STAAR EOC (PreCode Extracts) (Texas)

Tool Search: Precode Extract

The purpose of the STAAR End of Course (EOC) assessments is to measure students' academic performance in core high school courses, serve as part of the graduation requirements, and aid in measuring college readiness and the need for developmental coursework in higher education. Students first enrolled in grade 9 or below in the school year must take the STAAR EOC assessments for courses they are enrolled in as part of their graduation requirements, not the TAKS assessments.

STAAR EOC Assessments are available for Algebra I and II, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English I, II and III, World Geography, World History, and U.S. History. A student's score on each EOC assessment will be worth 15% of the student's final grade for that course.

  • Students who are actively enrolled on the Effective Date entered in the report editor and enrolled in a high school course for which a STAAR EOC assessment is required for graduation will be included in the report.
    • Multiple records report for each appropriate course.
    • One line reports for each subject in which the student is enrolled.
  • Students will be included in the report if their End of Course Code and the State Override Code on any Course's Roster Batch matches the State Code selected in the extract editor.
  • If a student has one active enrollment on the Effective Date and has a Service Type of N: Special Ed Services OR S: Partial, that enrollment reports.
    • If more than one active enrollment exists for a student, only the P: Primary enrollment reports.
  • Students, Grade Levels, or Calendars marked "State Exclude" do not appear in the report.
  • Students with no State ID or who are marked as "No Show" do not report.
  • Only active enrollments are reported. Students must be enrolled in a high school course that requires a STAAR EOC assessment for graduation, but they do not need to be enrolled at a high school grade level.
  • Courses with the State Report Exclude option selected do NOT report.
  • Any missing or not applicable data is reported as spaces/blanks.
