A few districts have shared feedback regarding the planned deprecation of the legacy Staff Processing screen, originally scheduled for June 30th. In response to this input, we’ve decided to extend the availability of the legacy interface through late 2025. This extension will allow districts additional time to transition to the new Application Processing UI.
Original Cutover Plan
Our initial plan was to fully transition both the legacy parent application UI and the legacy application processing screens in alignment with the retirement of the Classic Infinite Campus interface at the end of June. We also planned to release the WYSIWYG editor for OLR Literals at that time.
However, feedback from a small group of users, particularly district staff involved in Application Processing, highlighted concerns about limited time for training prior to peak processing season.
Updated Rollout Plan
In response, we are adjusting our rollout timeline to better support district readiness.
By June 30, 2025:
- The "Enable New Application" checkbox will be removed, and all configurations will default to the new UI. Since 99% of districts have already transitioned, this change is expected to have minimal impact.
- The WYSIWYG Editor for OLR Literals will be deployed. While most existing HTML content should transfer over without issue, some districts may need to make minor adjustments.
- The "Enable New Application Processing" setting will remain optional, allowing districts to choose when to transition. Full deprecation is now scheduled for late 2025.
OLR System Settings
Enable New Application
This setting enables the updated parent-facing application UI. It has been available for about a year, and most districts have already transitioned to it. Starting with the 2025–26 school year, this setting is now required for all OLR configurations.
Enable New Application Processing
Released in mid-April 2025, this setting allows staff to access the redesigned Application Processing screen.
Important Notice
Once the WYSIWYG editor is deployed, districts that have not transitioned to the new Application Processing screens may experience display issues. Specifically, staff using the old interface will see raw HTML tags when viewing application data outside the main review screen. Parents, however, will not encounter these tags, as they submit data through the updated parent UI.
To ensure a seamless experience and prevent confusion, we strongly recommend that districts transition to the new Application Processing screens as soon as possible. Additionally, if HTML tags appear in the new Parent Application, districts will need to remove any custom HTML and instead use the WYSIWYG editor as intended.
