment Center. The tool incorporates the New Look of Campus and allows State Edition users to:

  • Publish Test Structures and Test Scores to selected districts
  • View the publishing history of a test

The option to publish test structures and scores using the functionality under the Test Setup tool will remain for the time being.

Campus Instruction

Category Weights in Reports (SIS-110460)

Previously, category weights did not display correctly in reports if the weights were set as decimals. This has been corrected.

Student Details - Emergency Contacts (SIS-154612) [Enhancement] 

The Student Detail modal, which displays in various areas of Instruction when a user clicks a student's name, has been updated to sort student Contacts in order by Emergency Priority and to display the priority ranking of the contact.

Using Multi-Score (SIS-158819)

Previously, if an assignment had multiple alignments that were assigned to different terms and had different Term Masks, the multi-score view would not open to score those assignments. This has been corrected.

Campus Learning

SameGoal Integration (SIS-152449) [Enhancement] 

Ohio customers who use SameGoal to manage special education documents can now integrate those documents with Campus. SameGoal connections are managed in Digital Learning Applications Configuration/Learning Interoperability, where connections to OneRoster, Vertical Reporting, and LTI 1.3 are required. Users must also create a Flag in Flags Setup that is marked as Flagged and Special Ed.

Once setup is complete, students with documents in SameGoal will have a special ed flag display in the student header and Roster. When users click this flag, a modal opens with the option to open the student's special ed document. Relevant Ohio state reports have been updated to report based on SameGoal documents. Assignments with Multiple Scores (SIS-156631)

Previously, if a student received a score on an assignment in a section that they had dropped and re-added, the assignment would display as having Multiple Scores in Campus Student. This has been corrected.

Census Wizard - Legal Description Length (SIS-107619)

When the Legal Description of an address is multiple lines, the Census Wizard returned an error message when a user attempted to select a household, an address or any member of the household. This has been corrected.

Custom

Users Able to Create Attribute/Dictionary Codes with Character Number Exceeding Attribute Max Length (SIS-147426)

A bug was allowing attribute codes to be created which were more characters than the Max Length allowed for the attribute. This issue was then generating an error when users attempted to select a code exceeding the max length. This issue was corrected.

Users Unable to Navigate to Tool Mapping Linked to a Custom Tool via Custom Tool Placement Editor (SIS-152243)

Users were unable to navigate and use custom tools placed within the navigation via a Tool Mapping within the Custom Tool Placement Editor. This issue was corrected.

Teacher Max File Setting Overriding CDR Max File Size Preference (SIS-158749)

Sites with an old, no longer in use Teacher Max File Size preference value existing in their database were incorrectly having this value override the CDR Max File Size value, preventing users from setting setting this value. This issue was corrected.

A bug was causing the SIF SectionMarkInfo object to generate a failed response error, preventing the completion of a successful SIF data transfer. This issue was corrected.

When the State Exclude attribute in the Attribute/Dictionary was marked as Hide, the field was still displaying on the Enrollment record. This has been corrected.

Enrollment Editors - Enrollment ID Display (SIS-158186) [Enhancement] 

The General Enrollment Editor now shows the Enrollment ID number and a Rolled from Enrollment ID value. Both of these are read-only fields.

  • The Enrollment ID is for informational purposes only.
  • The Rolled From Enrollment ID displays the identification number of the enrollment record from which the enrollment was rolled forward and only displays when the enrollment was created using the Enrollment Roll Forward tool.

Fees

Fees - Student and Household Fee Max Adjustment (SIS-158516)

When a student has both a student fee max adjustment and a household fee max adjustment, the amount of the household fee max adjustment is reduced by the amount of the student fee max adjustment amount, resulting in and incorrect Fee Balance Total. This has been corrected.

Income Eligibility Guidelines (SIS-154017) [Enhancement] 

The Income Guide tool has been renamed to Income Eligibility Guidelines. This tool now displays with the active school year automatically selected. The ability to export an Excel spreadsheet of the information displayed on the Free tab or the Reduced tab has also been added.

California - CALPADS SENR Upload Process (SIS-157256)

The CALPADS SENR Extract has been modified to allow the sending of new enrollments (add) and ended enrollments (update) in separate files.

A new Reporting Method option has been added. Choosing Traditional sends the add/update information in one file; choosing Transactional separates the Add and Update transactions into separate files. Replace transactions remain in one file.

An Update Based On field has also been added to the editor. This determines how enrollments are determined to be included - either by Modified Date or by Enrollment End Date.

