Health vaccines and their associated compliance listings are based on state guidelines. While Infinite Campus maintains standard guidelines for all states, districts have the ability to enter additional compliances. The following information describes vaccine compliance rules as defined by the New Mexico department of Health.

General Compliance

  • Vaccine doses administered less than or equal to 4 days before the minimum interval or age are counted as valid.
  • The following doses are not counted as valid doses:
    • Doses administered 5 days earlier than the minimum interval or age.
    • With the exception of Hepatitis B vaccine, immunizations given before 6 weeks of age.
    • Half doses or reduced doses of a vaccine.

DTaP

RuleRequirements

Age 0-1 months 

No Requirement 

Students 1 month old and younger are not required to receive any doses of the DTaP vaccine.

1 dose by 4 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 1 month old but no older than 4 months, and
  • the student receives 1 dose of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap).

2 doses by 6 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 4 months old but no older than 6 months, and
  • the student receives 2 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap).

3 doses by 47 months

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 6 months old but no older than 47 months, and
  • the student receives 3 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap).

4 doses

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 48 months old but no older than 59 months, and
  • the student receives 4 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap).

5 doses K-12

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 60 months old,
  • the student receives 5 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap), and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.
4 doses K-12
Compliant
The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met: 
  • the student is at least 60 months old,
  • the student receives 4 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap),
  • the difference between the fourth and previous dose is greater than or equal to 6 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses  7+

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives 3 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap),
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 6 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 84 months with a 4 day tolerance.

4 doses 7+

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives 4 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap), 
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is less than or equal to 11 months with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the third dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the fourth dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 6 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 84 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses 7+

In Progress

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives 3 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap), and
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 6 months.

2 doses 7+

In Progress

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives 2 doses of the following vaccines:
    • Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT),
    • Diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, combined (DTaP, DTP),
    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap), and

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 84 months old,
  • the student receives 1 dose of the following vaccines:

    • Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), OR
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap), and

Hepatitis B

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is no older than 4 months old, and
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine.

2 doses 4-6 months 

Compliant 

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 4 months old, but no older than 5 months, 
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine, and 
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses  

Compliant 

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 3 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine,
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the last dose and the second valid dose is greater than or equal to 56 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between the last dose and the first valid dose is greater than or equal to 112 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 168 days with a 4 day tolerance.

2 doses Hep B-2 Over 11 yrs 

Compliant

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 132 months old,
  • the student receives  2 doses of the Hepatitis B - 2 doses (HepB-2) vaccine, and 
  • the difference between the last dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 4 months with a 4 day tolerance.

1 dose Hep B-2 Over 11 yrs

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 132 months old,
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Hepatitis B - 2 doses (HepB-2) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 4 months.

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine, and 
  • the difference between the last dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 56 days with a 0 (zero) day tolerance.

  • the student receives 1 dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine, and

MMR

  • the student receives one for of the MMR or MMRV vaccine, and

    • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

Students 60 months old and older are not required to receive any doses of the Haemophilus influenza, type B (Hib) vaccine.
1 dose (4-5 months)
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when:
  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 5 months old,
  • the student receives one dose of the Hib vaccine, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 42 days with a 4 day tolerance.
2 doses (6-15 months)
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when:
  • the student is at least 6 months, but no older than 15 months old,
  • the student receives two doses of the Hib vaccine, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 42 days with a 4 day tolerance.
3 doses (16-59 months)
Compliant
Students are considered compliant when:
  • the student is at least 16 months, but no older than 59 months old,
  • the student receives three doses of the Hib vaccine,
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 42 days with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

Students are considered compliant when:
  • the student is at least 12 months, but no older than 59 months old,

Pneumococcal

  • the student is at least 4 months, but no older than 5 months old,
  • the student receives two doses of the Pneumococcal (PPV or PCV) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the first dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 42 days with a 4 day tolerance.

Students are considered compliant when:
  • the student is at least 6 months, but no older than 14 months old,
  • the student receives three doses of the Pneumococcal (PPV or PCV) vaccine, and

Varicella

  • the student is at least 12 months (1 year) old, and no older than 47 months old,
  • the student is in state grade: PK (PreKindergarten), 2U (0-2 Year old),
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Varicella or Measles-Mumps-Rubella-Varicella (MMRV) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 12 months with a 4 day tolerance.

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 48 months (4 years) old,
  • the student is in state grade: PK (PreKindergarten),

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is in state grade: KN, KF, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, OS,

  • the difference between second and previous dose is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between third and previous dose is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance, 
  • the difference between the fourth and previous dose is greater than or equal to 6 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses IPV 

Compliant 

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 3 doses of the IPV or IPV/OPV Polio vaccine, 
  • the difference between second and previous dose is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between third and previous dose is greater than or equal to 6 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

3 doses OPV 

Compliant 

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student receives 3 doses of the OPV or IPV/OPV Polio vaccine, 
  • the difference between second and previous dose is greater than or equal to 28 days with a 4 day tolerance,
  • the difference between third and previous dose is greater than or equal to 6 months with a 4 day tolerance, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 48 months with a 4 day tolerance.

  • the student receives one dose of the Meningococcal (MCV4 or MenACWY) vaccine, 
  • the student is in state grade 07, 08, 09, 10, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 108 months with a 4 day tolerance.
1 dose 11th grade, under 16
Compliant
The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is no older than 191 months,
  • the student is in state grade 11, 
  • the student receives one dose of the dose of the Meningococcal (MCV4 or MenACWY) vaccine, and
  • the difference between the last dose and the student's birthdate is greater than or equal to 108 months with a 4 day tolerance.
2 doses 11th grade

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:
  • the student is in state grade 11,

The student is considered compliant when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 48 months (4 years) old,
  • the student receives 2 doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine, and
  • the difference between the second dose and the previous is greater than or equal to 6 months with a 4 day tolerance.

1 dose

In Progress

The student is considered in progress when the following conditions have been met:

  • the student is at least 18 months old, 
  • the student receives 1 dose of the Hepatitis A vaccine, and
  • the difference between the dose and the effective date is less than or equal to 6 months with a 1 day tolerance.

Students are considered non-compliant when they are in state grade: 2U, PK, KN, KF, 01, 02 and have not received any doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine.
