This video gives a brief run-through of how staff can use the Early Warning tool to assess student risk levels and determine who may benefit from additional assistance or intervention to increase their likelihood of successfully completing high school.
Predictive analysis relies on information from the District to properly evaluate a student's position. Predictions improve over time as more data is gathered and compared. Districts on their first year with Campus will see a notification to this effect in their Early Warning tool that will disappear when the district begins their second year with Campus and the available data pool increases.
Notable Updates:
As part of the modeling process, features of the model are re-evaluated and re-assessed. Those with a very low predictability are adjusted or removed. The following features have been removed from the model and are no longer considered in the calculation of Student GRAD scores:
- Student Race/Ethnicity
- Student Gender
- Student Birth Country
Note: This is a centrally-hosted service and is not dependent on Districts taking an updated Campus Version Release to benefit from the new prediction calculations.