Transactional Reporting Method works as follows:

  • Add files are any enrollments that have a Start Date AFTER the Previous Submission Date and BEFORE OR EQUAL TO the Reporting Date.
  • Update files are any enrollments with a Modified Date that is AFTER the Previous Submission Date and BEFORE OR EQUAL TO the Reporting Date, or any enrollments with an Enrollment End Date that is AFTER the Previous Submission Date and BEFORE OR EQUAL TO the Reporting Date.

California - TK Students and Monthly Attendance Summary, Monthly Attendance Register (SIS-158586)

  • on the Conference Announcement editor, the Meeting Location column now pulls in both the Scheduled Conference Location dropdown value selected on the Detail Screen and the Conference Location (specify) text field if both values exist. The values in the Role field on the Detail screen have been updated to include Guardian and Student (this is a locked Attribute in the Attribute Dictionary). Kentucky – State Seal Information Updates (SIS-158537) [Enhancement] 

The following conditional logic has been applied to the State Seal Information section of the Graduation and Academic Programs tabs:

  • If Blank/Null is selected for 'State Seal', then the 'Type' and 'Language' dropdown boxes are disabled (greyed out, cannot select any value from it) and any prior value is removed.
  • If 01: Seal of Biliteracy is selected for 'State Seal', then the 'Type' dropdown box is disabled (greyed out, cannot select any value from it) and any prior value is removed.
  • If 02: Seal of Art Excellence is selected for 'State Seal', then the 'Language' dropdown box is disabled (greyed out, cannot select any value from it) and any prior value is removed.

Also, the following error messages were removed from the Graduation and Academic Programs tabs as they can no longer be encountered with updated conditional logic:

Kentucky Private School Service Plan Fix (SIS-158641)

Previously, users were receiving an error message if they did NOT use the "Get Disability from Evaluation" button on the Enrollment Status editor. This error had to do with creating a PSSP for preschoolers, which is not allowed. Logic on the PSSP has been updated that when creating a PSSP for a student, the student's grade level is considered to prevent the creation of PSSP's for preschoolers.

The September 30th Attendance and Enrollment report includes two new data elements:

  • 'Pre-K Tier Status': The Pre-K tier that best indicates a student’s Federal poverty level eligibility for State Financial Assistance.
    • 0 – N/A
    • 1 – Tier 1 - Federal Poverty Level is less than or equal to 300%.
    • 2 – Tier 2 - Federal Poverty Level is more than 300% but not more than 600%.
    • 3 – Tier 3 - Federal Poverty Level is more than 600%.
  • 'Federal Poverty Level': The calculated percentage of Federal Poverty Level
    • Gross Income / 100% FPL for the # of Household Members x 100

Calculations are based on the values documented on the student's Early Learning record (Student Information > Program Participation > Early Learning > Gross Income AND Number of People in Household).

Michigan - 10/30 Report Updates (SIS-157158)

A new Format type has been added to the 10/30 extracts called Course/Section Extract. For this format, students report if they hare absent on the Count Date, as long as a State Code is selected for their attendance record. Additionally, the Ignore Period Schedules checkbox has been updated to only display if the Format selected is Elementary or Secondary.

Logic on the Special Ed Student Template has been updated to match the PIMS Student Snapshot Template:

  • For District Entry Date, the report first looks at the student's current or most recent enrollment within report generation dates. If a District Start Date is populated, that date reports. If null, then the reports looks at the most recent Enrollment in all the student's enrollment history in any school where Enrollment Local End Status with State End Status Code Mapping is one of the following codes = WD01, WD02, WD03, WD04, WD09 (System Administration > Enrollment > End Status Type) and report the next Enrollment Start Date that is after the enrollment with those end status(es). If that is null, the earliest Enrollment Start Date in any school reports.
  • For School Entry Date, the report first looks at the student's current or most recent enrollment within report generation dates. If a School Start Date is populated, that date reports. If null, then the reports looks at the most recent Enrollment within the same school where Enrollment Local End Status with State End Status Code Mapping is one of the following codes = WD01, WD02, WD03, WD04, WD09 (System Administration > Enrollment > End Status) and report the next Enrollment Start Date that is after the enrollment with those end status(es). A new district, Mecklenburg County Public Schools, is now live in the state of Virginia. The following codes and descriptions have been added to the Attribute/Dictionary (Responsible Division-School, Resident District, and Serving Division-School) for the district:
