Health vaccines and their associated compliance listings are based on state guidelines. While Infinite Campus maintains standard guidelines for all states, districts have the ability to enter additional compliances. The following information describes vaccine compliance rules as defined by the California Department of Health.

General Compliance

  • Vaccine doses administered less than or equal to 4 days before the minimum interval or age are considered valid.
  • Doses administered 5 days before the minimum interval or age are not considered valid and must be repeated as age-appropriate.

Hepatitis B

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are not yet enrolled in grades 00-12 (Active End Date: 6/30/19):

  • Students who are less than 1 month old are not required to receive any doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine. 
  • Students age 2-3 months old are required to receive 1 dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
  • Students age 4-17 months old are required to receive 2 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
  • Students age 18 months old or older are required to receive 3 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine.

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are enrolled in grades 00-12.

Enrolled after age 4-6 

No Requirement  

The student does not need any doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine if the student is enrolled after age 4-6.

age <2m 

No Requirement  

The student does not need any doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine if the student is less than 2 months old.

18+ yrs 

No Requirement  

The student does not need any doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine if the student is older than 216 months (18 years) old.

3 doses

Compliant 

The student is considered compliant when the student receives 3 doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine.

2 doses

Compliant 

Active End Date: 6/30/19
 

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B - 2 Dose (Hep B - 2 Dose) vaccine,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 132 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the second dose and the student's birthdate is less than 191 months with a 4 day tolerance.

2 doses 4-17 months 

Compliant  

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 4 months old and no older than 17 months old, and
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine.

1 dose 2-3 months 

Compliant  

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 2 months old and no older than 3 months old, and
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine.

dose 2 - dose 3, age >= 18m 

In Process  

Active Start Date: 07/01/19

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 18 months old,
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

dose 2 - dose 3, age >= 18m

Active End Date: 6/30/19

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 18 months old,
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than 5 months with a 1 day tolerance.

In Process  

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal 1 month with a 4 day tolerance.

1 dose of Hep B-2 

In Process  

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is no older than 191 months old,
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Hepatitis B - 2 Dose (Hep B - 2 Dose) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than 132 months with a 4 day tolerance.

If a student is enrolled and does not have enough doses for their age/grade:

  • Student is non-compliant if they do not have their first needed dose.
  • If a student does not have enough doses and these are not true, the student is non-compliant.

Tdap

Students in state grades 07-12 are required to receive 1 dose of the DTaP,DTP or Tdap vaccine to be considered compliant. The difference between the dose and the student's birthdate must be greater than or equal to 84 months (7 years) with a 4 day tolerance.

Polio

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are not yet enrolled in grades 00-12.

  • No requirement for ages 0-1 months
  • 1 dose required for ages 2-3 months
  • 2 doses required for ages 4-14 months
  • 3 doses required for ages 15 months and older

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are enrolled in grades 00-12.

Dose

4 doses 

Compliant 

The student is considered compliant if the student receives four doses of the IPV, OPV or IPV/OPV Polio vaccine.

3 doses TK and K 

Compliant 

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is in Grade PK, TK, KN,
  • the student is in State Grade KN, PS, and
  • the student receives three doses of the IPV, OPV or IPV/OPV Polio vaccine, and
  • the difference between the third dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 24 months with a 4 day tolerance.

 No Requirement 

The student is not required to receive any doses of the Polio vaccine if they are 216 months (18 years) old or older.

When a student is not compliant but has met the following requirements, the student is considered to be IN PROCESS.

DoseRequirements

dose 1 not in K-12 

  • The student receives one dose of the IPV, OPV or IPV/OPV vaccine,
  • the student is in grade P-3 or P-4, and
  • the difference between the dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 56 days with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

dose 2 not in K-12

  • The student receives two doses of the IPV, OPV or IPV/OPV vaccine,
  • the student is in grade P-3 or P-4, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 12 months.

dose 1 - dose 2 

  • The student is at least 48 months, but is no older than 215 months,
  • the student is in State Grade TK, KN-12,
  • the student receives one dose of the IPV, OPV or IPV/OPV vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 56 days with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

dose 2 - dose 3

  • The student is at least 48 months, but is no older than 215 months,
  • the student is in State Grade TK, KN-12,
  • the student receives two doses of the IPV, OPV or IPV/OPV vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 12 months.

Students are non-compliant if they have not received any doses or do not meet the above requirements.

Measles

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are not yet enrolled in grades 00-12.

  • No requirement for ages 0-14 months.
  • 1 dose required for ages 15 months and older, given on or after 12 months of age.

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are enrolled in grades 00-12.

Vaccines that are valid for this requirement include:

  • MMRV
  • Measles

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • First dose given on or after 1st birthday
  • First state enrollment 1st grade or earlier
  • Grades K-6
  • Difference between the second and previous dose is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance.

2 doses

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • First dose given on or after 1st birthday
  • First state enrollment 7th grade or earlier
  • Grades 7-12

1 dose 

Active End Date 06/30/2019

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • First dose given on or after 1st birthday
  • First state enrollment between grades 1 and 6
  • Grades 1-6

1 dose

The student is considered compliant if the following conditions have been met:

  • 8th grade and older
  • First dose given on or after 1st birthday
  • First state enrollment after grade 7

dose 1 - dose 2 new KG and 1st

In Process  

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 48 months, but no older than 83 months old,
  • the student is in State Grade: TK, KN, 01, 
  • the student receives one dose of the Measles,  or MMRV vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 2 months with a 4 day tolerance.

