Action	Trigger
POST	Guardian checkbox is marked on the Relationships tool. The guardian does NOT have to be a member of the same household as the student to report. Ed-Fi does not have relationship start or end dates, if a relationship is started anytime within a school year, the record will be added for that year. Start Date must be blank or on or before school year end date defined in the School Years editor. End Date must be blank or after school year end date defined in the School Years editor. Report the person from the related pair that does not have a prior year enrollment for the Parent Reference and the person that has prior year enrollment in Grades 07-12 that has exited the district and does not have an enrollment in the current year as the student reference. If the student is a guardian of themselves (emancipated) then report the student as both the Parent and the Student. If both people have a prior year enrollment, report the person with the higher age as the Parent. If age cannot be determined, do not report a record. An enrollment is considered 'exited' if End Status and End Date = NOT NULL. If more than one prior year enrollment exists use the most recent to determine if student has exited. A record will not send if the student they are associated with has an enrollment in a calendar or school marked as Exclude. A record will not send if the student enrollment is marked as No Show or State Exclude.
POST	Reports students in Grades 07-12 from prior year calendars that have exited the district and do not have an enrollment in the current year. Prior year is determined by the Ed-Fi configuration year Student's prior year enrollment must have an End Date and End Status = NOT NULL. If more than one prior year enrollment exists use the most recent to determine if student has exited. Do not send records if the Calendar Exclude checkbox is marked in the calendar the student is enrolled. Do not send records if the School Exclude checkbox is marked in the calendar the student is enrolled. Do not send a record if the State Exclude or No Show checkbox is marked on enrollment.
PUT	When any field not part of the natural key is changed. Relationship Emergency Contact Status If the parent or student is removed from the household.
DELETE	When the Guardian check box is unchecked, relationship is end dated or deleted. Ed-Fi does not have relationship start or end dates, if a relationship is ended within a school year, the record will be deleted for that year. End Date must be blank or after school year end date defined in the School Years editor. Records will delete when a student has only one Student School Association record for a specific School and Year for which that that record is deleted. Note: If a new Student School Association record is created, existing records will not re-post, a resync must be completed to resend the data.
DELETE	Prior year enrollment's End Status or End Date is removed. An enrollment is created in the current year for the student.
