This association indicates the course sections to which a staff is assigned.

Object Triggering Logic

This table describes logic for triggering syncing of this object.

Post

When a staff is added to a course section on Staff History.

  • Must have a Staff Type of P: Primary Teacher or T: Teacher in the Section Staff History Table.
  • Does not send records when the Calendar Exclude check box is checked.
  • Does not send a record when the Course is marked Inactive or Exclude from State Reporting.

    • Does not send a record when an active teacher does not have any sections due to the exclude on the course.

  • Must have a role mapped to an Ed-Fi code populated to report.
  • Does not report a record when the Staff does not have an Ed-Fi ID.
  • Does not report when the course is in a school marked as exclude.
  • Does not report a record when the Staff's District Assignment record for the reporting School does not overlap the scope year the section is aligned to.
  • Records only send for sections in which staff have an overlapping section staff history record:

    • Posts only for session names where the start date of the term is on or before the section staff history end date or the section staff history end date is null.
    • Posts only for session names where the end date of the term is on or after the section staff history start date or the section staff history start date is null.
PostWhen a Role mapped to an Ed-Fi code is added to an existing teacher on the Staff History Record.
Put

When Start or End dates are modified on the Staff History.

Post/Delete

When the start or end dates are modified on the District Assignment record or the District Assignment record is deleted or added and the staff is still aligned to the section.

DeleteWhen a staff member is deleted from Staff History.
DeleteWhen a Role is removed from a Teacher on Staff History

School Exclude, Calendar Exclude, Resource Toggle and Resync Logic

This table describes the School Exclude, Calendar Exclude, Resource Toggle and Resync logic of this object.

NoneWhen a resource is toggled to OFF after data has sent, all sent data remains in the ODS but no new data sends.
ResyncWhen a record is in the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table and not in the ODS, it is deleted from the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table.
ResyncWhen a record is in the ODS and it does not have a matching record in Campus or the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table, it is deleted from the ODS.
ResyncWhen a mapping is changed in Resource Preferences, a resync needs to be done to reflect the changes.

Teacher Override: Course and section
  • Course, When field on course is populated, report this number a staff reference and teacher of record.
  • Section, when this field is populated, report this number as staff reference and teacher of record. Section overrides course and Staff History.

Report the Staff History Start date when populated.

When blank, the Assignment Start Date reports from the District Assignment record for the teacher for that School when it is on or after the lowest Term Start Date and on or before the highest Term End Date for that section that is associated with the term descriptor selected for the section based on section schedule placement.


When District Assignment Start Date is prior to the lowest Term Start Date, the lowest Term Start Date for that section that is associated with the term descriptor selected for the section based on section schedule placement reports.


When the teacher has more than one District Assignment record that overlaps the section, the Start Date from the most recent District Assignment record when it is on or after the lowest Term Start Date and on or before the highest Term End Date for that section that is associated with the term descriptor selected for the section based on section schedule placement reports.


When the District Assignment Start Date is prior to the lowest Term Start date, the lowest term Start date for that section that is associated with the term descriptor selected for the section based on section schedule placement reports.

One record reports per course section for teachers with a role of Teacher of Record with the following priority:

  • reports primary teachers assigned as a Teacher of Record or primary teacher with no role assigned (role is blank), then,
  • reports non-primary teachers assigned as Teacher of Record. When there are multiple teachers, the newest teacher reports.

For all other roles, the Ed-Fi Code value from the role selected reports.
