This association represents the school food services program(s), such as the Free or Reduced Lunch Program, that a student participates in or from which the Student receives services.

Object Triggering Logic

This table describes logic for triggering syncing of this object.

ActionTrigger
Post

When a new enrollment with a distinct start date and State Enrollment Type of Primary is created.

  • If the student has a FRAM record that overlaps the enrollment, the record will post using that records data.
  • If the student does not have a FRAM record that overlaps the enrollment, the record will post using the enrollment Start and End Dates.
  • If the student has more than one State Enrollment Type that is Primary, the student getf a record for each enrollment in each school.
  • Do not send a record if enrollment is in a calendar marked as Exclude.
  • Do not send a student record for an enrollment that is marked as State Exclude, No Show, or WISE Exclude.
Delete/Post

When any field part of the natural key is changed.

Put

When any field not part of the natural key is changed.

  • End Date
  • Eligibility
DeleteAll enrollments are deleted for a student.
DeleteIf the student's enrollment is marked as State Exclude, No Show, or WISE Exclude.
DeleteIf the Eligibility record is deleted.
DeleteIf the start /end dates on the Eligibility record are updated so the record no longer overlaps the configured year.

School Exclude, Calendar Exclude, Resource Toggle and Resync Logic

This table describes the School Exclude, Calendar Exclude, Resource Toggle and Resync logic of this object.

NoneIf a resource is toggled to 'OFF' after data has sent, all sent data will remain in the ODS but no new data will send.
ResyncIf a record is in the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table and not in the ODS, it will be deleted from the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table.
ResyncIf a record is in the ODS and it does not have a matching record in Campus or the Ed-Fi Identity Mapping table, it will be deleted from the ODS.
ResyncIf a mapping is changed in Resource Preferences, a resync will need to be done to reflect the changes.

Natural Key changes:

  • LEA Reference - District Numbers cannot change after data has been sent.  If a district number changes, we would expect an Ed-Fi error and this change would not be supported.
  • If an Ed-Fi ID changes, a delete/post will occur with the cascading deletes from the Ed-Fi ID Change triggers.
  • If the Program Name or Program Type Descriptor mapping changes and a resync is completed.
  •  If the Eligibility record Start Date changes the resource will delete/repost..
DeleteCascading Deletes:  N/A - no dependent resources.


Scope Year Logic

This table describes scope year logic of this object.

Logic

The record will send to the configured year that the School Year from the Eligibility record aligns to if the student has an enrollment in that year.

Data will only send for the years that have valid configuration.

  1. Report the start of eligibility record.

  3. If there is no FRAM Eligibility record, report the enrollment start date.
  4. If a FRAM Eligibility has ended and there is no new FRAM record, but still an active enrollment, report the day after the FRAM record.

  1. Report the end date of the FRAM Eligibility record.
    • If the eligibility end date is prior to the end of the enrollment, report the enrollment end date.
      • If the enrollment end date is after the last instructional day for the calendar of the enrollment, report the last instructional day.
    • If the student has more than 1 enrollment, report the date from the Primary enrollment.
      • If the end date is after the last instructional day of the calendar, report the last instructional day.
  2. If there is no eligibility record associated with the SSFSPA record, send a default record and report the earliest of:
    • Enrollment end date if it is before the last instructional day of the calendar of enrollment.
      • If enrollment end date is null, report the last instructional day.
    • The day before a new FRAM record's start date if it is before the last instructional day for the calendar of enrollment.

  2. If the School is not CEP or the CEP provision window is not active during the student's enrollment, report the value mapped to the student's Eligibility record value.
  3. Otherwise, If the student has no Eligibility record, report the following:
    1. If Unknown FRAM Eligibility is checked on the student's most recent Enrollment, report "Unknown".
    2. If Unknown FRAM Eligibility is not checked on the student's most recent Enrollment, report "Full Price Lunch".
