STAAR EOC (PreCode Extracts) (Texas)

Classic View: TX State Reporting > PreCode Extracts > STAAR EOC

Search Terms: STAAR EOC, Precode Extract

The purpose of the STAAR End of Course (EOC) assessments is to measure students' academic performance in core high school courses and to serve as part of the graduation requirements, as well as aid in measuring college readiness and the need for developmental coursework in higher education. Students first enrolled in grade 9 or below in the school year will be required to take the STAAR EOC assessments for courses in which they are enrolled as part of their graduation requirements and not the TAKS assessments.

STAAR EOC Assessments are available for Algebra I and II, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English I, II and III, World Geography, World History and U.S. History. The score a student achieves on each EOC assessment will be worth 15% of the student's final grade for that course.

Report Logic

  • Students who are actively enrolled on the Effective Date entered in the report editor and enrolled in a high school course for which a STAAR EOC assessment is required for graduation will be included in the report.
    • Multiple records report for each appropriate course.
    • One line reports for each subject in which the student is enrolled.
  • Students will be included in the report if their End of Course Code and the State Override Code on any Course's Roster Batch matches the State Code selected in the extract editor.
  • If a student has one enrollment that is active on the Effective Date and it has a Service Type of N: Special Ed Services OR S: Partial, that enrollment reports.
    • If more than one active enrollment exists for a student, only the P: Primary enrollment reports.
  • Students, Grade Levels or Calendars marked "State Exclude" do not appear in the report.
  • Students with no State ID or who are marked as "No Show" do not report.
  • Only active enrollments report. Students must be enrolled in a High School course which has a STAAR EOC assessment required for graduation, but students do not need to be enrolled in a high school grade level.
  • Courses with the State Report Exclude option selected on the Courses tab (Scheduling > Courses > Course) do NOT report.
  • Any data that is missing or not applicable report as spaces/blanks.
