Kansas Homeless

Tool Search: Homeless

The Homeless tab records basic homeless information as well as district-defined fields. The list of homeless records is sorted by Start Date.

Homeless status can be assigned to a student at any point of the enrollment period. If a student is determined Homeless at any point in the school year, the student will report as Homeless for the entire enrollment period. The amount of time the student is deemed homeless is not considered.

See the core Homeless article for information on necessary tool rights, available Ad hoc fields, and guidance on adding and printing Homeless records.

Data Conversion from Enrollment Records

As of the Campus.2227 Release Pack (July 2022), the Homeless field on the Enrollment record is READ ONLY.

For enrollments in the 2022-23 school year, a Homeless record has been created with a start date of July 1, 2022 for those students who have the Homeless field marked on their Enrollment record. The following defines the conversion that was done for these students.

When multiple enrollments exist for a student in which the Homeless field is populated, the enrollment with the earliest start date is used for the conversion.
