Health vaccines and their associated compliance listings are based on state guidelines. While Infinite Campus maintains standard guidelines for all states, districts have the ability to enter additional compliances. The following information describes vaccine compliance rules as defined by the Virginia State Department of Education.

General Compliance

  • Vaccine doses administered less than or equal to 4 days before the minimum interval or age are be counted as valid.
  • Doses administered 5 days earlier than the minimum interval or age are not be counted as valid doses and must be repeated as age-appropriate.
  • Half doses or reduced doses of a vaccine are not considered valid.

DTaP

DoseRequirements

0-2 months

No Requirement

Students age 0-2 month old are not required to receive any doses of the DTaP vaccine.

3-4 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is at least 3 months, but no older than 4 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the DTaP vaccine.

5-6 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is at least 5 months, but no older than 6 months old,
  • the student receives two dose of the DTaP vaccine.

7-18 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is at least 7 months, but no older than 18 months old,
  • the student receives three dose of the DTaP vaccine.

19 mos - 3 yrs

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when  the following conditions are met:
  • the student is at least 19 months, but no older than 47 months old,
  • the student receives four dose of the DTaP vaccine.

4 years and older

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is at least 48 months (4 years) old,
  • the student receives four dose of the DTaP vaccine,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the second and previous dose is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third and previous dose is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the fourth and previous dose is greater than 6 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the fourth dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 dose Catch-up

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student receives three dose of the DTaP vaccine,
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 84 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 12 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the second and previous dose is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third and previous dose is greater than 6 months with a 4 day tolerance.

2 doses

In-Progress

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions are met:
  • the student receives two dose of the DTaP vaccine,
  • the difference between the last dose and effective date is less than 5 months, with a one day tolerance.

1 doses

In-Progress

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions are met:
  • the student receives two dose of the DTaP vaccine,
  • the difference between the last dose and effective date is less than 28 days, with a zero day tolerance.

Tdap

The student is considered non-compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is in state grade: 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11
  • the student receives one dose of the Tdap vaccine,
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is greater than 60 months with a zero day tolerance.
Grade 6-12

The student is considered non-compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is in state grade: 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12
  • the student receives one dose of the Tdap vaccine,
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is greater than 60 months with a zero day tolerance.

For students not yet enrolled in Kindergarten:

  • the student is at least 16 months old,

Students are considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 16-month-old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Mumps vaccine,
  • the student receives one dose of the Measles vaccine,
  • the student receives one dose of the Rubella vaccine.
For students enrolled in Kindergarten or above:

  • the student receives two doses of the Measles vaccine,
    • the difference between the first dose and the student’s birth date is greater than 12 months, with a four-day tolerance,
    • the difference between the second and previous dose is greater than 28 days, with a four-day tolerance,
  • the student receives two doses of the Mumps vaccine,
    • the difference between the first dose and the student’s birth date is greater than 12 months, with a four-day tolerance,

Students are considered non-compliant the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is in state grade: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, KG,
  • the student has not received any doses of the MMR or MMRV vaccine.

Varicella

No Requirements
Students age 0-15 month old are not required to receive any doses of the Varicella vaccine.
Born before 01/01/1997
No Requirements
Students born before 01/01/1997 are not required to receive any doses of the Varicella vaccine.
2 doses
Compliant
The student is considered compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is born after 01/01/1997,
  • the student is in state grade: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, KG,
  • the student receives two doses of the Varicella or MMRV vaccine,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 12 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the second and previous dose is greater than 28 days with a 4 day tolerance.

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions are met:

  • the student is at least 3 months, but no older than 4 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the IPV, or combined IPV/OPV Polio vaccine,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance.

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is at least 2 months, but no older than 3 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Pneumococcal PCV or PPV vaccine,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than 42 days with a 4 day tolerance.
2 doses required ages 4-5 months
Compliant
The student is considered compliant when the following conditions are met:
  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 5 months old,