2nd dose in Progress

In Process  

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives one dose of the Measles, or MMRV vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 3 months with a 4 day tolerance.

No Requirement

Age 18 years and older.

Default

Non-compliant

If a student is enrolled and does not have enough doses for their age/grade:

  • Student is non-compliant if they have no doses.
  • If a student does not have enough doses and these are not true, they should be non-compliant.

Mumps

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are not yet enrolled in grades 00-12.

  • No requirement for ages 0-14 months.
  • 1 dose required for ages 15 months and older, given on or after 12 months of age.

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are enrolled in grades 00-12.

Vaccines that are valid for this requirement include:

  • MMRV
  • Measles

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • First dose on or after 1st birthday
  • student is in state grad IN, TD, PS

2 doses

  • the student receives two doses of the MMRV, or Mumps vaccines, 
  • Difference between the second and previous dose is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the first dose and student's birthdate is greater than 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

2nd dose in Progress

Active Start Date 07/01/2019

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives one dose of the MMRV, or Mumps vaccines, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 3 months with a 4 day tolerance.

Default

Non-compliant

If a student is enrolled and does not have enough doses for their age/grade:

  • Student is non-compliant if they have no doses.
  • If a student does not have enough doses and these are not true, they should be non-compliant.

Rubella

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are not yet enrolled in grades 00-12.

  • No requirement for ages 0-14 months.
  • 1 dose required for ages 15 months and older, given on or after 12 months of age.

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are enrolled in grades 00-12.

Vaccines that are valid for this requirement include:

  • MMRV
  • Measles

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • 12 months and older
  • First dose on or after 1st birthday

Default

Non-compliant

If a student is enrolled and does not have enough doses for their age/grade:

  • Student is non-compliant if they have no doses.
  • Student is IN PROCESS if their first dose was less than or equal to 3 months ago. 
  • If a student does not have enough doses and these are not true, they should be non-compliant.

Hib

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are not yet enrolled in grades 00-12.

  • No requirement for ages 0-1 months
  • 1 dose required for ages 2-3 months
  • 2 doses required for ages 4-14 months
  • 1 dose required for ages 15-60 months (one dose on or after the first birthday)
  • No requirement for ages 61 months and older

Students who are enrolled in grades TK-12 are not required to have this vaccination.

When a student is enrolled and does not have enough doses for their age/grade:

  • Student is in process when it has been less than or equal to three months since their first date (with a 4 day tolerance).
  • When a student does not have enough doses and these are not true, the student is non-compliant. 

Varicella

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are not yet enrolled in grades 00-12:

  • No requirement for ages 0-15 months.
  • 1 dose required for ages 18 months and older.

The following vaccine dose requirements apply to students who are enrolled in grades 00-12:

  • the student receives one dose of the MMRV or Varicella vaccine, and
  • the student is in state grade IN: Infant, PS: Prekindergarten, TD: Toddlers.

2 doses K-12

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives two doses of the MMRV or Varicella vaccine,
  • the student is in state grade: TK, KN: Kindergarten, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, UE: Ungraded Elementary, US: Ungraded Secondary, AD: Adult, and
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance.

1 dose - Enrolled Before 7/1/2019

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student has an enrollment that started before 6/30/19 ,
  • the student is in state grade: TK, UE: Ungraded Elementary, KN: Kindergarten, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, and
  • the student receives one dose of the MMRV or Varicella vaccine.

dose 1 - dose 2 13+

In Process  

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 156 months (13 years) old,
  • the student receives one dose of the MMRV or Varicella vaccine, and 
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 56 days with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

The student is considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is no older than 155 months (13 years) old,
  • the student receives one dose of the MMRV or Varicella vaccine, and

Students are considered non-compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 48 months old, but no older than 83 months,
  • the student is in State Grade TK, KN-12, and
  • the student has not received any doses of the DTaP vaccine.

  • the student receives three doses of the DT, DTaP-DTP, Td, or Tdap vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 84 months with a 4 day tolerance.

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 2 months, but no older than 3 months old, and
  • the student receives one dose of the DT, DTaP-DTP, Td, or Tdap vaccine.
4-5 mos

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 5 months old, and
  • the student receives two doses of the DT, DTaP-DTP, Td, or Tdap vaccine.
6-17 mos

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 6 months, but no older than 17 months old, and
  • the student receives three doses of the DT, DTaP-DTP, Td, or Tdap vaccine.
18-60 mos

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is at least 18 months, but no older than 71 months old, and
  • the student receives four doses of the DT, DTaP-DTP, Td, or Tdap vaccine.

Students are considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • The student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the DT, DTaP-DTP, Td, or Tdap vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 56 days with a 4 day tolerance.
dose 2 - dose 3 (age >= 7)
In Process

Students are considered in process when the following conditions have been met:

  • The student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives two doses of the DT, DTaP-DTP, Td, or Tdap vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 11 months with a 4 day tolerance.

Students are non-compliant if they have not received any doses or do not meet the above requirements.
