What devices can I use to run POS 2.0?
  • POS-X terminals: TP6, TP5 and TP4
  • Windows 10 laptop
  • Surface Pro tablet
  • POS-X Ion tablet (scanner in keyboard wedge mode)

Physical keyboards can no longer be used to search for patrons. Instead, only the touchscreen can be used. 

Can I use my existing cash drawer?Yes, you can use the same Campus supported cash drawers for POS 2.0. 
Can I use my existing PIN entry device? POS 2.0 currently supports Genovation PIN Pads and POS-X Evo 2d scanner for PIN entry.

Any PIN pad that is in keyboard wedge mode (typical keyboard input) is supported.

Can I log into Campus today and just start using POS 2.0?No, Campus Support needs to enable POS 2.0 on your site. See the POS 2.0 Migration Checklist for more information.
Can I use my current applications and layout?No. You need to create new applications, designated as enhanced, for use on POS 2.0. You also need to create the services and layouts. The Copy Layout Wizard is a quick and easy way to convert existing layouts to work with POS 2.0. After using the Copy Layout Wizard,  be sure to validate the application is the correct size on your terminal and make any necessary adjustments. Can I run Current POS and POS 2.0 on the same terminal?Yes. As long as the terminal names are unique.
Are there different reports for current POS and POS 2.0?No. All current reports will continue to work as they do today regardless of which POS version is used for capturing transactions.
Can I hide a patron’s eligibility indicator on the terminal?Yes, the same POS preference regarding hiding eligibility indicator as well as showing actual purchasable amount is still available.
Can POS 2.0 run offline?Yes, it works as it does today. When the terminal is back online, the terminal and Campus data is synced.
