Graduation rates represent the percentage of students who graduated high school with a regular diploma. These rates are calculated as prescribed by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), which provides data to the federal reporting system. The Bureau of Indian Education uses the 4-year adjusted cohort graduation rate which is defined as the number of first-time 9th grades who graduate with a regular high school diploma in 4 years, in accordance with NCES requirements.
Graduation rates do not include students who earn alternate diplomas or certificates.

Individual School Calculation:
(Population of students in subgroup / Population of 'All Students')*100
BIE Calculation:
(Population of students in subgroup across all BIE schools / Population of 'All Students' across all BIE schools)*100
Graduation Rate Field Descriptions
Data reported for the Graduation section of the BIE Consolidated Report Card is collected directly from the BIE Graduation Rate Data Mart.
